not a boring video at all! Super interesting to hear how you're planning on evolving your business. It makes good sense what you say, I'm a maker and I get so much inspiration from your videos, I'd love to see more of the tutorial & day in the life side.

I think I’m a third category…I enjoy watching you sew (which I want to learn), but I also like turning you on while I work. I have ADHD and your work ethic is inspiring and your voice and demeanor is very soothing. PLUS, your creativity is amazing! Hope this makes sense! Love your channel! Thank you for posting!

I love watching your creativity. I get ideas on how I can incorporate them into things I make. I think it’s great your business is evolving. By making your patterns available you have enabled many more of us to make things also. Good luck with what ever you decide for 2025. 😊

Hi Scarlett. For me I have crafted all my life but find what I really love is anything made with fabric, thread, yarn, floss, buttons and ribbon. I've loved watching you up-cycle fabric into bags and clothing. 100% of my makes are from thrift store purchases. I make fabric shoe bags, book covers, table mats, pillow cases, pin cushions etc. Machine and hand stitched. Right now I'm sewing dolls clothes. I enjoy your spirit and the colours you use. Thanks.

I’m a crafter, seamstress, crocheter, embroiderer and newly learning knitting. I’m 67 years old today and am crocheting while our Thanksgiving turkey roasts in the oven. Love all you do, but also love your discovery phase in life. You’re young and have time to try many things.

I’m a crafter and love what you make Scarlett. We all need to get more balance and you can spend some time doing things that bring in a passive income for you rather than going hell for leather on the sewing side. It should give you more time to do what you want to do rather than what you have to do to pay the bills. Whatever you do I will be watching you next year with pleasure. Xxx

I cross stitch and crochet regularly. I have a full time job and a part time job. I have intended to learn how to sew for years, but haven't bought a machine yet. The last time I sewed a dress was when I was 13. I have also wanted to open my own business but couldn't ever figure out what that would be. I live vicariously through you. Your personality is lovely and you're super talented. You do you! I'll watch no matter what you decide to do! Happy holidays!! 🎅🤶🍷🎄🎁❄☃️

Running a small business is tough and balance is extremely difficult (I know!). I have found your blogs inspiring and joyful, but for you to be able to carry on, you need not to be pulled down by the grind of completing orders, which are also limiting your income potential (you can only make so many garments let month). I am a crafter, so more interested in tutorials and patterns. Would be great to see a wider range of your patterns avaiable, which, once completed would give you a passive income as they will just sell without more effort from yourself. Tutorials and inspirational vlogs would naturally draw people to your website.
With the state of the planet as a result of the garment industry overproduction I think it is exteremly important to have influencers promoting upcycling in a joyous and positive way. You are working in the right direction. Keep.going and be bold x

I think you know already from previous comments I have made here that I am a crafter. I make various stuff from upcycled items from the various thrift stores around here. I resize clothes or turn the items into bags, etc. But sometimes I experiment with other items too to expand the range of what I am doing. I also have a lot of art supplies as well including sketch books, colored pencils, water colors, pen & ink, etc. I do tend to jump around sometimes from one thing to another. Often I like drawing sketches from photos I take and that is another hobby I have: taking photos with my phone. So I guess I am just a very crafty person in general. I also have a few small looms I got at the thrift so I will try those one of these days too. I also want to try darning socks (which looks rather simple as I do love my wool socks) and try that "felting". Oh and now I got this crazy idea of trying to make a stuffed animal out of some stuff from the thrift and stick all of those itty bitty scraps from sewing in there!!
I do find you to be a very great motivator. That is you inspire me. Sometimes I do have other stresses or problems and when that happens I kind of lose interest in sewing but seeing you work on some project certainly brings my enthusiasm back! 😊 i don't know if I mentioned it before but I do have autism (type 1 aka Asperger's) so often life can be a tad difficult.
I have to go to the allergist on Monday. More skin prick testing.

As a fellow small business owner, I absolutely feel you on the "business guilt"! I really found the book "How to Not Always Be Working" by Marlee Grace really helpful, especially for identifying the "grey areas" in my work. I return to it a lot when I'm feeling out of sorts.
As for your comment prompt -- I'm probably the crafter/maker! I have a tea towel I'm collecting fabric to put into one of your designs with, and keeping my fingers crossed for some new dress designs (I'm not a mini dress gal). I'm also hoping to buy one of your tea towel dresses eventually, but I live in Canada so I keep putting it off 😅

I have done everything in my lifetime so it really doesn't matter. I just enjoy watching your videos. I'm all for seeing more videos from you. 😊 and people evolve. sometimes they get tired of sewing and want to do something else and vice versa. People at work look at me like I'm crazy when I get there and sigh and say "oh I'm so glad to be here. I can rest." 😂 I sell on eBay during the day and work a full-time second shift job and I have to say the clock in/clock out is so much easier. I have no choice but to work because health insurance is so ridiculous if you're self-employed in the US. I feel like a slug when I actually sit down and don't work on anything at home . But I have finally gotten into a routine where I refuse to do anything on Sundays. That's it. I don't get off the couch except for food or coffee. I read or watch TV. It's the no work zone.😊

First off I love all your videos you are so genuine and come across as an amazing young lady who loves what she does ...I work in an office part time partially retired and I create nearly every second I'm not sleeping or in office.....I totally get how you feel....I get ideas I want to try but orders come through which takes all of my time ...which obviously is what I want BUT there is never enough hours in the day for work, orders, creating, networking, business side of it etc.....i struggle to get time to do my accounts for TAX etc I am so behind (only on Julys last year for Jans accounting period) so will need to get on with that. My mind is like a whirlwind with ideas I want to do ...but NO time.. need a 72hour day lol

Thank you for the very thoughtful video. I am a crafter and would very much like to see more tutorials please. As with all businesses it is best not to have your main money stream in just one basket. Your creations will always sell because there is a demand. Not everyone wants/is able to make their own unique garment. Patterns would be a steady stream of income which you only have to create the one time and then that particular pattern can just keep earning you money. Enjoy your Christmas and hope you find the balance you are looking for 👍
