I completely get the burnt out with single player games and the platinum hunting. I've only just got back into turning on the console after months away from it, and I've had to start with a Lego game to ease myself back in and be able to dip in and out without forgetting a big storyline.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla killed Ubisoft games for me. At least for trophy hunting. The game over stayed it's welcome after about 20 hours. But it took over a 100 to 100% it
Great video. I’ve also had a change this year in how I spend my time. Haven’t earned a plat since April. I get too bored now doing grinds, compared to last year when I was doing stuff like Black Ops 3 lol. I can happily leave a game incomplete now
Some of the points made in this video especially about having a scatter brain and going on your phone are just so relatable man. I haven't been collecting achievements for that long (4 years) but I'm done man, gaming has felt so samey and stale for ages. It also sucks that a lot of the games I do wanna play cost so much money lol
Commenting a bit late this time because I haven't been feeling well the last few days 🤒 There is nothing wrong with taking a break or giving up on a platinum. Dragging yourself through a terrible trophy list isn't worth it but I can understand how it can be even harder for content creators if you're trying to make a video about your platinum trophy journey. I have currently the opposite problem. I have earned barely any plats this year because I have been unwilling to give up on an extremely time consuming trophy list: FF14. I'm slowly getting closer to earning 100% of the trophies. Currently only 8 users on PSNP have managed to do it and I hope I'll be able to do it too. This video has reminded me that I still haven't completed FF7 and the remake. Maybe I'll play the FF1-6 pixel remasters first to earn the plats in order.
I like how you are the only Platinum TH-camr that has a burnout phase. It's almost like you came crashing down from the sugar rush high of the Barbie Phase - all you Kenergy is spent. And now we await to see how Platbro/GoslingBro will rise again.
hahahaha this is true - I have been around for longer than most and I try and keep it real, most just won't talk about it. I like to share my thoughts in a very stupid way ha I am always kenough though
For me, platinum hunting I had to be all in or completely not at all. Countless hours of grinding but the "reward" of seeing 0 gaps on your profile kept you invested. The moment I lost that passion for seeing the numbers grow I find it all so tedious now. For me it's purely just fun now, and I kinda chuckle at how addictive it got! Looks like you went through something similar bro :D
100% feel the same. It all feels tedious and when you know a trophy is long because some developer wants you to play it beyond the length of the game it just feels like I’m getting mugged off haha
watching this video while grinding on predator hunting ground and yup i can agree with so many of your comments. i do feel burnt out near the end of the year for trophy hunting but will be playing less next year
I went from 10 decent plats a year usually for example a souls game every christmas or a assassins creed here and there, to platting max 4 a year now, games are wayyy too grindy for just a trophy imo. I tend to just jump on an fps game with mates nowadays, I do want to plat remnant 2 as the first one was my game of the year at the time and the plat was great.
Same I use to be the same but game devs know the longer and grinder the trophies are the longer people play and the more they can go look our game is good to shareholders
I have 2 platinum that are taking me way longer than I thought. They are Final fantasy 16 and Dying light 2. I love dying light 2 but it is so time consuming that I leave the game and come back every month. Is the only way to keep the completionist hobby fun
I've been very back and forth this year. Got a massive jolt of gaming energy once i moved out. But now it's dwindling a bit. I think my goal for the end of the year is to get to 285 plats, currently on 277. Cause i dont want the burn out
Yea, it's funny. I think back to when I used to grind online games for trophies and it just makes me laugh. I mainly stick to single-player games now because I can play at my own leisure. I'm 38 now and can't imagine doing any long grindy boost sessions with randoms like I used to.
I have over 50 platinums. Out of them 50 i have the dlc trophies for about 3 of them 50. Some games i have dlc purchased but havent touched it, because once i have platinum, im usually too fatigued to play dlc. Im like you. Im 35 now though and have bad adhd. Im really struggling to do the grinds that once seemed theraputic. Cba watching guides for collectables etc etc anymore. Much prefer just putting game on and playing it in my own time! If platinum becomes viable, i will get it, but i wont go hunting like i used to. Dont get the dopamine that i used to when getting plat. Feels like its all for nothing now. Also nice to see a fellow north eastener doing well on TH-cam gaming. I'm from Teesside! Just down the road, judging by your accent!
I gave up on 2 platinum trophies,Batman Arkham City because those riddler challenges almost destroyed my sanity and GTA V, because of one multiplayer trophy (win every single race) and i do t regret one bit for giving up on them
If it makes you feel any better, I might end up failing to platinum Subnautica. Not because it is difficult per say, but because it is one of the most terrifying games I have ever played. I hate deep water, and that Reaper Leviathan haunts my nightmares.
I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to missing one trophy on Tunic. I missed the 'Too Cute to Smash' trophy for holding the 10 money banks all at the same time, and I cannot be asked to replay the game to get it.
Yeah it is cute and fun. But how tough was it to decipher the codes for the secret treasures and hidden passages?! Not going to lie, I had to use a guide for almost all of them 😅
Now listen to me. Go get that effigy in Tunic. Like you say, it could be 20mins, it could be a couple of hours but it sounds like the quickest way for you to get that first platinum in a few months. The one day, you can look back, see Tunic there with a plat and 100% complete and remember that time I told you to pull yer finger out! :D
Nice to see you in the next phase of trophy life. You've still achieved massive successes this year with some of those platinums but i have given up on games that just drew themselves out too long this year too. Plus im not as skillful 😂 cant believe you got Anthem done, that game hurts my eyes to play and is the worst map I've ever tried to navigate.
Great video, man! My completion % is at 80.15 so I am okay with that. The games I have failed to Plat this year so far are: All I Want for Christmas are Subgames - A Christmas puzzle game - Currently at 8/41 trophies. I may return to this in December. Ping Redux - It was a free Ping Pong game, but I sucked at the levels - Currently at 9/30 trophies Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - This one hurts, but the Brutal Challenges defeated me, but hopefully I can finish one day - Currently at 56/61 trophies Finis - A puzzle game I lost interest in - Currently at 9/25 trophies Kingdom hearts 3 - I earned the Plat, but I hope to get the 100% in the Re:Mind DLC one day - Currently at 49/52 trophies
thanks man! 80% is a very solid completion percentage and it shows you are definitely a completionist we all fail games man - we tend to remember them more hahaha
Same I have the first 8 trophies quite quickly in the first 5 months. 2 years later more less just added 3 more and that is all. Tbh gaming in general is less interesting for me except when it is an good I really want.
The tunic platinum is not as bad as you think. When you start NG+ they all respawn. I was also 1 short as I smashed three of them apparently as there are 12 in total in the game, and I was holding 9. I found the first one in the game and my trophy popped.
i feel like i was one of the very few who were dissapointed that the FF VII game remake wasn't an exact remake of the original but with better graphics and audio and using the same combat style as the original - i loved the original final fantasy combat style of turn based fighting which stopped after final fantasy X and X2 - as i loved that extra bit of time to figure out the best move for the fight.
I recently gave up on getting the 100% on Vampire Survivors. I got the platinum, but there is so much DLC stuff it is 221 total trophies, I got to like 156 or so. I just can't bring myself to keep running the same 30 minute levels over and over for all the DLC, and I do not want to buy the 5 or so extra DLC
Repetition can be a killer to getting 100% in any game. I applaud your efforts. Maybe take a long break and come back when you're ready or if you're ready. :)
This is why I’m glad that PlayStation has platinums, I also use steam and Xbox but I never 100% anything cause I know if dlc comes back I would need to come back to it to keep the 100%, atleast on ps you already have the platinum for vampire survivors which for me is the biggest reward.
The problem with DLC is that one you beat the game you move on. If you like the game then you buy it but with prices these days you really have choosey on what you buy
After 4 years of trophy hunting without failure, this year i broke the chain, it started with Evil West, and in the sequence came Monster Hunter World/Iceborne, this plat simply crushed my will and spirit, since then i have a few more open platinum games 😂
I’m someone that went from not caring about trophies to trophy hunting from mostly online gaming with friends so I understand what you’re talking about my biggest thing with starting games now is it a collectables that take double the time of the actual game is their trophies that make it no longer fun I understand what grinding means as a GTA online player I understand how toxic communities can become.
I've been trying to up my completion percentage for like the past 5 years. I went from like 66% completion to just over 80% now but it took me over 5 years to get there and to do that, I haven't played a single new game that I couldn't 100% and I've been mostly playing older games on my profile that I never completed before and getting those cleaned up. It's been working fine for me since I don't care for most newer games anyway and the ones I do care about all have easy plats thankfully. Star Wars Outlaws was one I recently got. Yet another boring, repetitive Ubisoft entry but it was okay and has a relatively easy plat. But now you're locked into the game and I now have to play all future DLC to keep it at 100% and that's really the drawback for me trying to maintain completion percentage. It's the DLC and DLC is almost never as good as the main game which is why I never bothered with DLC before but now I have to. All because of these bittersweet trophies. It is like an addiction. Now I've finally reached my goal of 80% completion rate that took me 5+ years and now it's like I may as well keep going and go for 90%. May as well, right? I think trophies are the only reason I still bother with video games especially this gen with the underwhelming quality and quantity of good games.
i think 80% should eb the threshold you maintain but don't worry about getting any higher tbh, it shows you complete most games but also respect your time as well haha
I don’t blame anyone for not 100%ing games, it’s a massive time and effort commitment. I made the mistake of getting 30 plats on one account including tons of hard and long games like the souls borne games just to start over on another account because I had too many low percent games and unobtainable trophies
yeah, i never liked open world games too much from the start bro. Just the fromsoft games, RDR2, super hero games, and the new GOW games are about the only open worlds I really enjoy myself.
Personally i really dislike dlc trophies because once I've moved on from the game I'm unlikely to come back so instead of having a nice 100%, i now have like 87% or something annoying looking.
Assassin's creed Valhalla played about half of it, got bored with rince and repeat.... Then about 6 months later got back to it but was skipping dialogue didn't care about the story anymore and uninstalled as soon as the platinum popped.... The long assed games just to get 40 odd trophies is time consuming. So I'm giving up long games for a wee while and have been jumping back on PS3 and playing lots of games I missed back then and having fun playing games again...😊
11:25 your opinion on DLC trophies might have changed from when you stopped caring about completion percentage. Because DLC trophies would negatively impact that stat. Keep on keepin on with hunting for fun.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming out this year so yes there is an AC game. I actually just finished the RE2 Remake plat. Unsure about going for the 100% since that involves doing The Ghost Survivors.
I get what you mean, i started hunting in 2016 and tried to platnum every game, was 19 at the time and i dont regret anything and i do platnum alot of games yearly but im now at the point were i can leave the game if i think its not worth my time. I made a challenge to plat every playstation classic game in the catalog but failed lmao so im only doing the ones i truly have fun with because at the end of the day its about the fun, when it feels like a job then you're not really doing the hobby right
hey, you know i honestly think making goals around platinum trophies is one of the worst things you can do, it does just sour it and make it feel like work ha sounds like you have a good balance now though :D
A lot if the games you abandoned are doable and fun. I havent hit plat hunting fatigue yet which i probably soon will, but Im sorry that you have hit that stage man :/ if you didnt have a yt channel to up keep, id say take a break and come back when your ready to hunt obviously not doable. Glad i havent made a plat yt channel
Yeah very doable just not feeling it. I kinda have taken a break which is why the videos around getting plats in actual games have slowed down. I still really love making videos and talking about trophy hunting so thats the positive ha
Hey man, it’s normal to get burned out on trophies every now and then. What happens with me is I either play a couple of easy plats to get myself back into the game and go for harder ones right after, or I just stop playing games altogether for a while
@@PlatinumBro hey man, whatever keeps you happy works! I’ve played league for ages and I haven’t logged in for 2 years now, never felt less toxic in my life ☺️
Don't feel bad about Tunic, lol. I did the first Cat Quest and then I stopped 20 minutes before the end of it...until thr next year lol. So it happens!
Never understand why someone need to force himself to plat/100ing a game. There are some people (like me) who loves the challenge and the idea of collecting trophy, cause it s something that is linked to your account and u can collect generation after generation. But if u don t enjoy the process, why on earth should u do that?
@@Nova_Ash luckly for me, never get trapped in the 100% ocd. If I dislike a game, i don t even finish the story. Also luckly, it s really rare that I begin a game that I dislike, cause I get lots on info before starting a game , cause I hate loose time doing stuff that I m not interest in. Like i prefer to collect 100 feathers in Ac three times, than spend 2 hours playing something like Fifa or some other games that I don t like.
@@PlatinumBro for me it came kinda naturally. I only need to win a war and then I'll have the plat and 100% But I understand. Though you can get alot of those by participating in the events, they have extra samples and if you or someone in your team has the drone, it can help you a lot.
My Hero Ultra rumble is one of the jankiest/most fun/unique games, but the trophy list is awful. You can get all but Officer in like 200 hours but officer alone takes about 1200 hours which is just insane and feels like a developer mistake since its just a bronze with a side character as the trophy icon lmao. I'm gonna get it because I love this jank mess (a bit over 400 hours in and about 1/3rd towards the final trophy) but if it isn't your main game than 1200+ hours is a crazy grind to ask.
I started playing Yakuza the beginning of the year and I originally started with the intention of platinuming every game in the series but now I don't know if I can. There's way to many minigames, haven't even tried Mahjong (it scares me) and some of the other minigames are too hard for me. Kareoke for example, most people would consider it easy. But my fingers get tired easily and some of the faster songs I just can't keep up
I got the plat for most games of the series, my advice is: MIX IT WITH OTHER PLATS. It takes around 100h~ for each title and there are a lot of minigames that can be tedious if done for too many hours/days straight. Take a simple plat (something not lingerie than 25h~) and keep alternate to these games. Also, take like 2 months break between two different yakuza games, it helps to keep the experience fresh and less boring. For Majhong, u need to learn the game. I stuidied it for two days on the first yakuza (wikipedia and other sites helps a lot) and had never have any trouble since then. But mainly, if u feeling pressured, just take a break. I did it for so many long games (Diaboo 2 resurrected, GTA, Big open world or jRPG 300h~ long). Without breaks, it would be a torture. Instradamento, i enjoy every moment of every games i played.
some games just aren't meant to be platinumed lol (without losing your sanity) - best decision I made was to just accept some games were out of reach for me lol
Ghost of Tsushima, puting in multiplayer DLC should be a crime against gaming! Sony should remove trophies from DLC or just remove the 100% from the damn list!
In the end nobody cares if you platinum the game you should play a game to experience it. Whether its good or bad just play it dont let that stop you from playing games
One game I quit was guardians of the galaxy I only have I think 2 maybe 3 trophies left and one of them is collectible related because it bugged out and reset one of the sets of collectibles and I just didn’t give enough of a crap to do that again
I dropped Assassin Creed Mirage before the 1st trophy popping ... lucky me... i got so bored early and I found the game so blend and meh.... thank god for that
I could never do boosting just to get a trophy or achievement. It's soul sucking, and the complete antithesis of why i play games in the first place. I very much only 100% a game if i really enjoy it, otherwise it just isn't worth it imo.
I love achievements. I REALLY love them but I had moments when I didn't want to play games because I want all the achievements but I would be a pain to get them. So I stop my "record" of at leats one achievement every day (finished the day I wanted with the achievement I wanted) and it changed the way I play videogames. I'm enjoying them so much than before. If I want to get one achievement, I'll try to get it. But if I really don't want to, I say "F.. that" and continue to play normally. Enjoy videogames and if you are in the right mood, go and get the cheevos but don't force yourself about something you really don't want to.
There's unfortunately some games that you start and just can't do it. I have a 41.66% completion with 49 platinums and there is a solid 2 dozen I'll never touch again on the platinum never mind dlc. If the game ain't fun it isn't worth it. Looking at dream daddy with those bs mini game trophies.
To be honest i respect it a lot, ur just leaving shit left and right, massive arc in ur life bro 😂i remember u wanted to 100% everything with lots of pain. Im just playing 3/4 games a year i really want to play, like this year black myth wukong, ff7 rebirth, Alan Wake 2 and i just stick to those games i really want to play and get a plat on those. Rest of the games wich look interesting but i dont necessarily want on my page/want to platinum i play on another account just for pure fun, and if i dont like the game i just leave it. Keeps trophy hunting fun for me!

Assassin's Creed Valhalla killed Ubisoft games for me. At least for trophy hunting. The game over stayed it's welcome after about 20 hours. But it took over a 100 to 100% it
I agree . It was just disgusting
I shamefully have 100% for that game. Platinum, all DLC expansions, rogue like mode, combat challenges took me 240 hours 😅
I dread the day i reach Orgins, Odyssey, Valhalla… i already know they have an insane grind
@@battlep0t why u did this if u wasnt enjoying😭?
Great video. I’ve also had a change this year in how I spend my time. Haven’t earned a plat since April. I get too bored now doing grinds, compared to last year when I was doing stuff like Black Ops 3 lol. I can happily leave a game incomplete now
i am exactly the same my man. I just get bored and i don't think our hobbies should bore us or feel like a chore
Agreed, adulting and platinum hunting are a hard combo! Good on you for valuing your time. Should defo still play FF7 though...
Yeah man! Life just demands so much of our time hahaha
I know I need too ha
I failed getting the Concord platinum. Getting to rank 100 was my last trophy and I couldn't do it in time. Actually... Concord failed me?
Concord 100% failed you
Some of the points made in this video especially about having a scatter brain and going on your phone are just so relatable man. I haven't been collecting achievements for that long (4 years) but I'm done man, gaming has felt so samey and stale for ages. It also sucks that a lot of the games I do wanna play cost so much money lol
glad you can relate to my struggles buddy
yeah they are super spenny hahaha
Commenting a bit late this time because I haven't been feeling well the last few days 🤒
There is nothing wrong with taking a break or giving up on a platinum.
I hope you’re feeling better my man!
Props to you for seeing ff14 through, is that the online onev
Great video! I’m 47 and just stopped being concerned with play after about 5 years
thanks! i guess it just seems not worth it after a while - we only have so much time in the day ha
This is the end game phase of trophy hunting.
Its very liberating not to feel the anxiety over a plat.
100%, it’s so freeing
I like how you are the only Platinum TH-camr that has a burnout phase. It's almost like you came crashing down from the sugar rush high of the Barbie Phase - all you Kenergy is spent. And now we await to see how Platbro/GoslingBro will rise again.
hahahaha this is true - I have been around for longer than most and I try and keep it real, most just won't talk about it. I like to share my thoughts in a very stupid way ha
I am always kenough though
For me, platinum hunting I had to be all in or completely not at all.
Countless hours of grinding but the "reward" of seeing 0 gaps on your profile kept you invested.
The moment I lost that passion for seeing the numbers grow I find it all so tedious now. For me it's purely just fun now, and I kinda chuckle at how addictive it got!
Looks like you went through something similar bro :D
100% feel the same. It all feels tedious and when you know a trophy is long because some developer wants you to play it beyond the length of the game it just feels like I’m getting mugged off haha
In Cosmo Canyon there is a dialogue with Barret you can just loop and it builds your meter to get the Bromance trophy. No need to restart the game.
omg why didn't anyone tell me
watching this video while grinding on predator hunting ground and yup i can agree with so many of your comments. i do feel burnt out near the end of the year for trophy hunting but will be playing less next year
Hahahaha right! Fun game, not a fun platinum trophy
@@PlatinumBro yeah it's a pretty fun concept but defiantly not a fun plat to earn
For FF7, there's a glitch in Cosmo Canyon where you can boost your relationship with Barrett if needed to.
Oh my god
I went from 10 decent plats a year usually for example a souls game every christmas or a assassins creed here and there, to platting max 4 a year now, games are wayyy too grindy for just a trophy imo. I tend to just jump on an fps game with mates nowadays, I do want to plat remnant 2 as the first one was my game of the year at the time and the plat was great.
we are the in the same boat by the sounds of it ha
Same I use to be the same but game devs know the longer and grinder the trophies are the longer people play and the more they can go look our game is good to shareholders
I platinumed Shadow of Mordor twice with all dlc then did Shadow of War with all dlc back to back one of my favourite games of all time.
it's such a banger!
I have 2 platinum that are taking me way longer than I thought. They are Final fantasy 16 and Dying light 2. I love dying light 2 but it is so time consuming that I leave the game and come back every month. Is the only way to keep the completionist hobby fun
both super longys - just be like me, don't worry about it hahaha
I've been very back and forth this year. Got a massive jolt of gaming energy once i moved out. But now it's dwindling a bit. I think my goal for the end of the year is to get to 285 plats, currently on 277. Cause i dont want the burn out
yeah don't burn out like me haha I think goal setting towards number of platinums a year is always a bit dangerous
Yea, it's funny. I think back to when I used to grind online games for trophies and it just makes me laugh. I mainly stick to single-player games now because I can play at my own leisure. I'm 38 now and can't imagine doing any long grindy boost sessions with randoms like I used to.
so so relatable
I gave up on 2 platinum trophies,Batman Arkham City because those riddler challenges almost destroyed my sanity and GTA V, because of one multiplayer trophy (win every single race) and i do t regret one bit for giving up on them
Oh I’m always eating good when platbro uploads! Good to see ya again Lewis!
thanks Drew
I can’t be arsed getting platinums on most games these days. Only got 5 this year and one of them was San Andreas which was an absolute slog to do
very relatable dude
If it makes you feel any better, I might end up failing to platinum Subnautica. Not because it is difficult per say, but because it is one of the most terrifying games I have ever played. I hate deep water, and that Reaper Leviathan haunts my nightmares.
I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to missing one trophy on Tunic. I missed the 'Too Cute to Smash' trophy for holding the 10 money banks all at the same time, and I cannot be asked to replay the game to get it.
glad i'm not the only one tbh, it is a great fun cute game though
Yeah it is cute and fun. But how tough was it to decipher the codes for the secret treasures and hidden passages?! Not going to lie, I had to use a guide for almost all of them 😅
Going over the same 3 missions in suicide squad kill the justice league for 50+ hours was a very unpleasant experience but at least I got the platinum
100% agree, proper gross
Tbh I feel the same way as you atm I play games for fun now and not worry about percentage
Best way dude
Thanks man! Good way to look at it! Yeah anthem was brutally awful hahaha
Great video, man!
My completion % is at 80.15 so I am okay with that. The games I have failed to Plat this year so far are:
All I Want for Christmas are Subgames - A Christmas puzzle game - Currently at 8/41 trophies. I may return to this in December.
Ping Redux - It was a free Ping Pong game, but I sucked at the levels - Currently at 9/30 trophies
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - This one hurts, but the Brutal Challenges defeated me, but hopefully I can finish one day - Currently at 56/61 trophies
Finis - A puzzle game I lost interest in - Currently at 9/25 trophies
Kingdom hearts 3 - I earned the Plat, but I hope to get the 100% in the Re:Mind DLC one day - Currently at 49/52 trophies
thanks man! 80% is a very solid completion percentage and it shows you are definitely a completionist
we all fail games man - we tend to remember them more hahaha
@@PlatinumBro Thank you for the words of encouragement, man. I hope you have a good day and happy hunting!
You still plat over 500 games that is insane. You defo had some good time playing games.
Hahaha I did indeed good sir 🫡
@@PlatinumBro any highlight platinums?
Same I have the first 8 trophies quite quickly in the first 5 months. 2 years later more less just added 3 more and that is all. Tbh gaming in general is less interesting for me except when it is an good I really want.
i know that feeling tbf dude
Definitely a good idea to say nope its to much before it destroys you and puts you down a no fun gaming well
100% - i've been burnt too many times
I couldn’t even finish LEGO City Undercover 😭😭😂
That game is littered with collectibles. I just lost interest after a while and couldn’t play it either
don't blame you though
The tunic platinum is not as bad as you think. When you start NG+ they all respawn. I was also 1 short as I smashed three of them apparently as there are 12 in total in the game, and I was holding 9. I found the first one in the game and my trophy popped.
I DID NOT KNOW THAT!!!! hahahaha
i feel like i was one of the very few who were dissapointed that the FF VII game remake wasn't an exact remake of the original but with better graphics and audio and using the same combat style as the original - i loved the original final fantasy combat style of turn based fighting which stopped after final fantasy X and X2 - as i loved that extra bit of time to figure out the best move for the fight.
I get why people love it
I recently gave up on getting the 100% on Vampire Survivors.
This is why I’m glad that PlayStation has platinums, I also use steam and Xbox but I never 100% anything cause I know if dlc comes back I would need to come back to it to keep the 100%, atleast on ps you already have the platinum for vampire survivors which for me is the biggest reward.
yeah that sounds a bit too much
100% agree
Mafia II, that’s a game where the DLC has you look at it and say… no, just no.
platbro knows his stuff those bike rides on spider-man 2 where top tier and you'll get the passion back in 2025
Ikr absolute elite tier game development
Platinum Aliens Fireteam Elite. 3 player co op should keep your interest.
Already done it hahaha
The problem with DLC is that one you beat the game you move on. If you like the game then you buy it but with prices these days you really have choosey on what you buy
agreed
Ayo, was that my boi CushidoBypher in Predator Hunting Grounds? That's a W if I ever saw one.
Hahaha yeah it was 😂
After 4 years of trophy hunting without failure, this year i broke the chain, it started with Evil West, and in the sequence came Monster Hunter World/Iceborne, this plat simply crushed my will and spirit, since then i have a few more open platinum games 😂
hahahah the same thing happened to GuyFarruski
Just the fromsoft games, RDR2, super hero games, and the new GOW games are about the only open worlds I really enjoy myself.
and skyrim, obv hahaha
Personally i really dislike dlc trophies because once I've moved on from the game I'm unlikely to come back so instead of having a nice 100%, i now have like 87% or something annoying looking.
yeah i get that
Assassin's creed Valhalla played about half of it, got bored with rince and repeat.... Then about 6 months later got back to it but was skipping dialogue didn't care about the story anymore and uninstalled as soon as the platinum popped....
The long assed games just to get 40 odd trophies is time consuming.
So I'm giving up long games for a wee while and have been jumping back on PS3 and playing lots of games I missed back then and having fun playing games again...😊
hahahah we have all done that with an open world game,
skip all the dialogue because its boring only to realise the rest of the game is boring as well
Astro Bot has been a Godsend tbh.... to this day my second platinum 😂😂 (the other one is Elden Ring)
hahahaha it was great, unless you meant the new one which i haven't played
11:25 your opinion on DLC trophies might have changed from when you stopped caring about completion percentage. Because DLC trophies would negatively impact that stat.
Keep on keepin on with hunting for fun.
Yeah 100%
Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming out this year so yes there is an AC game. I actually just finished the RE2 Remake plat. Unsure about going for the 100% since that involves doing The Ghost Survivors.
Shadows got delayed to February
@@battlep0t Thanks for the heads up.
Have a couple games I gave up on as well. Waiting for the right time to go back to Spider-Man 2 for that one trophy as well 😅
there will never be a right time I feel ha
I get what you mean, i started hunting in 2016 and tried to platnum every game, was 19 at the time and i dont regret anything and i do platnum alot of games yearly but im now at the point were i can leave the game if i think its not worth my time. I made a challenge to plat every playstation classic game in the catalog but failed lmao so im only doing the ones i truly have fun with because at the end of the day its about the fun, when it feels like a job then you're not really doing the hobby right
hey, you know i honestly think making goals around platinum trophies is one of the worst things you can do, it does just sour it and make it feel like work ha
sounds like you have a good balance now though :D
Love that shirt 🤙🏻🤙🏻
hahahah thanks man, saw her live a few months back, she was so so good
A lot if the games you abandoned are doable and fun.
What happens with me is I either play a couple of easy plats to get myself back into the game and go for harder ones right after, or I just stop playing games altogether for a while
Always a good shout dude, for me, it’s smite or league of legends right now hahahaha
So it happens!
hahah two peas in a pod
when are you bringing
the platinum collection review back? we missed those video
Gonna do one before the end of the year, promise
My completion percentage is terrible because I've got a bunch of unplatinumable PS3 games attached to it

Never understand why someone need to force himself to plat/100ing a game.
There are some people (like me) who loves the challenge and the idea of collecting trophy, cause it s something that is linked to your account and u can collect generation after generation.
But if u don t enjoy the process, why on earth should u do that?
@@elmajico128 For me it's a OCD thing I used to hate seeing a unfinished list especially if its above 50%
Same here Nova
Dying light 2 is the one I'm grinding now after getting all but 1 trophy on borderlands 2
i've haerd nightmares about DL2
Wait till you hit 40. Pulled my back just plugging my charger in lol

Haha wait till you get kids, hitting 30 is nothing 😂
Pahahah I have no doubt

I can help you get some of those DLC trophies.
Oh nice! To be honest I can’t be bothered to do the stratagem trophy ha
@@PlatinumBro for me it came kinda naturally. I only need to win a war and then I'll have the plat and 100%
But I understand.
I'm gonna get it because I love this jank mess (a bit over 400 hours in and about 1/3rd towards the final trophy) but if it isn't your main game than 1200+ hours is a crazy grind to ask.
i did really enjoy it but yeah so god dam grindy
@@elmajico128 appreciate the advice
That is a monsterous task my man haha
some games just aren't meant to be platinumed lol (without losing your sanity) - best decision I made was to just accept some games were out of reach for me lol
110% agree dude - some just feel like a con
Ghost of Tsushima, puting in multiplayer DLC should be a crime against gaming! Sony should remove trophies from DLC or just remove the 100% from the damn list!
that was pretty grim tbf - took me about 60 hours to beat it all
blud put out an almost 25 min video to say "I have a severe skill issue", lol
Lol
Completion percentage. O, that way madness lies
It really is haha
Go back, I believe in you, you are the platinum Bro, not the almost platinum bro
Pahahaha so true
In the end nobody cares if you platinum the game you should play a game to experience it. Whether its good or bad just play it dont let that stop you from playing games
SO SO TRUE

pahahaha oh dear

i agree, it really is grim and i doubt ill ever do it again ha
Smite is devastatingly difficult😅
100% - Smite 2's platinum looks pretty easy though
@@PlatinumBro F bc I have ps4 and smite 2 is going to be ps5 😥
I love achievements. I REALLY love them but I had moments when I didn't want to play games because I want all the achievements but I would be a pain to get them. So I stop my "record" of at leats one achievement every day (finished the day I wanted with the achievement I wanted) and it changed the way I play videogames. I'm enjoying them so much than before.
If I want to get one achievement, I'll try to get it. But if I really don't want to, I say "F.. that" and continue to play normally.
Enjoy videogames and if you are in the right mood, go and get the cheevos but don't force yourself about something you really don't want to.
hell yeah man! Hit the nail on the head, sounds like you have a good balance

There's unfortunately some games that you start and just can't do it. I have a 41.66% completion with 49 platinums and there is a solid 2 dozen I'll never touch again on the platinum never mind dlc. If the game ain't fun it isn't worth it. Looking at dream daddy with those bs mini game trophies.
yeah man, ultimately only you care about your completion percentage

To be honest i respect it a lot, ur just leaving shit left and right, massive arc in ur life bro 😂i remember u wanted to 100% everything with lots of pain.
Im just playing 3/4 games a year i really want to play, like this year black myth wukong, ff7 rebirth, Alan Wake 2 and i just stick to those games i really want to play and get a plat on those.
Rest of the games wich look interesting but i dont necessarily want on my page/want to platinum i play on another account just for pure fun, and if i dont like the game i just leave it.
