I have had my Zontes GK350 since October and it's been excellent! Well built and with no problems at all, premium switch gear and electronics. Excellent stuff - There are too many people criticising Chinese bikes without ever owning one.
I agree with you. If I was in the market for a "cheap" first bike/winter bike, or my first bike. I would rather buy a good second hand (Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha) Japanese bike, than buy any Chinese bike. My question has always been, If you had to replace parts on your Japanese bike, would you buy genuine Japanese parts or replace them with the cheaper Chinese after market parts!? ;-) One thing I would like to add is:- Stay away from the Keeway Superlight 125cc cruiser. I literally watched My friend`s lads bike rust away over 18 months of him owning it. Since then he bought a 2017 Honda Cb125f and that has had no problems and it has no sign of rust.
After having a gap from motorcycles I bought a lexmoto and had nothing but problems with it. Most of it was done under warranty but it was a faff. Now I ride a 2004 cbr125 and so far it's cost me £600 on top of the cost of the bike lmao but the honda is old and had been stood for a long time. Overall I much prefer the honda
Are we really supposed to take the word/opinion from a man who thought he was doing 90mph on a 125cc bike, AND who thought it was funny to do 50mph (or so he thought) in a 30mph zone. Knobhead springs to mind.
It’s a joke, he probably did a double take when he saw the 50 because he couldn’t believe he was going that fast on a 125. I don’t know why people have to hate for everything. Got to make sure to be completely serious on the internet or else the keyboard warriors come out.
Your experiences with chinese bikes in the past was because they were old ones. The new 2021- 2022 chinese bikes like Zontes are essentially bulletproof and even on 125cc you get slipper clutch front and rear abs and lever protectors. Compared to a 125cc kawasaki that dont give you any of that stuff. The chinese are on par with the big four brands. My zontes 125cc has liquid cooled 14.8 hp its pretty fast.
61 and ride a 125 lexmoto scooter which is heavy but reliable and just purchased a Zontes zt125g1 which has high spec and brilliant build quality. Had a Honda that just died one day and wasn't worth repairing. Most Chinese And Japanese engines are made side by side in the same factory!
You are so right. There are so many videos out there singing the praises of Chinese bikes and so few with the opposite opinion. I endured nine years of Chinese monkey bike copies because I live on a narrowboat and that was all I could fit on the boat. They were utterly dreadful, made of Kit Kat wrappers and smartie lids, I spent as much time fixing them as I did riding. Every Chinese bike should come with a dozen free bottles of thread lock. I can’t think of a worse introduction to the world of motorcycling than a Chinese first bike. It’s all well and good having a warranty but it’s the owner that suffers the hassle of his/her bike being off the road, no courtesy bike, waiting for replacement parts that can take weeks. If you are on a budget take the time to hunt down a lower mileage used Japanese bike and your efforts will be rewarded with trouble free riding. I’ve got a 2022 Honda Monkey now and am delighted, I’ve done 200 mile round trips with zero fear of it breaking down. Chinese bikes ? I’d rather saw my legs off and walk on the stumps than have another one of those. Thanks for the time and effort making this video Warren
If Lexmoto don’t contact you and ask you to take your video down, I will be surprised. I have ridden my Lexmoto ZSX-R 125 for 2 years and have had no issues. It’s all about how you look after your bike. Treat it with respect, and it will look after you. Treat it like rubbish and you can expect it to go wrong. Lexmoto reliability has improved in recent years. I would also ask if you have ever ridden one? I guess not!
They couldn't even pay me to take the video down 😂 I've owed 3 Chinese bikes, all of which broke down leaving me on the side of the road within 6 months. 1 of which was new, 2 were 1 year old, all were serviced as per the manual. I personally wouldn't ever buy another Chinese motorcycle ever again after my experience, BUT that's not to say that they haven't gotten better, and from what I've read about Lexmoto, they seem to be the better Chinese brand than the ones I've had. Thanks for your comment 👍
Guess it’s all about experience, and I can see why you wouldn’t want to get them again. I haven’t had issues with mine so far, and fingers crossed I don’t. I think they are a great first bike, but I won’t buy a 2nd one and will go for something a bit more powerful myself. Do enjoy watching your videos, and ride safe.
Mirko74
I paid £4000 for a lexmoto LSN it's literally brand new only done 200 miles and the fuel gauge is saying no fuel, the bike cuts out when I pull up to traffic lights and it doesn't go into gear when you hold the clutch. It's a death trap. I don't want it. Avoid this bike.

I hear good things about Zontes 125cc bikes. I'd be interested in your thoughts as it busts £3k mark, but you seem to get alot for your money...
Yea iv a Zontes you get so much for your money

70mph is the limit you can ride on ANY bike in the UK!

My understanding is that, today, many small Japanese bikes are made in China!
I do believe the ninja is made in Indonesia.

Yeah I hear that all too often around Chinese bikes. Some riders say they have had success with theirs, but I wouldn't take the risk personally. 👍
Most Japanese bikes are made in china. So does that make them rubbish
