Very good for a 1. Kyu. Looks a little bit scared of the whole situation, but that is often normal.

Nicely done! Personally, I don't approve of furikaburi done that way. The Roshukai method raises the arm up to present an ukenagashi movement just prior to the sword pointing to the rear. She's obviously been trained her way. Same with the noto, which does not present to the front, but she puts it across the body. But that's the variations in styles. I thought she did really well.

@@kyokutoukaratedoazumadojoc7317 what are the difference between iaido and kendo? I don’t know much about Japanese martial arts, and it’s system. I really jujitsu. I personally practice kung fu for like 8 years now. I’m now interested in Japanese martial arts. From what I have gathered, I saw that iaido was more drawing forms, quickest draw. Kendo is actual practice with the helm and wooden swords and body armor? Thank you for your reply, I greatly appreciate your knowledge.

@@Jasongy827 yes, that is the general idea but kendo is bamboo swords (shinai). Also iaido kata do not just deal with quickest draw. We started with bokuto (wooden sword), then were alowed to use Iaito (non sharpened sword made of light material). only high ranking dan can use Shinken (live bladed katana). Hope this little bit of info helps. Feel free to ask more, I will help as much as I can (but I am no expert!)

@@kyokutoukaratedoazumadojoc7317 , this is the Royal flag of Scotland and my family's flag, I wouldn't believe it if I didn't have the all the genealogy documents. A friend of mine that I worked with in the lumber yard for 13 years turned out to be my cousin. And we are related to the Royal Stewart's of Scotland . Our genealogy goes back to through King James VI of Scotland/1 of England. Then to Robert the Bruce of Scotland, then to Charlemagne, then to King Tutankhamuns sister.
( even the historians are going crazy trying to figure out this family's connections, his sister is his wife and his mother ? 😵 ). Then it could possibly go back to King David of the old testament. I have the documents, but I can't figure them out just yet.
We are the "HEINZ 57 SAUCE OF GENEOLOGY." 😀
To put it in plain easy to understand English....Prince William and Prince Harry are my family's cousins. The lion flag that was first used in the 12th century. I suspect that it represents the Hebrew lion of judah, but I could just be guessing about it. 😕

For your information, we had just finished karate practice and just put our hakama over our karategi. We don't teach iaido as we only reached 1st Kyu. We studied our karate in Japan where we achieved black belt and the uwagi was a gift from our sensei. We are not franchised, do not do parties, only wear white dougi, never upsell, have one price for all and take our commitment to our students seriously. We currently teach FREE online classes and classes in the park and follow the philosophy that martial arts is not for profit. We are an NPO registered. Go and troll somewhere else and remember, negative ignorant comments help no one and achieve nothing. OSU

@@burgondix9348 this is not an exam, we were squeezing in practice for our zenkenreniai examination. The reason for taking the video was to see our weakpoints. It is uploaded so that everyone trying the best in martial arts can see that others who are far from perfect are tryin too. We encourage everyone to practice, no matter what you are wearing or where you are and embrace the concept of jikishin kore dojo. We have studied martial arts for over 25 years and continue to learn and practice to get better. None of the many iaido sensei we met would condone their students making nasty comments on the internet. lets all try to create a positive environment for those who study or wish to study martial arts.
