    Yesterday I suffered through the worst virus infection of my life (possibly covid??); super high fever, headache, and terrible pain in joints and muscles. Finally I thought I'd see if Dr. Berg had any good advice and I found this video. Immediately got into a hot bath and within a minute ALL the muscle pain disappeared, headache decreased by 80% and my fever lowered within an hour. Today I feel almost back to normal minus a very slight cold, which I've been keeping at bay with the ACV drink.
    This guy's advice is super solid and though his critics say he's "not a real doctor", I couldn't care less about titles. All that matters is results, and everything I've tried from him so far has nothing but improved my health. Thank you Dr. Berg!

      I am going through the same thing. Doctor said I was negative on all tests. Said it is a viral infection they have no idea wich one. My pain in the legs hurt so much. I felt better when I covered myself and remained warm. Now I have scratchy throat and boogers.

      I have cholinergic urticaria with anaphylaxis a fever would put me straight into shock. Please be careful and realize there are exceptions. I've seen wayyyy too many "doctors" who treat everybody the same when we are all different.

    • @whiggygirl
      @whiggygirl 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@RedRedux I also have Cholinergic Urticaria. It doesn't put me into shock though when I get a fever. Funnily enough, I don't break out in hives when my temp goes up past 37.5c, but my normal body temp runs at 35.6c so what looks like a fairly low grade fever to medics etc, results in me with rigors and being ridiculously unwell. My temp was 38.7c two weeks ago as I have Covid-19

      @@whiggygirl oh wow I hope you are recovering ok. I'm on 4 times the daily dose of rupatadine and quercetin at the moment and had atypical pneumonia in January I'm wondering now if the rupatadine didn't save my life. Some interesting studies on it for the treatment of vascular leak in dengue fever. I'm a 35.8 normally for temp and I take Tylenol the minute it gets to 36.5 and go to the ER usually for antibiotics (kidney infections is how I found out the fever induces anaphylactic shock). There's no amount of fever that's going to resolve a pyleonephritis 🤷

    Mother would wrap us up in a wool army blanket and sweat the fever out of us. The only thing we consumed during this period was room temperature water. Lots of it! An ice pack was always at the ready, if our foreheads felt too hot. She treated all our childhood illnesses with all natural remedies she had learned as a child from her mother and grand-mother. ☺️

    Had CV back in January when it was raging through Florida, weeks before the media taught us what to call it. Had fever for nearly 3 weeks and there's No doubt I've never been so sick. Fever, and extreme fatigue, were the overwhelming symptoms. Never went to a doctor because, well, why? I knew there was nothing they could do for me. I started to gain the upper hand when I started taking very hot baths with 5 to 7 drops each of Peppermint, Frankincense and Lavender oils. I bet I took 25 baths like that in 3 weeks. The baths would break the fever but, more importantly, because of the oils, they became an expectorant for all the garbage in my lungs. My wife got it a few weeks after i did, but we started her on oregano oil immediately. She got about 70 percent of what I had because of that and the oregano oil seemed to instantly halt the worsening of symptoms. She recovered much quicker. I will also add that we are both IFers, have been for nearly 3 years. I think this made a huge difference in our bodies ability to fight and recover. Now, however, I'm actually GLAD I had the virus. Why? Because that incessant fever literally cooked off every bad thing in my body, I believe. I actually feel better and stronger now than before, and I was super healthy before. Somehow, I feel purged by the fire of the fever. Thx Dr. Berg for all you do. Love your products and your videos. If only we could put you in charge of all this madness, I think the country would be all better in a few weeks. I also think many, many people have ALREADY had it. Florida was a sick state from late December to March. Its already been through here and we all know it!!

      I am just recovering from it too and had exactly the symptoms you describe. I tested positive nine days later too. The exhaustion is horrific isn't it. I’m from Florida as well and I got the “flu” back in January. I have never been so sick like I was back in January, it felt like I was dying a thousand deaths every night. I couldn’t move out of bed and I basically quarantined myself in my own room. When I went to the doctor, they told me that it was Influenza Type A and Influenza Type A is quite contagious. I still believe it was Influenza that I caught but it makes me wonder what if I caught that flu 2 months later, would they still tell me it was Influenza or would they just tell me I had COviD-19. Makes me a bit thankful I caught the flu right before things went to hell.

    Dr.Berg you're a genius.
    I had a fever which kept on increasing. Initially, it was 100.4°F, then after an hour it shot to 102.3°F and the max it reached was 103.5°F. I did nothing to reduce it and it automatically reduced to 100.1°F after 4-5 hours. Now I'm completely fine. Fever is indeed the best defence mechanism our bodies have. We shouldn't suppress it. Thank you so much.

When we got a fever/aches, etc. we took a tonic of old crow liquor infused with peppermint hard rock candy and lemon juice. Then we went to bed and covered up to "sweat it out" and usually the next day, the fever had broken and we were on the mend!

      I had a fever of a 107 when I was 12 years old. I was sick for my birthday and was sick over a week. My mom kept going to work. I was too weak to open the medicine to take for a fever, which was probably a good thing since it was aspirin.

      Lucca Santos Quite the contrary, even from a young age I always loved vegetables and I never liked sweets and candies. I had one birthday cake in my life and I thought it was gross so I’ve never had one since. I get sick once every 8-10 years but when I do I’m usually pretty jacked up for a week or so, probably because the Cooties had it out for me and finally got me lol.

    That's why I never take paracetamol, one time my fever was so high and was so hot that I thought I couldn't hold long - then I perspire soo much that there after...my fever was gone and I felt well at other times I used the traditional way of steaming were I boil water and put 3 tbspn of salt on casserole and cover myself with the blanket along inside the boiling water exposing myself inside the blanketed heat and works well even with flu and cough ...thanks for this Dr.Berg.

    agreed about letting the fever run its course - HOWEVER, when it starts to interfere with sleep for days on end, there is a point to keeping it in check.
    Also, drugs like Ibuprofen reduce fever and with these its good to take no more than 1 per day, as if the fever comes back, its not quite done yet.

How to reduce your temperature quickly without resorting to medicine? How do I raise your immunity? I hope to answer my question and thanks

    according to what Dr, pollack have discovered about the Gel type/state of the water ()in his book the forth phase of water) when ever the body temperature rises it makes this gel type fluid to become more fluid, thus helping in the action of removing inflamation and mucus. this goes in line with your statements of how good fevers are for the body

  • @Flowmada
    @Flowmada 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I get sick. I just let the fever go on. Been doing this since my mom stopped forcing tylenol/ibuprofen down my throat as a kid.
    If it's over 105 for more than 24 hours and isn't breaking on its own periodically, then I consider taking medications as it's an inflammatory response to your body fighting and must be controlled to prevent damage to the body.
    Some of my worst sicknesses though - I've had over 105 fevers and get into a steaming hot shower/bath for 10-15 min cause it's the only way to feel somewhat warm. I get out light headed, feel like collapsing/passing out, and then I fall asleep shortly after only to wake up feeling much better most of the time. I'm pretty sure I'm pushing my body into pretty dangerous temperatures when I do this and it isn't entirely safe for everyone. But, I believe that short exposure to extreme temperatures shouldn't cause damage. It's the equivalent to wearing winter gear in death valley for 10/15 min and then taking it off so your body can cool itself with all the sweat.
    Though I am curious as to whether a study exists that shows whether the body's homeostasis core temp of 98 degrees remains the same with a fever since it's an immune response. Is it actually something different when you have a fever? Does getting in a hot bath/shower actually help your fever stay elevated to fight the infection vs making your body work significantly harder to protect itself and maintain 98 degrees?
    That said - staying hydrated so your body can self-regulate temperature and maintain electrolytes/fluids is a must if you were going to do this. If you're already malnourished or extremely dehydrated, don't even think about bout jumping into a hot shower/bath - Your may dehydrate yourself further or your body may not be able to regulate temperature once you get out of the bath/shower.

    You’re a fortune teller, I literally just googled fever, I’m feeling hot right now but my temperature is only 37c
    Edit: should I increase zinc intake? I take multivitamins with 10mg zinc included daily but I have 20mg zinc sulfate just in case

    • @Flowmada
      @Flowmada 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're a male, you should probably aim for around 20mg daily. Add 5-10mg if you are sweating a lot (physical labor, working out, fever) as zinc is lost in perspiration. 40mg is the upper limit. Hitting 40mg every day though is not recommended and you're probably getting more from different whole food sources than you realize. More zinc is not better. It won't significantly increase your testosterone and prolonged elevated levels can cause diarrhea and other side effects. Stick to around 20mg.
