i got my 2023 klx 300sm for $5,400 before dealer fees. 2 months later a co worker went to the same dealership and found a used 2021 klx 300 for $3,500. we've both been super happy with the bikes, and its vibe switching between setups! glad to see the msrp has came down! that hopefully means ill see more klx's out and about!
Shejisi makes some great mirrors for the klx 300, its what i have on mine. Rectangular.. foldable.. hooded. Inexpensive and solid. 2k miles on mine so far.
That Army Corpse of Engineers job where they get to ride around on dirt bikes all day long and get paid for it seems like my kinda work.... I hope they don't have the expectation that I would write ticketa or get anyone in trouble, because I couldn't care less who is out there riding. 😂
It amazes me how many people come out of the woodwork just to save $750. Maybe not you but most people in this segment finance and $750 doesn’t amount to a significant monthly savings to “run out the door and buy it”
I'd highly recommend a Pirelli MT-21 on the front as opposed to the Tusk D-Sport. The MT-21 is a much better dirt oriented dual sport (DOT legal) tire for the front. The D-Sport front is a near clone of the Dunlop D606 , which was also sketchy in the dirt. D-Sport rear is a good choice. I am running an MT-21 front and D-Sport rear on both of my dual sport bikes. From 2006-2020, I'd been running the MT-21 and D606 rear on my DRX 400S
I have heard a lot of good things about the Pirelli. I wonder if my Pirelli guy can get one for me. I run nothing but Pirelli SC1 slicks on my race bike.

The MT-21 works for my riding style, so I am reluctant to switch away from it. Prior to my DRZ, I ran the MT-21 front and rear on both of my DR350s, dating back to 1996. The D606 and D-Sport rear have better longevity than the MT-21 rear.
What should be possible is dealer rental bikes so anyone who has a feeling too wanna ride with friends can enjoy bikes too and then drop them off as some people dont have time or want too for dedicating sooo much in a not cheap at all hobby.
You have to stand up when you ride, except for in the corners. That's why you're having a hard time and getting left behind. It's not your age just your technique...or lack thereof. 59 years old 45 of it riding and a lot of in in trails like that here in NC. Practice practice practice my friend. Street bikes are easy 😆
I just noticed your in NC. I was stationed at Bragg back in the day and raced a lot of Motocross in that area. Montrose and Sanford were two of the tracks. They also had Hare scrambles at Sanford. I raced in the Open Class on a CR480 and won quite a few races, both MX and Hare. Meridian Honda of Fayetteville use to sponsor me.
@@388racing9 Thanks, the extra 10hp, 50lbs lighter and better suspension was the deal maker. I wish both bikes came with a 3 gallon tank from the factory. I still love the Klx 300!
That is because it's a turd on wheels. Looks great, but no power. A DRZ400 is gutless too, especially after owning a DR650. But hey man, enjoy it until you get something with some power. Peace!
Well I have owned 2 Kawasaki products in the last few years. As far as I'm concerned. Kawasaki is the lowest common denominator. If it were free, It wouldn't be worth it. Kawasaki products are CRAP!!!!

I think the new Himalayan and CF Ibex put pressure on the market. Lot of value in those machines. Made the KLX look overpriced by comparison.
If kawasaki would make a 400cc klx i would buy one but till then will still be riding my 22 africa twin

Nice bike, almost bought a 2024, but they had a new Husky Fe350s for $8900 and was a no-brainer.
My go fast in the woods days are long over, but that Husky is a killer bike for that price !
