You guys should make it a priority to get water up into your house ASAP. Most household chores are based off water. Your everyday life will become 100 times easier, you will save much more time, and everyone in the house will be happier. It is also much healthier, then you can always wash your hands inside your home and easily wash food. We do many building projects. Water, electricity, and toilet are the #1 priorities we get set up 1st. Pumping water up a hill is not always easy, but can be solved with bigger pumps and parts if needed. Best of luck.
It is good to learn kids how to work so they don't have to depend on nobody when they get bigger keep on having fun and be self everyone all my best love Ramon.
I'm not sure if I could survive in this kind of environment for a long period. I like order, cleanliness to a certain extent ,simplicity. Most important to me is space...I need my own space, peace and quiet at the end of a day to de-stress.
I see progress around your home every video. After the faster pace in Angles City, I'm sure province life seems to drag by. I hope by the time you are there a few months things will be more like you want them to be. I think most of us used to modern life would take a while to get used to the simple life people live in the country. We are used to all the modern conveniences and concerned about "time". lol Phil
Even tho i am a new subscriber i have to say that it makes me happy to see that Bing is adjusting very well to the new life. She have had her share of troubles already so i wish for a good future for sweet Samantha.
Hi there I like your video this is the best life. I’m from Canada I was in the Philippine on December 2023 for 5 weeks love it I really enjoyed it and if God bless I will come back again. Thanks
Province life seems hard, but simple and fulfilling. I think most expats can not live that lifestyle. Thank you for sharing part of your day. God bless.
Lots everyone’s being more physical even B2. We’ve never seen movement before like this. Rocky is getting along well with the chickens nicely. Philly will heal with fresh air from riding on the black bike. Thanks for sharing.
I think the key is to keep Brian’s A1c below 7.0. Also, the wound he has now has to be kept clean, even it means cleaning it a few times a day. I’m diabetic and get my A1c checked every 3 months. I do watch what I eat and my reading is usually between 6.0 and 6.7. So, I’m within the target range. It’s not easy because one has to avoid not only sugar but carbs like rice, bread, and pasta. I know he already avoids alcohol, which should be used in moderation like one beer or glass of wine a day only. I have been living with diabetes myself for more than 25 years.
Brian will be fine hes a trooper and i can tell he is enjoying himself and adapting just fine. I know because my brother went to pampanga and guam for the first travel of his life and he was miserable the entire time so i know what miserable looks like and Brian doesnt look miserable at all.
He is a diabetic and obviously does not watch what he eats. The infection on his leg is probably a diabetic ulcer. If you watch how he walks he probably has advanced diabetic neuropathy.
Lot Lot, I’m glad to hear everyone is adjusting to the new environment. I think I seen Philly in your video wearing pants? I think that’s a great idea! They sell pants that are made to be worn in the jungle. Philly should buy a few pairs of them. Help his legs heal up. 🙏🏻
Great update vlog Lot. You should consider looking online for a retractable clothes line, there are several to choose from online and I was also looking for mosquito netting for the bed also. There are multiple options for netting for over the bed, that would help Brian in the PM when sleeping. When you get a good mailing address, you should look and check out those things..It is those small things that when moving you just don't think about until you need them....Best of luck with the new adventure....
Oh My god! Reminds me of my late mother telling me how she did it when she live on the farm here in iowa in 1950`s . She carried the buckets of water across a gravel road up a small hill into the house. About the same distance. If you want hot water you put it on the stove and heat it. She said that she did it several times a day.
Its a different way of living without regrets, things will get better, hopefully Brian's infection gets better also. You are just going through the adjustment phase right now. I hope Hanna is doing well.
Lot, after Phillys wound heals, teach him about body lotion he can apply to repel bugs. I was in Tacloban before, my friend told me this and I never got bit once. We stayed in open air place like your house. Nice video showing the area❤🎉 Also, you guys have been lucky weatherwise. Sometimes it rains hard everyday this time of year. In Manila in previous years June was very wet/stormy

try to get some steroid ointment (Cortaid) for the bites if it's available. It'll keep them from itching so bad. That stuff is good to have around, in general.
That little dog you call 'batchoy' is so CUTE❤, going around with his tail wagging, digging dirt, frolicking with the chickens. Even the kids are smiling while toting laundry. Great lifestyle❤🎉😊
It is so nice to see Bing smiling, playing, and not constantly being on the phone and Tik Tok. She seems so happy now, that is awesome! Yeah, like I said in a previous comment, it is just a matter of time and you will adjust and end up really enjoy living there. Prayers for Brian to feel better quickly. Real nice video, Lot, keep up the great content.
Lot, a quick question if you don’t mind answering: My oldest grandson is here listening to your video with me and he’s asking what is your native language. He speaks Tagalog and Kapampangan and English fluently and learning Spanish from his friends at school.
Our national language is Tagalog, Kapampangan is a dialect from the province of Pampanga , we have different dialects from different provinces in the Philippines
@@lilianherman3465 My grandson lived in Magalang, Pampanga and immigrated to the US when he was 6 years old. My daughter-in-law’s mothers’ side of the family are Kapampangan speakers and her father’s side are Tagalog speakers.
@@jamesoconnor2753I think Lot's mother tongue is Cebuano/Bisaya. It's the language spoken in the eastern part of the Visayas region (Cebu, Leyte, etc) and in many parts of Mindanao (including Siargao & Socorro islands). The locals speak Bisaya in that area and learn Tagalog + English in school.
Within the context of what she was saying, she is saying that this was how doing laundry was done before all the modern tools of today...like washing machines etc. 👍
Good advice ; but he probably has laishmanias from the Sand flies . ( Something I currently have ) Antibiotic ointment won't help with that . I've been through two different kinds of prescriptions for it from the hospital so far and I still have it . Well , good luck with that Brian . Oh , and hydrogen peroxide for the wound is not a good thing .

Ever since I got off the plane, I've been hearing about citronella plants keeps the mosquitoes away. Is that true? If it's true, I want bunches of them when I move out to the province at the end of this month!
@spurl - Yes, citronella works against mosquitos. It's called lemon grass/ "tanglad" or "salay" in PH. Some stalls in malls (local perfumeries) make their own organic citronella-based sprays. Some SM malls (SM Dept Store) also have them (the citronella sprays) - look in the perfume section, usually near the scented candles & essential oils. I like the sprays better than "Off lotion" since lotion can get sticky in the heat & humidity. Having citronella plants around your house & having screens on your windows against will work too.
Lot, one of the things I've noticed watching your and Brian's videos is that EVERYBODY, including the dogs, seem to have become happier, peaceful and content. That can only be a good thing.

@@samual3006 That looks like a diabetic ulcer that has become fairly seriously infected. Apparently, the medicated salve is not working; he should go to an oral med like clindamycin which is good for skin infections. One thing that concerned me is when Philly said he couldn't feel the antiseptic the nurse put on his wound which tells me his diabetes is advanced, and Philly has sustained nerve damage. He needs to get serious about battling this very serious disease.
