    The reason there's a dust filter at the top is because, when the PC is turned off, and the radiator fans are not blowing air out, dust will fall on the filter protecting the radiator fans ;)

    • @burdmate
      @burdmate 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not the reason at all. They'll get way more dust when moving dusty air that made it through the front intake.

      Not really. Dust build up will just get blow off the top fans when the pc is turned on.

      @@Le_Sourpuss you’re gonna get dust buildup on top of the gpu regardless. I have an NZXT H7 Flow with fine filters in a super clean gaming room, and the top of the gpu still gets covered in a fine layer of dust. There’s really no way to stop dust from entering the case, no matter how clean the room is.

  • @RANDOMNATION907
    @RANDOMNATION907 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I believe the top filter on the H7 is to keep things 'dust free' if you mount intake fans blowing cool air straight down onto your hardware and then blow the air out thru a front mounted radiator and out the rather porous front panel. Current contemporary case designs pull in air from the front , pushing thru a radiator and sending all that hot air into the case and all over the hardware you're trying to cool. Kind of defeating the purpose. The H7 design looks like it would be much more efficient, only cold air in, and only hot air out, assuming I'm right about the reason for the top filter.

    just to clarify the exact specs on what fans/rads you can fit in the h7
    front: 3 140mm fans (pretty rare I think), or 360mm rad
    top: 3 120mm fans, or 360mm rad
    rear: 1 140mm fan (also pretty uncommon)
    having the 3 140mms in the front and 1 in the rear can significantly increase cooling performance/dB ratio, which is what sold me on the case over others personally.

      @@RubbingPotatoes Cases like this, that are not meant to move, i much prefer quality build over weight. Heavier often mean better structural stiffness, less wobbly thicker plates and metal in general. H5 use very thin cheap feeling metal chasis. Of all well known manufacturers from what i can see, NZXT is one of those that use very cheap metal in their midle tier chasis. Not that others are significally better, but they are. Their cases look good in shoots and design is top tier eye pleasing, but when you inspect in person, is clear material quality is poor.

    @6:30:sucking cold air from the outside through your radiator into the case? That makes absolutely no sense. The purpose of an AIO is to move hot air from the CPU block to the radiator and exhaust it outside of the case, not suck it back in so you heat up your case even more. I guess if your fit 3 140mm fans at the front running at 2400rpm and flip the rear fan at the back so in becomes an intake fan it might work. You would go deaf from the fan noise. No one does this and this case isn't set up to work that way.
