How fun to stumble across this video! I'm on Rebecca's waiting list and am very much looking forward to having one of her guitars.
Beautiful playing by both of you.

Very pleased you enjoyed it. You’ll be more than glad you ordered with Rebecca, I can’t say enough good things about her work. As close to perfect as you can get, in my book.

What a nice surpise to see these two together.! Dustin Furlow, shurely one of the top guitar demonstration performers world wide - that's an art, that deserves much more respect than commonly regarded - and Karlijn really do a great job to show us the delicate quality of Rebecca`s guitars. Chapeau and thanks!
I didn't follow Karlijns career for some years. The more I was astonished about her musical development, showing one of the most sublime ways of attack in the guitar world and fantastic compositions. So I immideatly had to order her new CD and I´m very happy to have done this.

Thank you for this video Dustin. Gorgeous guitar, looks and sound. I really want to upgrade soon, and these videos are super helpful in determining what kinds of things to look for in good guitars. The search is far from over, but this is a great guidepost - to great guitars, and to now one of my favorite guitarists-Karlijn Langendijk. Oh my gosh. Never knew her before today. Why why why.
Last time I got this feeling, I was exploring a 17,000-acre area of protect land by the Pearl River in Mississippi and stumbled upon two millennium-old (no exaggeration) cypress trees, about 200 yards apart from one another. Each dwarfed everything else in sight. I had already explored out there many times.
I’ve listened to great solo guitarists for years, to where skill seems “dime-a-dozen” at times, but there’s something greater than skill here. You both have got it. What deserving musicians. Composers. Architects. I swear I try to keep flattery to a minimum, as a principle. But, just... whoops. 🙌

That’s very kind of you, Stuart. Thank you for the feedback and I’m glad it’s helpful. Have to love old cypress trees, they really do have a special charm. We have a lot of bald cypress here in Southeast VA, gorgeous stuff. Thanks again for the kind words.

Great video! Would love to see an episode on Beneteau. Karlijn would actually like my Adi/Ziricote Beneteau because it was also voiced to bring out the melody

Would love to hear or play it one day! Beneteau episode is on hold until he finishes a Baritone currently on the bench for me! Will have the OM featured as well

@@DustinFurlow BTW - not sure if you're aware - Craig D'Andrea's 7 string Beneteau was Adirondack/Ziricote. My favorite fingerstyle song ever is his song Day Man lol

I have the first guitar Rebecca ever made. She made some mistakes, so it isn't perfect, but she sold it to me for $300 with one caveat; I can never talk to her about it or ask her to fix it. Even with its imperfections, its tone is better than any guitar I've ever played. 20 years later, I'm still playing it around the campfire.

The price varies but Rebecca's guitars are very reasonable for how great they sound and feel. urlacherguitars.com
