    1. Avoid drinking alcohol
    2. Chew your food until it turns liquid
    3. Eat from smaller plates
    4. Stop eating in your car, with a phone in your face or in front of the TV
    5. Take psyllium husk to lower cholesterol
    6. Don't eat until you're stuffed
    7. Take a walk after a meal
    8. Drink water before and after meals
    9. Try to avoid drinking water with your meals.
    10. Increase nutrition in food during the day to reduce eating at night.
    11. Brush & floss your teeth after your final meal of the day
    12. Volumize foods with veggies to get full
    13. Dine on blue plates
    14. Eat the right carbs like potatoes
    15. Drink soup before your meals
    16. Avoid bread when eating out
    17. Stop eating foods that you tend to overeat
    18. Eat similar meals every day
    19. Avoid eating foods out of a bag and instead portion it out into a bowl
    20. Stop eating your emotions.
    21. Change your mindset: Focus on eating healthy foods instead of avoiding bad foods

    Watched your video "im 44, if you're in your 20s, watch this", and really found immense value from it. I somehow had this notion from society expections that i have to achieve everything before the age of 30, due to which i started to think that my life ends at when im 30 and i have to do everything before that (i never thought how life would look like after 30). But after founding and watching you, my perspective is changing, im starting to think life's curve would continue to go up with age as i take care of myself along the way. Thank you, Dan. Your content is amazing and valuable.

      It’s weird, isn’t it, I’m 25 and I had the same assumptions about “making it” by 30… I guess a lot of us are in the same boat and it makes you feel really bad about where you’re at in life.

      @@BigManGerald I'm 47 doing my last year of my degree. Life is just about to take off and I have life experiences to guide me through the minefields which I might experience in years to come. Don't stress about not having made it by the time you're 30. Some people undergo career changes in their 40s. Enjoy the journey as you go along.

      Heck yes!!!! It can get better as you age! I kept getting “getting old isn’t for the brave” from unhealthy old people. I’m really glad I watched that video as well! I’m definitely starting to experience it, even daily, at 34!!! That video is soooo on point!!

    #17 is so important. I think people sometimes misrepresent that as "oh, so I can only eat bland chicken and rice every day?!" but it's not about eliminating all of the foods you enjoy. It's about recognizing those couple of foods that trigger binge eating, and just not sabotaging yourself.

    Eating to 80% fullness with real whole foods, and then having a big glass of water always works wonders for me. Together with intermittent fasting, walking and strength training it's keeping me my most fit and healthy at sge 37 😊🔥💪

    Solid advice. Especially the potatoes! I credit potatoes as one of the biggest aids in me losing 40 lbs. so yummy but fills up the stomach so fast. I like to wake up and pop a few in the oven then go do my morning stuff and after eat them for breakfast or I take them to work for lunch or when I need a snack. For me it also helped to cut out oil. I saute with vegetable broth or water to cut down on calories and I don’t notice a difference in the taste. Hope to implement a couple of these to help lose the last stubborn 10 lbs. I can work on chewing more and focusing on my food and not watching something.

      Yes! Potatoes with eggs is my go to meal. It's satiating and easy to digest.

    I don’t think we understand how important it is to abstain from alcohol. Made me gain 15lbs real quick when I started drinking. Was really disappointed since I had just worked so hard to get it off!

    Mastication starts in the mouth and only swallow, once it is like pureed baby food.
    05.20 tab hard, when life revolves inside a cell.
    Crisps are best eaten out of a bowl and using a spoon - sounds posh, but it saves the fingers from getting greasy.

    Coming from Linkedln. Thank you for the advice. I would like to share some feedback:
    1) Pls share about maco nutrients split. This video mostly includes behavioral things. Its helpful but I was expecting relevant advice on nutrition.
    2) The side clips from movies are a distraction. I suggest to reduce it or avoid them altogether.

    I don't drink alcohol since 2022, but Dan, starting a video with the words - "if you want to lose weight - stop drinking alcohol" is brutal 😂 most of the people have stopped watching this video right after these words 😁

      I've lost 7 lbs in the last 5 weeks which I guess is good considering I'm actually trying for once. But I really don't want to cut alcohol completely. I mean I only have 1-2 drinks on Saturday (typically) and that's it. But I know deep down, if I cut it completely, I'd probably lose even more weight. But I guess stupid ol' me rather do this on hard mode. lol

    Regarding chewing your food - If you don’t chew properly, food goes undigested, hence you absorb less calories. This is counter intuitive to what you said. Can anyone explain?

      If food goes undigested, you are missing out on nutrients as well. We eat for nourishment. If we are not nourished, we will still be hungry and keep eating. Unless one has phenomenal willpower and discipline, it is very difficult to not eat when hungry.

    Can someone pleaseeee give me advice?? I’m not an alcoholic but I’m unemployed, starting school September and I’m bored.. Home isn’t a safe environment, so I try to avoid it but I don’t know where to go after that.. so I usually just end up at a bar..

      Go to a coffee shop instead. Or a library or the movies. Basically anything but a bar. Believe me, once you get going down that road it’s hard to stop. So don’t even start it.

      I think the reply left before mine is way more helpful, but for me I believe vodka is one of the lowest cal alcohols, so if I am in a circumstance where I'd like to drink, I try to use that without mixing it and limit + track my intake

      Order a bottled water in the bar, or a tonic water. If people ask why, just tell them you’re in recovery and they should leave you alone.
      Good luck, life is hard but not long to go til school, tick the days off and congratulate yourself on getting through each day, go for a run, take 100 photos on your cellphone around your area to remind you of where you came from, just try to keep busy…..fingers crossed
