@calisongbird I agree that we all judge, but often times we make negative conclusions about ourselves & others that limits our lives. When I catch myself judging without reason, I remind myself that my point of view doesn't tell the whole story.
44 really isn't that old. It's just that 99% of people eat shit and drink shit, so they look like shit. Live a healthy life and you'll still look good at 44. I'm 44 and everyone always says I look great for 44. I don't think I look great for 44.....everyone else just looks like shit at 44
I’m 24 and I’ve been living by myself since I was 15 cause of an awkward and awful family situation, and I was surprised that I knew almost all of those, I just picked them up by being in a position where I had no parent looking over me. Thanks for the ones I did not know, I’ll treasure them greatly
"Teach your children what you did not know, instead of giving them what you did not have" is an exceptional wake-up-call. Somehow I do/try both yet, but I will rethink my focus on that. Thank you for this food-for-thoughts!
Dude I been taking good 8-10 mile walks lately and I gotta say I’m genuinely impressed at what it’s able to do for you mentally. Like it hits different bro
WALK, WALK, and WALK! At 41, I couldn’t agree more. Not just for fitness but also mental stimulation. Also a great way to encourage conversation when doing it with other people… Along the same line, STRETCH everyday. Buy a mat and have it ready to go. Doesn’t need to be a intense daily yoga session. Just basic stretching. Does wonders! Great list!
Totally agree on the stretching, I do it so many times a day because it immediately releases tension and makes me feel better and more energized! By now my friends and family have come to expect a random runner’s lounge or a yogi squat, among many other 😅😂
Walking is a good one - at work when I couldn't problem solve something I'd head out for 20 minutes and would always come up with a new approach to try.
I haven’t gone for a long walk in a year! I drive a lot, I’ve two Mercedes ML’s and a tractor i think I’m addictive to cars and heavy machinery, hence why I’ve urinary problems with urge to pee
Starting over at 29, going back to school and trying a new career i had interest in but didnt pursue the first time around. Glad to hear it's never too late! Great advice all around. Ive made all of my best decisions (like this one) on long walks.
Brother I am in the exact same boat as you! I'm turning 30 next month and this year I started an electrical apprenticeship. It has its difficulty but it's never too late to follow any endeavour you choose.
Thank you for giving me a new outlook, I took many notes! I’m 24 and just lost the job I had for 5 years. Your words have completely shifted my perspective, in a time where it feels like my world is collapsing around me. Your insight and wisdom truly are making the world a better place!
I'm also 44. If you're an anxious person one of the most helpful insights is that nobody thinks about you and therefore nobody really cares about the things you worry about . People think about their own problems most of the time. If they are judgy all the time, stay away or know they are judging themselves and take it out on you
Super list!! My favorite: It's never too late to change. When I was 45, I lost 65 pounds. When I was 46, I started a rigorous exercise regimen, which I continue to this day (with some minor modifications for age as needed). When I was 50, I was in the best health of my life. I'm 65 now, and still going strong in all aspects of my life (despite some hiccups).
My favorite: 9:33 You’re never going to be as young as you are right now. Even at 26 years old this rings true. In the past year I’ve taken two spontaneous US travel trips with my partner and this was always my mindset. We have no kids, a career which lets me take a week off every now and then, I have my health. If anytime is good, it’s now! So much wisdom in this video it’s hard to know where to start haha
Spot on!! At 65, I’ve followed almost every single one of these bits of advice. You are wise, you’re clearly going far in life! Soooo much great advice - one of my favs that I always tell people is listen to the people with good advice that are willing and able to say they DON’T know something. Keep up the great work and advice!!
This is INCREDIBLE!!!! Tons of wisdom!!!! Teaching my kids what I didn’t learn versus giving them what I didn’t have. That one was the most helpful for me.
Yessss, I loved that one too!! Our society is sadly so incredibly materialistic when in reality what we need more of isn’t more junk, but knowledge and acquisition of valuable life skills! Including financial wellness!! Budgeting, saving in general but also an emergency fund (in high yield saving accounts!!), investing, having a 401k or Roth IRA (to plan for retirement), etc.i wish I had leaned about all of these things yearsssss ago but sadly my family didn’t know and I was also let down by our dang school system here in the US… Thankfully the cycle ends with me!
all good tips! You're right, walking is too underrated. I stopped trying to run myself to death and started walking. Less down time because I wasn't injured and it just feels better.
This is one of probably a 4-7 videos on TH-cam (using it since launch), that I’m writing a comment under. I’m 36, been through a rough 6 year business ride, and atm starting a whole new way of living, business, and some other stuff too. Came to almost the same things you have pointed out in such a great, calm and good (I mean good vs evil) way. You have a clear mind, pure soul and a great heart. My gratitude for sharing it with others. It’s a good way to spread kindness. Best of luck in everything in your life :) P.S. My best one - is about taking notes in the shower!
I like what you said at the end. 'Even though I'm 44 years old, I feel like I'm just getting started' ... I hadn't thought about it in that way. Gave me a new perspective on things :)
Just turned 25, doing a lot of these already and there are some here I hadn't thought about or definitely need to improve on. Thanks for the great no BS advice, this was very straightforward. Much appreciated
This video was amazing. Straight to the point with every bit of advice. I’m turning 21 next week and I’ve been thinking about things I need to do to set myself up for a good future, and this video did just that. Also “Success is subjective” really hit me at my core, because I’ve always felt what I want isn’t what a lot of people in my peer group also want. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this video. I’m definitely subscribing to see what you are going to make in the future. ❤
This is probably the most sound advice ive found on youtube. Agree fully with everything especially perception is everything. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge for FREE. You're a blessing to content creation, keep living Sir!

I loved every point on this list and still work on becoming more consistent with them. For me, walking before bed has been one of the best hobbies I implemented in my routine. My sleep and mind clarity have skyrocketed which makes my day much better.
The best decisions come from a moment of stillness. At the age of 43 i am learning this. Giving decisions time to brew rather than rushing them. Lots of really useful information, thank you
Love the video! Great advice and most helpful tip that I can start is to not drink coffee first thing when I wake up and to drink water first. Many other great tips but this is one I want to work on. 42 years old and want to continue to make good habits. Thank you!
I’m 44 next month, and I agree 100% with all of your points! I have to start implementing quite a few of them though! I have spend the last 20 years working on my career, finances and making a family, but I’ve neglected my health. I need to focus on that now!
I just discovered your channel! Love it! And you look barely 34! Thank you for offering sound, grounded and wise content. Have been loving your vids all morning
Thank you, for sharing! So valuable! My favorite: your perception will always be your reality - everything will always be in your favor. Much appreciated.
Phenomenal list. I found you from someone on LinkedIn sharing the video. It reminds me of the Golden Verses of Pythagoras, but applied to the modern day.
I really enjoyed the entire video. The one that stuck out to me is taking time to meditate and be still. That’s something I need to do, as well as take walks when I’m feeling stressed. Thanks for the basic but eye opening knowledge.
I just watched this video and found it very impressive! The tips on health and habits are very practical. I especially liked the part about combining nutrition, exercise, and improving sleep. I’ll try to apply these right away! Thanks for sharing
Tip 01: Workout to build muscles , Diet to burn fat, and cardio for heart and lungs health Tip 02: Eat protein 0.8-1 g of protein per 1pound/0.45kg of body weight. Great stuff but I think you missed a huge one. The important of performing a daily stretching routine. Or yoga if you wanted to practice a particular method. Either way, preserving flexibility is paramount as we age, both for physical and mental health. I truly think this deserves its own bullet point.
Cheat code #45 for my fellow US residents: get disability insurance to help replace some or most of your income if you have to leave work either temporarily or permanently for a number of medical reasons. There are two types of disability plans: short term and long term. The short term policy usually lasts between 3 and 6 months, which is enough time for you to recover from a serious injury or illness (usually you can use it for any leave covered under your 12 week unpaid FMLA protected period, including parental leave) and return to work. 3 to 6 months is also the point your long-term policy would kick in should you still be unable to return to work due to an ongoing or permanent disability. Generally, it takes at least 3 months before you're eligible to use your long term disability insurance policy benefits. If you didn't have your short-term policy and found yourself unable to work, you would need to find a way to cover the gap in your income for that entire time, which under normal circumstances is anywhere between an uncomfortable stretch and an outright financial disaster for most Americans. If you're off work because of a major illness or accident, that's likely to be even more of an issue since your living expenses tend to be even higher when you need medical diagnosis and treatment for a new medical condition. Social Security disability income applications are almost never approved upon first submission, requiring that applicants file appeals providing more and more documentation. It's becoming more and more necessary to have the help of an attorney who specializes in Social Security claims to get an application approved, and even then it can take years. Social Security does back pay from the initial filing/qualification date, but getting a lump sum of backdated benefits two years after your income dried up isn't going to keep you from losing housing, health insurance, car, access to medications and groceries, or paying your kids' childcare billing. And not everyone even qualifies for Social Security benefits in the first place. Short and long-term disability insurance plans tend to be pretty affordable overall, so you're not talking about paying an enormous amount for something you might not ever need to use. But not having it when and if you need it is devastating, and can be the difference between surviving to continue living your life, and maintaining your independence from having to become totally financially dependent on a significant other, family, or friends, whose non-financial support you will also need to rely on. My spouse was always healthy and was far and away the primary earner and source of health insurance benefits in our household for 7 years. At the age of 30, he was identified as having brain damage from an (at the time) unknown illness. Three days before the MRI that showed the damage, we found out that I was pregnant with our first and only child. My spouse's neurologist couldn't even give him a formal diagnosis for another 7 months, weeks before our child was born. If he hadn't had both policies, we would have lost our house and could never have afforded to buy groceries and diapers, let alone feed our dogs. Even without worrying about how the bills were getting paid, the transition to being retired due to disability has been incredibly challenging for my spouse, for whom this career was a massive part of his identity and a source of pride and enjoyment. I doubt he would still be here today, one way or another, if there had been one more major setback to deal with. His 5th anniversary of his diagnosis and our child's 5th birthday will happen in July and August of this year, and it's still a huge struggle to navigate his medical needs on top of the changes to our family dynamic and day to day life, but we are all so incredibly glad that he's still here and that we still are fairly independent from having to lean all of our financial weight on family and friends. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. 🙃
Fucking gem of a video, human history should be like this, knowledge always improving so our future generations will be better off with more knowledge. Beautiful contribution to human kind, please make more.
The online world doesn't care for age. You're already crushing it at 44, but it's never too late to start. I'm 40 and having a blast trying to master basics like "show up every single day". You've outlined a solid path to a more fulfilling life and now I feel inspired (or was it the caffeine?).
Super video. Tiny detail around eating before going to bed: I recently listened to Andrew Huberman’s sleep series, and apparently research has shown that it’s only the last 30-45 minutes before going to sleep that you should avoid eating. Before that, it doesn’t really affect your sleep. Good news for people who might get hungry in the evening. The new one for me was looking at the shoulder of the person who is in your path. Will try it!
There is tons of channels that talk about life and habits and Future... By far you are one of the best or in other words you are "awesometastic" you got a new follower here.. i love you content bro 💯💯
11:02 - the 38. hit the hardest for me cause i was trying to seek feedback from psychologists but never felt like i actually want to hear them or do what they suggest to help depression. like i don't really feel their authority at all, so their suggestions were not really helpful. especially about the creativity topic.. depression sucks away creativity and i was tryna find the answer how to be creative from people who never made a single song or drawing..
4:50 wow I started doing this organically. Reading nonfic in the morning gets me motivated and starts my brain in a mode that feels ready to learn throughout the day. Fiction at night is like a reward.

Most of them are super valuable. If I had to pick one, I'd go with 26, regarding emotional intelligence. I guess this one is also the least commonly known.

Love the video! Great advice and most helpful tip that I can start is to not drink coffee first thing when I wake up and to drink water first. Many other great tips but this is one I want to work on. 42 years old and want to continue to make good habits. Thank you!
I love that one too. Great stuff my friend!
I’m also 44 and what a complete and concise list this is. All 100% accurate too.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
I’m 44 next month, and I agree 100% with all of your points! I have to start implementing quite a few of them though! I have spend the last 20 years working on my career, finances and making a family, but I’ve neglected my health. I need to focus on that now!
Amazing insights, keep up the good work!
you talking about wisdom is truly hit me the hardest
I just discovered your channel! Love it! And you look barely 34! Thank you for offering sound, grounded and wise content. Have been loving your vids all morning
Muchos gracias! Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you and welcome from LinkedIn!
Have no prior knowledge of these Golden Verses, will be checking these teachings immediately - thank you for sharing 😊
@@LouEdgley Thank you!
I’m 44 and waking up to this video was such a blessing. Thank you 😊
I really enjoyed the entire video. The one that stuck out to me is taking time to meditate and be still. That’s something I need to do, as well as take walks when I’m feeling stressed. Thanks for the basic but eye opening knowledge.
You look like you’re 34 at the oldest, not 44! Hats off to you sir for encouraging us and educating us!
omg you look great for 44 ! congrats better than bryan johnson ahahah
I just watched this video and found it very impressive! The tips on health and habits are very practical. I especially liked the part about combining nutrition, exercise, and improving sleep. I’ll try to apply these right away! Thanks for sharing

Good stuff, all solid life lessons!
I like how each one is quick and to the point.
Great stuff but I think you missed a huge one.
The important of performing a daily stretching routine. Or yoga if you wanted to practice a particular method. Either way, preserving flexibility is paramount as we age, both for physical and mental health. I truly think this deserves its own bullet point.
True. This one is super important for your body AND your brain. Love this 😊.
Yup
It even halfway through and this is so helpful. God Bless 🙌🏽
I wish I had access to a forest
This is good advice. I’ll write each step in my journal to make sure it sticks.
Just randomly discovered your channel yesterday, thanks a lot for all the advice which are clear, reachable and quite realistic! Take care
32 year old here, this video made me crack up, and also feel better about my choices in general. Thank you
Show up, do the work & improve. I’ve known I need to do this for a while.akinf it this straightforward was refreshing. Thanks.
Fucking gem of a video, human history should be like this, knowledge always improving so our future generations will be better off with more knowledge.
Beautiful contribution to human kind, please make more.
🙏🏼
I will turn 24 next month and this has been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much, sir!
Tremendous value. This guy should have a million plus subscribers. Most underrated channel on TH-cam at the moment. 📈📺
Thanks 🙏🏼
The online world doesn't care for age. You're already crushing it at 44, but it's never too late to start.
I'm 40 and having a blast trying to master basics like "show up every single day". You've outlined a solid path to a more fulfilling life and now I feel inspired (or was it the caffeine?).
Right on Tom
I'm 24, and this helped me!
Thank you, sir, for your wisdom.
This was a great motivator, thank you for the reassurance. I'm 36 and i feel like my life is just getting started.
This is such an information-dense and all-encompassing video, no fluff. Bravo!
Thank you so much. I needed this. Sending grace and gratefulness from Philippines.
My perception is my reality is my favorite piece of advice in the video.
That’s a powerful, life-changing statement.
There is tons of channels that talk about life and habits and Future... By far you are one of the best or in other words you are "awesometastic" you got a new follower here.. i love you content bro 💯💯
It's strange to get recommended this video when I'm 24 but a lot of these things are very helpful. I really need to focus on rejection and goals
The egg tip in the middle was imo the best of these and also the most useful.
Just a few minutes in and i was like this is literally me. Great info and vid!
Great video man, will try and implement some of these 👍
