Well... a hellcat engine!!!
I got 2 cobras and one is Mustang Shelby GT500 already.
A hellcat motor for my dad's 2010 Charger
1:08:25
Yeah... that's what the last guy said too lol.
Ah, nothing like kicking off my Saturday morning with cartoons, even as an old man
Yes......car tunes are perfect :)
Alex is the perfect example of hard work, and good Ol’ American ingenuity. That’s why I watch with my kids. Thanks Alex! 😎
And he's really good in Bridgerton
Please take off that stupid cheap tint that turns purple!!!😂lol
Omg, I been thinking the same thing lol
He definitely needs to have that removed, and install some fresh tint.
Yes, I hate this tint, really anything other than black. I do love the FACTORY Mercedes tint, such a beautiful metallic blue that lasts forever
Adds 5 horse power.....😮
why ? Its a DODGE
I'm absolutely loving the hellcat series!! A few weeks ago I saw an older gentleman say LSC videos are his "Saturday morning cartoons" and I couldn't agree more! Keep up the great work, man.
The comment after yours lol 😂
The best automotive channel with the best people! Thank you, Max and Alex, for your dedication and hard work! By the way, I can't wait to use the super LSC foam cannon.
The car seat in the back, while doing pulls in "Mexico" is a classic...
Just like Saturday morning cartoons as a kid, I look forward to watching LSC on Saturday morning! 🙌🏼
Thank you LSC!
Best things about Saturday morning. Coffee and cars!
@@sirseriously True!
me too
How dare you reinstall that brace under the cowl without sanding and painting it even though nobody will ever see it 😂
I know. Bro fell off 😂😂😂
As someone that herniated two discs thinking fuck it when the garage had over tightened my wheel bolts and I only had the std 1ft audi bar..... Don't do it man.! Use the engine hoist, or get a hand. If it goes not only will you have to deal with being crippled for a period of time, it'll never be the same again....constantly ache and no more heavy lifting for you ever.
I’m in the same boat and I can’t stress enough just how right you are. I was warned but when you’re 22 you think you’re indestructible. 😢
Yeah I ended up paralyzed from the waist down and had to be rushed into surgery due to cauda equina syndrome . I can walk now nor very far or long but it's better than not at all but I have had to file for disability from it . Still haven't regained most the feeling below the knees and spend every waking day in terrible pain . Definitely take care of your back guys it will completely alter your life if it gets too bad you will end up like me.
Alex so nice to hear you talk normal and say my fault and not saying my bad like everyone else, so good to hear proper English.

45:38 The hellCAT is running PURRRfectly eh??? 😂
The click click click click click click click click click click... is like popping bubble wrap bubbles...
Very satisfying....
Regarding that thermostat being stuck open, another possibility is that some people erroneously put their faith in a myth that if they put in a "cooler' thermostat (one for tropical climates) that the engine will run better and make more horsepower, when in fact, this has a negligible if any effect on horsepower. Instead what happens is that the engine goes into "warm up mode" longer and takes more time to reach operating temperature. Horsepower is a function of many different things, including operational efficiency, frictional losses, air intake volume and temperature, fuel to air ratio, and a whole set of other performance parameters. People need to stop second-guessing factory engineers who have likely already tried stuff like this, and if it actually worked, it would be the default setup in every new car made. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
Depending on the programming, many modern engines run best if kept around 180-185F which is beyond their 'warm up' mapping and allows normal expansion to make everything that moves have their proper clearances. I'd not go below a 180 and if the cooling system is sized well for the application even the 195F thermostat will keep the engine to 200F or so which is fine for longevity and power.
Almost all modern engines have an 'oil cooler' installed which actually works as an oil heater most of the time which is good as the lubricants work best when also at their operating temperatures which lets moisture boil off. So running the coolant too cold also runs the oil too cold which can lead to dilution with fuel and water.
Alex give your mother a huge flower arrangement. She raised a dam good man. God love you and that wonderful family of yours.
The supercharger sounds like Bruce Lee as he's fighting his way through the pagoda in Game Of Death.
Being from Wisconsin I have no idea how anyone can run a business and survive in the arm pit of the nation which is the state of Illinois. You have my respect sir.
Many agree including me in armpit Illinois. At least I'm not in Chiraq tho😂
Chicago is an old but vibrant city. Tons of businesses from trucking to banking. It’s a transportation hub. Big cities are hard to live in without practicing urbanism. Public transportation, walking to work and school, living in a walkable vs car dependent neighbors makes it much nicer.
Yeah when I think of a great place to live, Wisconsin isn’t it. 🙄
Man Chicago gets a bad rap but really it's a dope city imo
Doesn’t Chicago have a greater population then the entire state of Wisconsin.😂
Alex, I am the legitimate previous owner of this car. I can prove it if you wanna reach out to me. The car is definitely not stock as I had several very discreet mods done for it to appear as stock when racing. The first mod I made was having the first 2 layers of white paint removed and then re-clear coated with a special NASA developed and approved clear coat. This saved 2.3 pounds of weight. The second mod was removing and modding the Kanooter valve and have it shaped and ported. The third mod was changing over to racing blinker fluid followed closely by upgraded muffler bearings. The untrained eye cannot spot any of these mods and explains the hidden horsepower you found on the dyno. I spent about $20K making these changes only to have the car stolen from me while having my bunghole hair bleached at a Vietnamese nail salon in the border town of "youvebeentrolled" Texas
5:04 We use a vacuum device for coolant systems. It is absolutely perfect for avoiding any air in the system. Apply a vacuum, hold it, put the coolant supply in under the vacuum. No air.
Love how Max is adding the funny little explanations and clips. 😂 It just keeps getting better. 👍
Ok who's looking for a Hellcat now?
I'd like one but I can't afford one and you have inspired me do good by the lord himself
I will stay with my roush mustang thanks
Nope. No thanks. Love your videos though!
Not me after hoovies 😂😂😂
Hey I’m local, I just inherited a 66 Cutlass with a good story behind it. It would be cool if you compared the 66 to the cutlass you have. I wouldn’t mind a hellcat either lol.
24:00 ohhh Alex! I'm surprised you didn't do the "While I'm in there" polishing of all the ports through that Supercharger! Learned from you, I definitely would have! 😊
The Whipple wagon is one of my favorite on the channel. Badass!
Alex, we’re gunna need to see a race between all the supercharged monsters. E55 vs C63 vs Hellcat. Would be awesome to see the results 😎
saw one of these in Australia, first one ive ever seen and holyyyyyyyy. This channels given me the confidence to rebuild my e39 540i. Legends
Used to have a neighbor with a charger body hellcat and you'd hear him coming from quite a distance lol.
Stellantis.... "They are doing a FINE JOB 🙄!!" 😂😂😂 Car guy Dave Chappelle level joke! Hahahahaha
“They’re doing a fine job” 😂😂😂 my man, the diplomat 😉😎
Alex! I was 35 when suddenly my L5 disk ruptured.....leading down a LIFE CHANGING path. that was 1990. Protect yourself. It's a time bomb inside you you can't read when it's going to explode! Stay safe!😍
I love how your smoking the tires with a baby seat in the back. What American muscle is all about!
alex , Im 46 , 47 on Oct 8th , Ive been turning wrenches on cars since I was 14 , and in a shop since 19.. motorcycles since 11 ( family harley shop) .. I have owned my own shops since 2003 .. had 3 at once and even taught classes for various companies through out the years.. Im saying I might know a thing or 3 .. I did NOT know or have never paid attention to the "bypass port" on the T stat .. that I now will for ever call the bleeder port .. totally make since too.. this is another reason why I keep watching, Im still learning !! ty for mentioning such a small detail ..
Per timestamp 16:04.. A couple of guys running Drag Week this year actually make adapters to Hellcat blower swap LS engines.
They had a CTS-V & 2004-2006 GTO both running Hellcat blowers.
man you made me so nervous pulling those clips and injectors with that wide open lower intake 😂😂
Nobody can survive this. Everytime he says hellcat, take a shot. I doesn’t even have to be a hellcat video since he has gotten this car. Pleeease. Say charger/mopar/anything. After watching these videos I hear hellcat while sleeping. Lol
I think you might be the funniest car TH-camr 😅 been watching I think 7 years now, keep up the great work Alex!
Every time I see your C63 it tempts me to take out of my retirement to put a blower on mine 😂 I won’t do it, but I definitely want to 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love your content , glad you removed the K&N , test and real life dirty MAF sensors prove they are not good filters ( even brand new pre oiled units )

Your videos have inspired me to start looking at auction cars and I just bought my first one. It's a 2006 Mini Cooper S, 1.6lt supercharged, 6 speed steptronic (with paddles on the steering wheel). Looks good, needs a damn good clean and a few minor cosmetic parts, new spark plugs and the low speed thermo fan resistor which will cost about $55 total. I got it for less than 10% of it's current (Australian) book price so I'm pretty darn happy with it.
Hey Alex, love the channel, if you haven't heard of the Z Automotive Tazer yet, it's a very popular mod for Chrysler vehicles like that. It basically allows you to jailbreak the infotainment system and you can control and configure a whole bunch of different features on the vehicle, you could make the car think it's a Jeep if you wanted to. I mention this because Hellcats have those 3 blank buttons on the steering wheel, which is super annoying, and it allows you to add 3 auxiliary buttons in their place for adding Hot Keys essentially, like a line lock hot key for example. Just thought you should know, keep up the great work!
Alex, nothing better than the car seat in the backseat during the after dyno street tests (in mexico) Love it.
The factory thermostat may have been replaced with one that fails OPEN when overheated. When this happens, it will remain stuck OPEN in the failsafe state until replaced. Its very possible the engine heated beyond the failsafe temperature during the radiator fan issue and the questionable past history. Just my $0.02...
I love that car, but you literally can't avoid not flexing that whip on the road. My boy has a fully optioned Hellcat and man that thing is potent!!🔥
best thing about the test drive and all the pulls. the car seat in the back seat lol
Protip: plasma cut steel gets hardened at the edges where they're cut, if you grind off the darker parts first, you'll be able to drill through like butter. Just remember the harder the material, the slower the speed on the drill.
Lol I always get sh*t from my buddy because there’s a couple words I’ve been saying wrong too. Glad I’m not alone.🤣
Put some dam tires on it shit 😂
Big single turbo right on the front blower. New rivet hood and a racing blower. Now can we bore out the engine and re-sleeve it? Maybe some bigger pistons? Modified exhaust performance package and tires. It wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade that transmission and rear axle as well. Leaf spring replacement would be a great idea and maybe start stripping a lot of excess weight as well
So from the title you had a car, that needed work, you fixed it, and it was running great, and now you are taking it apart again?
Great stuff 🤣
In Chicago they love to steal hellcats. Better keep that thing locked up in your shop at all times.
So good. Tempted to pick one up
Do it!!
"Talk to me" lol. Love it
If you ever want to sell the GTR and will send it up to Canada make sure you let me know! Love the videos as well!
That's a nice way Dodge set up that blower and that 10rib factory belt drive cost you $509-1k for Ford Chevy!
The cooling hose NEVER stays where you put it 😂😂😂
Coffee, apple fritter, and LSC. Perfect Saturday morning. Appreciate all the fun content Alex and Max!
You should make LSC coveralls so you don't get all of your nice shirts dirty. Coveralls with the logo on the back and and badge on the front would look good too.
You deserve the best produced show award.
The funniest thing is when the kid seats are in the back. LOL
That is a truly wonderful sounding machine. If driving is all about the sensation it doesn't get but better than that thing. She sounds like a wounded tiger.
Tim Kuniskis might get back to work who knows. Show him your video and tears of joy :)
I’m sorry Alex, I don’t believe that it’s a “factory” Hellcat, it has a tune or something on it, no way does it make that close to rated power AT THE WHEELS without something being done
Still have power outages from hurricane but thanks to my jump box I can continue watching my favorite car videos....
Sooo many puns and shimmy shams I can't even keep track hahaha 😅😂
Alex you got a booger in your nose at 45:40 lol that's awsome !!
When that modded Hellcat roars, angels cover their ears and demons take notes. 🔥😈
Polish or sand that velocity stack curl smooth. Modify some filter material like cheesecloth to fit recessed inside securely-some “ears” bent to hold onto the curve. Air filter. Child car seat def good for an extra ten hp. Velocity stacks? McLaren Can-Am from back in the day-organ pipes. Cool video.
Durango hellcat is being searched right now! 😂 and man, the Satera guy is like a brain surgeon for cars
11:29 that’s the problem with push to start, they don’t stop when you want. You can jump in, tap it twice and it will start up for you, no need to hold it
22:12, yes, Alex clicks are better 😂
1:04
Yeah, that summed it up XD
when i replaced my blower with a used one that came with 2.72 pulley i asked a shop to put the stock one back on for me. when they were done i was like where is the shim? they were like what shim? the shim i told you to retrieve. i made them take it back apart and get that shim out. they wanted to leave it in there on stock pulley.
You make my weekends better and I’m so inspired by you and I wanna do what you do!
Glad to see no injector clips made its way into the intake! 😂
39:16 you shouldn’t need a puller, just push down on the flex joint of the wiper a bunch of times, that usually works
Hi Alex I'm watching your channel all the way from sunny South Africa! I love your channel and best of luck witj that very heavy supercharger! Nick Ras!
thats a good video idea for the future. racing the fastest cars together. or getting the draggy times and compare
I installed an afe closed intake cold air intake on my hyundai kona 1.6t, the quality of their parts are awesome! Definitely felt a difference and sounded awesome lol
That poor Ford Lighting in the back ground but Hey the Hellcat coming right along good video
😂 Speaking of Emissions testing (which my county in TN got rid 👍🏼). 😂 I use to have to disconnect the battery to clear the dash, dump 2 bottles of rubbing alcohol in the tank and by the time I’d get to the facility my old Oldsmobile would pass every time 😂. 🤷🏻 I was broke and bought it for $200 at a junkyard. 😂 Got 3 years out of it and sold it for $500.
I look forward to every Saturday morning watching Legit street cars. Very informative and just plain fun.
Really enjoyed this series , what a performance bargain these are
Alex, your car also seems to have very budget tint,, which can block wireless signals. If you just take it off, or replace it with ceramic, at least your phone will work.
What a beautiful location for the thermostat!
Putting that housing on with a gun was wild work, risk taker I see lol
dudes on Instagram already made a conversion kit to use the hellcat blower on a LS..pretty cool idea.
Major score, Alex. This car is simply amazing for the money.
Noooooo........Heading to Arizona that weekend for the Bears game. Hope to catch the next meet.
Just in time
We used to replace the thermostat to lower the engine's running temperature ( Like in Florida) and it was not for more power. Never heard that running a lower temp thermostat gave you more power!
Best "VIOLIN" sounds ever!
“I’ve never seen one that big “ ayoooooooo😂
I read somewhere that you can slide a small piece of plastic between the VIN and the windshield to make it unreadable. Might be worth taking a look at it.
That's a 2017, 18 or 19 BMW M550ix during the Carly advertisement.
I've got a 2020 sitting in my Garage.
Love it man! Ive got a 2018 Hellcat Charger. The best family car for normal people. I need a LSC catch can!
Love the baby seat at the back 😂
Carly is a subscription based diagnostic.
It's free, for the basic version. You have to pay to access everything.
If u listen thats exactly what he says😂
I’m Sick with Covid watching my favorite TH-cam channel.
You can hire that troll to help around the shop 😂
Peeing after 3 beers is more satisfying than torque wrench clicks 😎
IGLA!!.. Might i suggest igla... This way, the car stays where you last parked it in 1 piece and not at a chop shop in 50 or 60 pieces. Just ask Tom Bailey who thought his 2 vehicles were safe in his driveway....
