@@afrayed_upcycling South Africa only has the labeller at the moment. Maybe the printer will come next year. Looks like a great machine especially for paper piecing which I love. Amongst quilting, crocheting lol trying dress mak8ng again as my granddaughter is 3 1/2 now. So far what I’ve made is a hit. Very encouraging to continue. Hugs to you Scarlet and family
Love your colorful sensibility! As a child, my mother and I handmade most of our gifts geared to the recipient. Those are found memories that I continued handmade gifts into adulthood. You've inspired me to do something with the tea towels my mother left me. Thanks!
Dear Scarlett, your handmade gift ideas are great. It seems that you really found a very personal gift idea for each of your loved ones. I won't be able to make any handmade gifts this year - with everything going on I hardly find any time to sew. :( So I'll keep watching sewing videos and just add ideas and inspo to my never ending to-sew-list :D Thanks for presenting the thermal printer and for showing that the pieces can be ironed. This was the very first thing I worried about after hearing thermal and paper piecing. Theres also a technique with freezer paper where you sew right next to the paper, but not through. This can be used when multiple same motivs are sewn so you only need one pattern that can be reused again and again. xoxo from Germany Stephanie
Well said. I've always felt from a young age that Homemade was more personal - anybody can shop a store for someone, but if you really know the person's heart, their true personality and immensely love them - a handmade gift is always a huge hit! Made especially by you is always better than made in*hina. LOL
Oh, I love making handmade gifts!! We make Christmas napkins as a family and have been every year since about 2010. I sew up a napkin and we write, paint or sew something on it. Thanks for sharing.Your homemade beauties are going to be well received! :)
Yay, your are back and look fantastic - your holiday served you well! I’ve seen a few Munbyn reviews, you my dear are the first to explain how it works and show us the app - thank you, what a terrific teacher you are! I appreciate your unique ideas and tutorials. Well done. ❤
You said you went a bit feral in the fabric store, lol, love it. Best description I've heard for some episodes I've had too. The tea towel wall hanging is gorgeous! Again, lol. Ty for sharing!
The wall hanging is gorgeous. If you added a layer of batting in the middle and the stitched in the ditch it would have been a quilted wall hanging which would have been sturdier. Having said that yours is hard to beat so ignore me ❤
@@afrayed_upcycling I crochet them all beanies. I have 3 daughters and then their boyfriends. Crochet mini teddies that were just too adorable one year. Made them all pj pants last year. Made mug covers to go around mugs I bought for soup. Last year I crochet gnomes with bead work in their hats for Christmas trees - made over 40 of those. Crochet x 3 large stuffed gnome for table decorations. I also made my daughter an appliqué gnome table runner for the table as well as was gnome theme. I made cute jewellery purse tie bags for the girls and my friends. That’s some of the things
So I have collected fabric pieces and tea towels for YEARS that I have had no idea what to do with, but I just liked. Now I have a major project list starting including a dress! These ideas are amazing, thank you, I just need a few more hours in the day please, can you sort that too 😂😂 🙂❤ xx
I am just finishing up the quilted tote bag for my cousin... It took quite awhile to make too! I am just putting the trim on the top. Then it will be finished. No tea towels on this project but lots of different shades of purple fabric, big white buttons and two different types of lettering. She likes saint bernards so one side (in cut out lettering that I had to stitch around all the cut out shapes to show the white fabric underneath the purple fabric) says "I love saint bernards" and the other side - with quilted squares + buttons - has the names of her 2 dogs. I am going to send it to her as a Halloween trick or treat surprise! The handles are made from 3 different colored shades of purple fabric braided together. Big strong bag. And it weighs a LOT. 😂 with all the quilting on it I swear empty the bag must weigh 3 pounds!! 😂😂😂 but its a big tote! She has no idea she is getting this at all. And I got another tea towel yesterday! Bought it online on depop! This one is going to go on my wall. Its cattle.
Idea...Could you put numbers on your tea towel pieces and then I am certain I can start my project. THANKS!!!! (put on the small pix of all the pieces layout pix)
Hope your family doesn't watch this video. I loved to make handmade gifts for birthday or christmas, but most of the time they don't appreciate the time and effort. So i stoped it. The kids still get handmade things

Fab!
If you’re going to do patchwork I think you’ll find it easier with a ruler with inches. Most of the reference material and blocks are in inches. ❤❤❤
Going to order one now!😂🙈
@@afrayed_upcycling home bargains has a really cheap one that’s excellent quality.

Yeahh I think because the border was shorter, it didn’t need batting! Maybe for a bigger one I will!✨
Awesome. I was looking for a portable printer.
It’s amazing!!
Love the wall hanging what a great idea x
THAT IS GORGEOUS 😭 I totally get you wanting to keep it hehe 🥰🥰🥰
