- This is a first look at the new dual laser setup from xTool. This xTool F1 Beta has a 2w IR & 10w diode laser all in this small and portable machine. This is also a very fast laser engraver due to the galvo laser system.

The keychain was pretty cool for 4 minutes, how thick was the acrylic?
15 minutes for the slate tile...are you sure? Did you use the diode or IR?
Would love to see you do a tumbler and time it, both with the diode and IR.
Acrylic is 3 mm stick or 1/8 in. As for the slate tile it took longer because I was using fill and not outline so it had those thicker looking lines with high detail I can speed it up by having less lines per centimeter or just switching it to outline mode. Also on the slate I was using the IR laser.
I don't have any tumblers on hand but if I get some at some point I'll make some short videos showing those with all the times and settings as well.

This was the exact comparison I was looking for - thank you! I already have the M1 and need something that is more efficient for engraving onto metal. Since I already have the Xtool rotary attachment, I was leaning toward getting the F1 vs. LaserPecker 3. Any reason to reconsider? Also, with the F1, how do you appropriately size and place the artwork for engraving? With the M1, since it has the camera, it's obviously pretty easy, but I'm curious what the process is with the F1.
You can have the laser outline the design so you really don't need a camera to get things aligned
Quick question. You said you used the IR laser on the slate and it took 15 minutes? On the Xtool site, it says a slate engrave took 65 seconds and their chart shows that slate falls under the diode laser category. Have you tried slate with the diode? 15 minutes seems pretty long for that engrave.
I was just going off some settings that came with the laser. It said that it could be done with either laser so I was just trying the ir setting that it suggested.
I've seen a video showing the F1 being used as a portable laser too. Does it have a rechargeable battery?

This seems to be the perfect match for my small business, thank you very much for this recommendation 🎉 I am kinda afraid if it can engrave very intricate stamps (texture mat). Are you planning on doing a video about that with this laser? That would be so darn awesome! They have a sale that lasts for three more days and i am on the edge of spending my whole saving for this laser 😅😅
Sadly not in that time frame but you can get some crazy details using this laser. Let me know if you end up getting it and what you think of you do

Yeah I know that there is a LaserPacker 4 available now but I don't have one to compare it to the F1.

I'm working on a video right now about a different fiber laser that is 10x as powerful that is around the same price point with a larger work area. Keep an eye out for that video because it's coming out soon.
