Not the only way, but it helps. The mass active avoidance is much stronger than you might think, and in the long run - it deflates the effort to take you into Putin's dream.

After that he received a summons to the army, he went to the gypsy in a rage and beat him for an incorrect prediction
For this he was arrested and not sent to the army, the prediction came true 😂

I'm russian and this is pretty accurate. And also - you get less time in prison if you just punch the army guy in the face then try to run from him.

My favorite aspect of this sketch is Foil's dead eyes, especially because he can turn them off to say "Oh? You're a spy?" only to immediately die inside again by the next "We take them."
I was going to comment on the same thing. His stare actually creeped me out a bit 😅

I don't like saying this, but it actually makes sense not to draft people who are in close relationship with people in power.
During WWII, Stalin managed to capture two of Hitler's nephews. He had them tortured, and tried to pressure them for information. The Germans also managed to capture Stalin's son, and Stalin was furious over this.
So given the fact that close relations to men in power can make you more at risk of torture and be used for blackmail, it makes sense not to send such people to the front lines.
That being said, there are also good reasons to specifically send the sons of men in power to the front lines. Since it can be used to show the people that their leaders take the same risk as everybody else. But I don't think Russians would feel that way.
@@Tjalve70 Or it might force the people in power to consider the cost of the war they are forcing other people's children to fight. I think my reason trumps the high value hostage reason.

I am sitting here now, reading books. I remember how 8 years ago, on a peace march with Ukraine (the beginning of the confrontation, the murder of Boris Nemtsov), a policeman approached us and began to pull out the flag, mistaking it for the flag of the Right Sector ( these are the Nazis with whom everyone was scared in 2014 on TV in Russia, then they began to scare Azov, another great propaganda), I had to explain to him that the anarchists (on our flag) have black and red are located differently. Reminds me of the last scene.
Knowing several guys who flee or hide from mobilization, I laugh anyway, despite of how chilling it is. Thank you, for there is no hatred in your sketches.
I am going to show this to my Aussie Russian mate tomorrow. Crazy times.

Sometimes one must laugh to keep from crying. They like most in the West know that not all Russians support the war, sadly many do, but many from the beginning were against it. Every Dictator terrorized and brutalized their own people before doing that to others, and for all Russians that do not support Putin or his horrific twisted war but are under his oppression our hearts go out to you. Hopefully you all can find a way out from under his boot. Remember there are always more people that get oppressed than are the oppressor, when the oppressed work together they can get rid of the oppressors.

I am Russian and I understand that this is a comedy, but here is my real event: once I talked with the draft crew myself. I have some health issues, so when those guys came to me, I asked if I be able to collect my doctor`s papers first. They answered:
- We will leave (''the summons to the army order''? I don`t know the proper word in English, but I think you got me right) - on your door as if we did not find you at home. Take as much time as you need to collect your papers. But it might be better, if you come by yourself and say you are a volunteer - volunteers have a better conditions.
And yes, both of them were dressed as civilians. That is my experience. As you may see, I am still at home and literally nobody whom I know (except one professional soldier, who is on duty anyway) was drafted to the army.

Nearly everyone I know has people in the military now. Friends fathers, brothers, cousins, coworkers etc etc
This might actually be my favorite FA&H sketch...Arms is just so stoically subtle and Hog and Foil seem to relish taking each other's normal place and the subject is beyond hilarious. This must be me 10th time watching it so far...I wonder how many times I will end up coming back in my lifetime. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada🍁
Arms's unchanging expression over Foil's shoulder is just the cherry on top. Also, good choice of place to film - that yellowy wallpaper does evoke quite the apartment bloc nostalgia.

на самом деле всё на много проще: самое простое это избегать ситуаций в которых могут вручить повестку, то есть не открывать дверь кому попало и даже к ней не подходить, если это кто то из родственников, друзей, или знакомых, то на телефон позвонят, так же предупредить тех с кем живёте, чтоб не делали этого. Так же когда звонят с не знакомого номера на телефон, не нужно отвечать. Если на улице кто то пытается вручиать, нужно обходить их стороной, если уже остановили, то требовать показать удостоверение сотрудника военкомата, а так же приказ о мобилизации с печатью и подписью президента, если этого нет, утверждать, что они не имеют законного права вручать повестки, если там действительно сотрудник военкомата, можно предложить договориться, вероятно они за некоторую сумму сделают вид что вас не видели, если уже в военкомат силой привезли, то ссылаться на 59 статью Конституции пункт 3 и требовать замены военской службы на альтернативную, так как верующий и самая главная заповедь не убивать, кроме того вообще не можешь убивать людей по личным убеждениям, кроме того жаловаться на здоровье, отсутствие физической подготовки итд, так же говорить что путин - бандит и террорист, который организовал взрывы жилых домов в 1999 году и пособником этого террориста становиться в планах нет. Если всё совсем плохо что уже ничего не помогает, можно сломать себе ногу или руку. Если уже на фронте, то лучше сдаться и просить не выдавать на обмен, а оформить как беженца...

There was an actual Russian sketch on TV in mid 90's about 2 recruits thinking of ways to fail medical. Towards the end, they decide to break eachother's bones. And after they do it, the punchline, is that recruitment ends, and the bus is asked to take all the remaining candidates back home. And then then there's a twist ending, where the bus driver is told to take everyone to the front lines anyway. Like a longer version of this video.
seriously everyone is fun, but Foil is a fucking professional actor, in all the sketches he plays the parts perfectly. i love him
