Pam was decent, aside from her whole homophobia era, she was pretty good to Emily. Ella was kinda always going though it, and I forgot Spencer’s moms name, but Mrs. Hastings was always usually involved just not on Spencer’s behalf?? Yk what I mean??
Did she though? My first thought instantly was yea, she was obviously better than other parents but after thinking about it for a few minutes, she doesn't really care about raising Hanna as much as she wants her to be her friend. But she was one of the best moms at times especially when it came to Caleb and certain things but idk, maybe it's because of the divorce or because of Alison's disappearance, she let a lot of things slide when it came to Hanna which resulted in her being spoilt. The only reason Hanna grew and matured in the later seasons was not because of her mom's parenting but because of the trauma and all the intense shit she went through.
I’m watching it again with my girlfriend. It’s her first time. Personally, the parents are pretty decent. Aside from Spencer’s dad. Like Aria’s parents are pretty good. Byron does a fucked up thing but he does become a better dad. And obviously they don’t want her in a relationship with a 26 years old. Hannah’s mom was the best. Always there for her daughter. Hannah’s Dad sucked though. But he ain’t around much. Emily’s parents were awesome. At first they weren’t accepting of her being gay. But they eventually came around. Especially Pam. And Spencer’s mom is pretty good. I mean she literally raises Spencer as her own daughter despite knowing she isn’t. The dad. He is the worst. Sorry Nolan. And we’re just not going to talk about Ali’s parents because…
ashley and wayne are the best parents and that's that honestly. my only advice setup wise would maybe be widening the camera a bit if possible and potentially standing more to the side of the projector screen? if there's not enough space ofc then the setup is fine the way it is, aha.
Ashley is also my favourite parent! I see a lot of her traits in my own mum, so perhaps that's why. Btw it's really great to see you speak so confidently and being so funny. Idk I just think you're doing great! 😊
@@stephanieg7674 her dad is definitely the worst imo. he’s never around only comes to town when hanna is in trouble, took kate’s side with the wedding shit and didnt listen to hanna, didnt pay for her college cause he didnt think she wanted to but paid for kates. then its peter, aria’s dad then ali’s dad
She did it to protect Hanna due to Hanna’s mistakes. She didn’t know that he had crossed the lines multiple times Hanna never told her.but when she saw for herself he was out of there right away
I agree with almost all of this...but just for accuracy, Ashley and Jason shared more than a kiss that night. And she did come clean to Ted about it. Not saying anything against Ashley, she's by far my favorite parent on the show.
I truly only remember Hanna’s mom being the only attentive mother who did what she needed to do to protect her child.

Ashley always came from a place of compassion but also level-headedness and firmness. I think all moms should strive to be her 🥲

Aria & Mike are only two years part so the way Ella & Byron adultified Aria is really weird. They’re in the same age group.

Appreciate the work you put into this. Thank you for keeping PLL alive. You deserve way more subscribers. ❤
appreciate you
They had to balance Hanna by giving her both the best and the worst parent in the show
honestly her dad isn’t completely the worst dad in the show which says a lot
The worst is jessica & Peter

I just hate how Hanna’s mom slept with that messed up detective/cop guy in season 1. He was bad to Hanna
She did it to protect Hanna due to Hanna’s mistakes. She didn’t know that he had crossed the lines multiple times Hanna never told her.but when she saw for herself he was out of there right away
I’m so ready for this deep dive
