My rarest Platinum (a 0.5%) was an absolute slog to get through. I had been attempting it off and on since 2011, with my last big attempt somewhere around 2014. Three months ago, though, I sat down and finally said, "I'm gonna do it." That 71% completion would not taunt me anymore...I had the drive, and I had the time (given I became unemployed at the time and was waiting on potential employers to call for a job interview). I pretty much played for a straight week to collect the rest of the trophies, the stragglers that were too tough and time-consuming for me in the past. Little by little, though, they popped. That percentage kept climbing... Until finally, FINALLY, that beautiful PS3 _PING_ sounded and it was music to my ears. Yes, I finally achieved the "Master of Simology" Platinum of The Sims 3. *STOP LAUGHING!!* I'm so damn proud of it, ya'll don't even know! This was nearly 8 years in the making and I deserve it!
I don't even touch online trophies. I can do any grind or hard boss in Dark Souls - kind of trophy, and i love doing those. But multiplayer? Nope. Not gonna deal with that :D
The hardest trophy i my experience is 'personal decorator' from black ops 3. It was single player, but it was such a hell to complete because it was a big grind. It was kinda a nine part trophy, which required you te get every single camo for every single weapon by getting 650 kills with all weapons, finish the campaign on veteran difficulty ( 2 shots and you died), finish it on realistic difficulty (1 shot and you died), get 2000 kills total, finish training on realistic ( 16 waves of enemies, once again one hit and you die) , get every single collectable, get every single objective ( sertain things to do in a mission, like dont get hit or kills so much enemies), get all upgrades for your character and finish every mission on veteran difficulty without dying once ( 2 shots killed). I myself haven't got it yet, and for anyone who is going to try this one, you need a lot of skill and time to ever complete this
What I like about trophies is that they make gaming an exciting challenge and it's a rewarding experience to get difficult ones after weeks of practicing. My first play is really just to enjoy the game, the storyline and quality of the graphics. My re-plays aimed at Platinum is when I go after trophies and they really expand the breadth of your experience with the game. It's very exciting. I only have 11 Platinums. Technically, I'm looking at 18 as I've spent the last 4 months clearing online trophies for 7 games. I'm left with 4 games to clear online content before I can do all offline achievements. I agree with the sentiment in this comment section that they should just leave online trophies for DLCs.
It's funny that everyone says how difficult it is to get these rocks, and I got all upgrade rocks I needed in less than 8 hours. The rarest one (the one you're talking about), took me about 3 hours to get (I don't remember how many you need, but this is the time I took to get all of them).

Honestly, no Trophy support can be a deal breaker for me. I'm not always striving for 100% because of limited free time but I just love doing some extreme stuff and earn a digital trophy(literally) as a reward/proof.
Mine for me, Rainbow Six Siege. More specifically the two terrorist hunt specific trophies "defender" for winning 100 games on a defending objective type and "Terro Hunter" for getting 2500 kills in the mode. The only reason I am proud of this is because both were a ridiculous grind in the first place, as I was repeatedly getting 36 kills per game in a time span of 5-7 minutes per game on the laundry objective of House. The kicker was that BOTH glitched on me, and ubisoft supports only answer was "keep playing and they might pop, they might not". I *stupidly* kept at it and the next week, received the platinum at 4600+ kills, 2750 of which was with doc alone, and 110 successful defend rounds. These two trophies would have normally taken 30-40 hours, without glitching.
Took me 3,500 kills for it to pop for me. And 227 Defend matches to unlock that one. Only 300 hours and playing Protect Hostage. I became the hostage...
I’ve played the game since beta and Defender is definitely the most difficult. Defend hostage T-Hunt games are so bland and they take so long, you have to motivate yourself to play it. I’ve only gotten 20 done in my 4 years playing it.
After more than a decade of gaming on Playstation, the Hard to the Core trophy from Dead Space 2 is still the one I am most proud of. You have to beat the game on Hard Core mode, which only lets you save the game 3 times manually in the entire 10 - 15 hour campaign. Enemies are tough, ammo is scarce, and there are plenty of things that can kill you in one hit, including quick time events. Even now, only 1.7% of players have unlocked it since the game has been out for more than a decade. It is by far, one of my proudest moments in gaming.
GTA4 was my first platinum. Did AWP legit over a years time when there were actual leaderboards and trophy didn’t pop. Boosted a straight 14 hour game session for it to finally pop.
Technically speaking, Max Payne 3's platinum took me two years to get. I tried to achieve "The shadows rushed me" trophy many, many times. Gave up on it somewhat, although I did try it some times in 2017. I finally got it in January 2018, best feeling of my life :]
The longest trophy i did was from one piece pirate warriors 3, i had to complete the gallery 100% and to fully complete the gallery you have to lvl all characters (about 35 i think) to lvl 5 wich took me around 100 hours.
Ughh that brings bad memories i remember skipping school to grind it i was like 2 characters away from the platinum till my little brother overwrote my save with a new one :(
@@naifalqhtani5285 I feel your pain my friend, I was 400+ hours into platinuming a different game only for the game it self to overwrite the save and my backup at the same time, I literally mean it the actual game desided to delete my 400+ hours and replace it with a new game file, I was so damn pissed

Demon's souls has to be the longest platinum grind i have ever had, in the entirety of my ps3 career i knew nothing of online guides or boosting, didn't have a bluetooth to talk to anyone & didn't have many friends outside of fighting, driving & shooting games. This one had a ridiculous learning experience, there was nothing that told you where to go or what to do, there were subtle hints at secret areas left by ethereal messages on the floor (didn't know they were from other players or that the game was even co-op), who to talk to & who to kill, how world tendency works, nothing. Without a guide, you don't legitimately learn about world tendency nor how to change it until your second playthrough, when your soul (you before you beat the game) inhabits one of the "dead" children at the top of the nexus, they only say one or two words (black, white, pure black, pure white or untainted). This directly affects the paths the player is able to take, the enemies you will be able to fight even the materials you're able to collect. Getting pure bladestone, the rings & the spells quickly became the bane of my existence as previously, it took multiple playthroughs to manipulate the world to how you wanted it to be. It took me until they changed the settings in an update to make it a single playthrough & the nexus girl fully explains world tendency to the player & how to manipulate it as well as how it affects you & the people in the nexus
Dam, that's crazy I didn't like the evil within that much, it was difficult only for the sake of it. But the evil within 2 is one of my favorite games this generation, but I haven't attempt to get the "you asked for it again" is one of the only two trophies I'm missing
I got those easy, Love those games, was not hard for me since I loved the game so much that i enjoyed playing it. I do recall the Dead Space 2 trophy where you can only save 3 times through out the game, oh boy lol
I’m glad you mentioned Plants vs. Zombies - I have it for PS3. Although there’s no plat I’m only one trophy away from 100%, it’s sitting at 90 right now. It’s the ‘Alive and Planting’ trophy where you have to survive 40 waves on Endless. And it’s an absolute pain in the ass. Before today my record was 34 waves - tried twice today and got as far as 38 and 37 waves respectively. I’m still deciding if I want to try again soon or take another extended break.
For me, Twisted Metal on PS3. The online trophies were glitched so you had to be HOSTING every lobby - if you ever joined another player’s game, you needed to uninstall & start from scratch. The worst bit was that dev David Jaffa said Sony claimed the trophies weren’t glitched. Urgh.
As someone who also earned this Platinum just last week; I'm right there with you. This game, as much I now love it, has broken me.. I might be retiring from trophy hunting after this unbelievably tedious grind. I think I spent 30+ hours alone going for "All Sales Are Final". I've told tales of my frustration, boredom, and ridiculousness of using 3 PS3's to boost this game to my friends and Fiancee. They asked "Why? No one cares. It means nothing. I can tell you hate this now" And my only reply is "I know.. But I've come this far, if I get it, at least I'll have something to show for it." Well I got it. But at what cost? I hardly even feel like it's an accomplishment.
@@memorycardgaming1148 im proud of you man! what's the point in seeing the negative side of it? sure it was pretty pointless, but you still had the dedication and patience to do it anyways.try seeing it that way!
Crash bandicoot n sane trilogy High Road platinum. Never again. That level broke me, a few knuckles and a wall. And probably didn't do my vocal cords much good haha. But I did it. Didn't finish the second game much less start the third, I couldn't bring myself to do it haha
@TheGhost I don't really consider myself a trophy hunter, I collect trophies and I do start to go out of my way to do it, but a lot of the games I do platinum I get so far then decide yeah I have to platinum it. I didn't even want to try titanfall 2, I've seen some of the trophies and they look so difficult. But I would say if you platinumed uncharted 4 then you can definitely platinum uncharted lost legacy, it is easier and quicker (from what I found anyway) however the collection is a real pain to do, the only one I haven't done is the first game because I am quite frankly a bit of a shit gamer, the 2nd and 3rd game are still harder than the 4th, but they are easier than the first game.
@@victorgz2907 That is like saying if I did uncharted 1 I could do uncharted 2 and 3, because yes they are definitely easier, however the problem is although they're easier my aggression doesn't take as much before revealing itself haha. So if I get stuck on a specific part for a few days trying it again and again, then I will lose my shit. So I just tarnish the entire series with the same brush because of how one game made me feel due to its infuriating difficulty.
The relic trophies in the Crash games made me rage! I'll get gold and I would just take it. I'm just trying to get the trophy, not worrying about getting the best time. Happy to say that I ended up getting the Platinum for all 3 games.
Mine was more time taking than difficult, it’s the platinum of Skyrim That took me many hundreds of hours, Rage fact : I had all of the trophies except one to get the platinum, this trophy was : “Oblivion Walker” that requires you to collect 15 deadric artefacts but some of the quest can give you two artifacts instead of one but only one of them counts for the trophy, so I messed up and had to launch the game with a new character, that was raging but I was happy playing more Skyrim :)
Haha I did the same thing and I’d been taking my time so was ready to play something else. So I did a 16 hour run with the difficulty all the way down and ran directly to the daedric quest start points.
im still only missing 1 trophy from skyrim and its kill a legendary dragon. everything else is finished, most of the map explored (and all DLC) and my finished level was level 50 exactly. am i fuck grinding 28 levels for that one. just couldn't be arsed.

That nervous feeling you are talking about with the racing game... that’s the feeling when you know you are 1 kill off a nuke in COD. 9/10 I just go to complete trash
Yeah I got really upset with GTA 4 I got every trophy but 100% the game which I did but I’m stuck at 98% & I DID EVERYTHING.. maybe in the next couple of years I’ll go back 100% once more to get the platinum.
Anyone wana start a petition to force Sony to force every game developer to make multiplayer trophies separate from single player, unless its a online only game like just Warzone, then have no platinum or make all the trophies fairly easy for years down the line.
There’s a trophy on Persona 5 in which you had to read every book, and I missed one, so I had to re-play the game all over again. (The story is about 100 hours) But I love that game so it wasn’t that bad. One of the platinums I am more proud of
im missing only 1 achievement in skyrim and thats to kill a legendary dragon. cannot be arsed to level up to 78. i had every other achievement and all the DLCs complete and was like level 50. fuck grinding that....
I can't really do a top 5, but by far the hardest trophy I've ever gotten was Embrace the Void in Hollow Knight. Long story short, requires you to fight 42 bosses in a row. You die at the end? Too bad.

That 71% completion would not taunt me anymore...I had the drive, and I had the time (given I became unemployed at the time and was waiting on potential employers to call for a job interview).
Hell yeah
My rarest platinum is Cod advanced Warfare at 0.3% and second rarest platinum at 0.4 with the Last of us remastered
The Sims 3 on console was my f-ing jam man, the karma system in that game makes the game so much fun IMO.
My rarest is Cod bo4 with 0.1%. Getting Reznov in blackout was a big pain

Hardest trophy I ever unlocked was becoming Emperor in the Elder Scrolls Online. I think that tops all of these.

I don't even touch online trophies. I can do any grind or hard boss in Dark Souls - kind of trophy, and i love doing those. But multiplayer? Nope. Not gonna deal with that :D
Honestly getting the platinum in Dark Souls remastered was so fun. Even the grinding for Knight's Honor
yeah, their are a lot of games i won't even play just because it has online trophies
Most difficult trophy I got was demon souls, intense grinding for one stupid upgrade rock, that is 0.1% drop rate.and world tendancy
Nice man!
same for me
I just got that rock, is not hard I've platinum that game 3 time and always from 2 to 3 hour farming that stone
It's funny that everyone says how difficult it is to get these rocks, and I got all upgrade rocks I needed in less than 8 hours. The rarest one (the one you're talking about), took me about 3 hours to get (I don't remember how many you need, but this is the time I took to get all of them).
Bruce Wilfredo Becerril Campos dumb luck, ive farmed for more than 16 hours with 99 luck and a large sword of searching and still no bladestone

I'm still doing the defender trophy
lol same
Proud of you.I love siege but these trophies are too much
Took me 3,500 kills for it to pop for me.

My hardest trophies: THE ENTIRE LIST ON Overwatch. Still trying to get the harder ones like The Floor is Lava.
True
Through the fire and flames, expert is my one and only trophy I worked for 😂
Demon's souls has to be the longest platinum grind i have ever had, in the entirety of my ps3 career i knew nothing of online guides or boosting, didn't have a bluetooth to talk to anyone & didn't have many friends outside of fighting, driving & shooting games.
King Falcon I had the same experience

Strange for a polish guy if you ask me! Lol
I respect and admire your gaming passion.
Yeah I got really upset with GTA 4 I got every trophy but 100% the game which I did but I’m stuck at 98% & I DID EVERYTHING.. maybe in the next couple of years I’ll go back 100% once more to get the platinum.
I feel your pain for GTA 4. That & Far Cry 2 were my 2 hardest. All for nothing though because I ended up making a new PSN to get a better name... :(
Bauernizer now you can change your name lol
@@fbi7683 nahhh your lying where!!?
ChastBlind u can’t
@@yungdeenobeats5937 thanks for clarifying man i hate liars
@@chastblind7606 yeah but in a few months it will be posible to change your name
One of the platinums I am more proud of
I have one trophy left and it was messed up cuz yoshida straight disappears after 11/13
I dont really care about the trophies even though they say your a crazy pro but it i only play games for the gameplay
Same, I have 0 platinum but most games by just playing I get 50% to 80% completion.
Flappy Goat (Goat Simulator). That trophy damn near killed me, my controller, my TV, my self respect.
Skyrim shouldve been on this like getting all the daedric artifacts either way nice vid keep it up
@Zephyr it's known for glitching out and becoming unattainable. Happened to me a few times, took several playthroughs to actually get the trophy.
@Zephyr some of them youve gotta chose wand sometimes you gotta chose the right one like the werewolf quest
im missing only 1 achievement in skyrim and thats to kill a legendary dragon. cannot be arsed to level up to 78. i had every other achievement and all the DLCs complete and was like level 50. fuck grinding that....
Should definitely not be on this list, its not hard at all, just takes a while
@@rhyswhittington8759 doing that kinda ruined the game for me, so yea I recommend not doing it
I got that killzone one just by randomly playing
I can't really do a top 5, but by far the hardest trophy I've ever gotten was Embrace the Void in Hollow Knight. Long story short, requires you to fight 42 bosses in a row. You die at the end? Too bad.
Had the most fun getting platinum on Minecraft.
Probably the hardest trophy I've ever had to get his get platinum on Trials fusion on every map
Unlocked a bad memory with that PAIN trophy, can’t even remember if I even did it.
I just checked on PSN Profiles and it’s my rarest trophy I’ve ever earned wow
Me as a trophy hunter on Minecraft:
All of my friends: ArE CheAts ON??
Me: I’m tryna earn trophies so, no
My friends: No ONe CaREs AboUt ThOse
Me: 🖕😑
Why do people want cheats on so much? I always turn them off because it's more fun that way.
@@FuraFaolox they think it’s fun to grab all of the overpowered stuff and then play, or teleport across the map. In my opinion, half the fun is getting your own stuff.
Omg that’s me
