Best thing about Arcus runs is I can watch with my 4 year old and not have to worry about him spewing profanity every 5 seconds. My son lives original Nintendo games now thanks in part to these.

Great speedrun, as usual. I sooo wish they'd do an actual sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2. Not SMB 3, or anything else that came after, but another Super Mario Bros. game with THIS style of gameplay, enemies, settings, etc. Like, SMB 2 2. :D

i beat all levels of this game relatively recently(the last few years have been a blur, so i cant pinpoint exactly when). of course it wasnt a speedrun. i did it organically. i had beaten the game as a kid, but taking shortcuts. recently i also did smb, and smb3 too, playing every single level......it was fun.
I like your runs. Mostly legit, meaning LOTS of practice and skill with only a handful of glitches. Too many runs are done with over half of it being some cheat or glitch. Points to those who found them because MANY are super hard to find ... let alone do them, but those runs feel a bit "shady" to me. With regards to this game, it always struck me as weird. Especially when I found it was a dream DECADES LATER!! 🤣🤣🤣 KEEP GOING!!!!
What I love about Arcus Speedrunning is he doesn't reset with every imperfection. Its always entertaining to see a game played through to the end.

This is the single most nostalgic game from my childhood. I was under 10 and couldn't ever beat the game, but played it for hours in the 80s.
