Soon as we bought one, ordered a 81 clutch cover and a big HS dog, and a 850 muffler. Then gut the air cover of the plastic.before we even ran em Then those saws will run with the 81s and 850s. Like your Chanel. Keep it up...
Most the 10-10 have a pancake muffler also. If you put a 7-10 or PM 700 muffler on them they tend to run cooler and better also. I think with the 82cc saws it was a EPA thing. In my opinion McCulloch's were way ahead of there time, and pretty much set the bench mark. I truly don't think there's a better saw then the King of the woods 125's now or then... keep on buckin Billy. Nothin but love for you and yours...

Oh, and I'm up to 7 saws now from a little over a month ago. This Sunday I'm trading some parts for SIX more. I don't know what they are but he said they're older. My hopes are high like a kid waiting for Christmas. Lol

Hey BUCKIN the area from the cylinder to muffler looks like it need a curve like a car header stop the sonic wave from hitting the bottom and bouncing back into the cylinder and probably flow faster .

I picked up an 800 couple months back and the muffler was actually rusted out underneath the saw from just sitting on the ground outside I think. I’m going to make a muffler from scratch myself.

Hey Buckin', at the 9:25 mark were you talking about the bolt that held the bottom plate to the handle that was "misplaced"? If so, I think it is at the right rear corner of your tool box at the same time stamp. If you go to the 1:28 mark you will see where you laid it on the tailgate of your truck (about where you set your toolbox).
I don't know what I am about to say but when they were making these Mac's the fuel was leaded gas only. So when these things were made did that have some thing to do with how they looked to build them. What would Iron Horse say about leaded fuel. 1969 into 1970 horse power was not a freak of nature to the free man. It was when the unleaded fuel come on the seen when every body first removed the unleaded mods to equipment and then trouble began. What you say ey
Buckin’ I got a quick axe question for ya. I got a Kelly Woodslasher jersey pattern bit coming my way 3 1/2 pounder I think the guy said . Was wondering what size handle I should go with? It’s got the 4 grooves in the eye. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m 6’3” slim build. Not sure that matters but maybe it does. Thought about going 36” curved. But would like pro advice. Yes, that's common average price for one. I have one. Ask if you can pull the muffler off and check the piston and cylinder to make sure it's not scored. Take gloves with you too, they don't have a compression release and are 100 cc"s. If the piston and cylinder are bad, try to get it for as cheap as possible. Find me on Facebook and message me, I know where there's new old stock piston, rings, and cylinder all in a kit.
All of the 82 cc saws are. Super Pro 80, Super Pro 81, Super Pro 81E, Pro Mac 850, Pro Mac 850 Super, Pro Mac 800, Pro Mac 805, Double Eagle 80, and lastly Pro Mac 8200. Plus other big saws and the older CP saws.
if you would care to think about and undewr stand how the muffler works it is designed like a tuned pipe and the gazz on the out side of the top of the muffler is the spark arrester they new and know more than you ever will leave the saw alone and look how you treat the saw on the back of your ytuck the saw deserves better from you or it needs to go to a better home
