Yeap this is gold. My father in Law speak patua. But his mom made him learn "proper english" so he could go to the USA. Only he and two brothers stayed in Limón, Siquirres. My in Law did not teach patua or english to my wife or her siblings. Very very sad. The language is its final stages in Costa Rica. My father in Law has alzheimer's now and I make him speak patua and récord it on my Phone. It hurts in the Heart how the culture dies.
I'm from limon Costa Rica and my grand parents sound just like him. My mother and aunts talk like that with each other too. Our ancestors come from Jamaica
