Magneto finally ripping out Wolverine's adamantium in a live action/cartoon has got to be one of the most legendary scenes ever.
A live action cartoon?😂
Live action cartoon? Lmao
Bit of an oxymoron there. LMAO
...Or just moron.
@@diosbatman edited it out.
I love the hommage when Cyclops gives Nathan/Cable the suit. "What did you expect? Black leather?" In the first X-Men movie they wear black leather suits and he says to Wolverine "Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?" as an hommage to comic books and first animated series.
More like making fun of the comics. The director thought the yellow blue suits were dumb af!
I like how Morph had to go full Hulk to finally get a win.
But not Hulk level strength and he needed Jean to help with his Hulk leap.😊
The comic readers know cable has telekinesis but on the show they didnt know that yet, so thats all that was was a reveal, he is definitely under sinisters control
that was mindblowing to me since I've seen cable using guns but never his mutant powers
He used telekinesis in the old show to win a fight against Wolverine
@@AbyShifthe’s uses 90% of his power to keep the techno-organic virus from taking over his body. If it wasn’t for the virus he’d be the most powerful mutant on earth (or one of the most - that title changes a lot)
@@AbyShifthe used his powers a few times in X-Men 92 using his telekinesis to bring his firearm to him to unburying himself from a pile of rumble.
@@philcorrigan5641definitely not the most powerful but one of the powerful. I don't think he can go against scarlet witch or Franklin richard
Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine's body has to be the most metal( no pun intended) shit I've ever seen from a PG-13 animated superhero show and if this was R rated animated superhero show like Invincible I'm sure there would be even more blood and gore during this part lol
Actually the comic showed black ink blood so this was more bloody in terms of red blood. Invincible is just gore porn.
@@hamhockbeans oh ok interesting and yeah Invincible is pretty much gore porn lol
Invincible is just disgusting and gross, shouldnt even exist tbh
The problem with collars is that it in addition to dampening their powers, it causes Mutants pain whenever they uses their powers. Since she has no control of her powers and it is always on, she would be in constant agony.
There’s also a risk she would lose the powers she gained from Carol Danvers.
She and Gambit should've just brought Leech into the bedroom 😂
@@predatoryzzx That's true. I thought of that, But Leech is a child.
The funny thing is they had Leech and also on the Savage land Rogue didn't have her powers. Gambit even kissed her when they were captured by sinister. So the technology does exist and doesn't cause her pain. Also, Cyclops has the same issue with his powers he cant turn them off and the collars work fine with him.
@@michaelbannister7412Leech moves into the X-Mansion and is assigned the room next to Rogue LOL
Rogue doesn’t use the collar because it’s a symbol of oppression and multiple times in the comics has commented on how horrible they make her feel wearing them
Handcuffs when held by police are different than when held by your trusted partner.
I think its just writers copping out and not going for the easy answer so they can keep the drama
@@hectornonayurbusiness2631 I think it's easy to call it copping out when it's something you don't like but to me it made sense before I had it confirmed that was the reason
No Cable was just pointing out he had powers just like his mother and Jean not that he wasn’t under Sinisters control
He hardly ever uses them except to keep the tecno organic virus in check.
I do see red gem on Cable's face.
Yes he was talking about telekinesis and psychic energy blasted not telepathy
Rogue: None of you were there the day Genosha fell!
Nightcrawler: Remind me, mein schwester, who nearly died saving you and Magneto from that Sentinel's blast?
Would you believe that horrific shot of the adamantium being ripped from Logan's body was worse in the the comics?
Its always worst in the comic! Chills!
Those Collars use Radiation to disable Mutant abilities but Radiation also has long-term affects on the body. Rogue would also lose her abilities permanently over time.
A theory on the collar is that it causes pain to the user if they attempt to use their powers. By default, Rogue's power is always on, so it's easily triggered. The collar plan wouldn't work. For them, it's also a symbol of oppression, so maybe not the best thing to use to bend rules.
The reason why Rogue is not wearing a collar to temporarily disable her powers is because it is hurting her. Because her absorbing powers is something she cannot control like it is always on.
The collars give rogue migraines, they’re uncomfortable and probably very triggering for a mutant to put on :/ In the comics Beast made her a bracelet to use for her honeymoon, but she had to take some painkillers with it.
In the comics apparently rogue was sexually assaulted when wearing the collar so she chose to not wear it as a defense. Also ot apparently causes heavy headaches after a bit of wearing itb
"Wolverine doesn't scream, no he doesn't even have the time. As the Adamantium that was bonded to his very bones so long ago, is destabilized on a molecular level, ripped from its mooring and forced through his open wounds. Erupting forth like water bursting through a dam! As he falls, the stillness of pure horror surrounds the killing ground. Broken only by the voice of the one who since the day she met him and probably always will..love him."- X men 25, Fatal Attractions. The issue with a panel that last scene is based upon.
Only.. Jean is not there screaming and holding him together with her powers as to prevent Magneto from tearing him apart.
Just Logan, being torn apart.. Can't wait to see where this will go.
When I think to myself that a lot of modern writers are not as good as old school writers from the 70s, 80s and 90s; writing such as that excerpt is what I think about.
Those comics were full of dialogue, description and narration. It paints such a vivid image in your head.
@@BlackPantherN7 It was a necessity, with so few pages, visual was half of the story, you'd really have to sell it.
What you SAW on the page was wolverine being ripped apart after seeing everyone going gobsmack horrified, the info boxes of narrative gives that extra oh shit.
and the cool holographic patches on the covers, still have all those. The Hand racing out to grab Jeans, one of the epic moments. Of course, not all of us were on board wit the adamantium/ bone claw decision. They kind off wrote themselves into a corner.
The inhibitor collars cause pain anytime a mutant tries to use their powers, and since Rogue's powers are always active, she'd be in a state of constant pain while wearing the collar.
To answer your question at 5:00 I don't know why they never explained it, but the power inhibitor collars' radiation causes intense pain and headaches. Also in the comics, Rogue was a prisoner on Genosha and was assaulted nightly by multiple guards, which is why she doesn't wear one specifically. Actually, Rogue _could_ control her powers, but years of abuse have put a mental block on her being able to and it's a natural defense mechanism.
The dead silence with “I have chills on my scalp.” Made me cackle.
Cable has telekinesis, the power to move objects with his mind, not telepathy which is catch-all tearm for reading minds, sending thoughts, and mind control.
Go check out Fatal Attractions, more specifically X-Men #25 and Wolverine #75 for the gruesome scenes of Magneto ripping Wolverine's adamantium out. Fun fact in Wolverine #75 that's when everyone in real life found out that Wolverine always had claws when he PAINFULLY pops his bone claws out for the first time. Beforehand everyone believed the Weapon X program gave him claws when they bonded adamantium to his skeleton. Final thought, I bet the last episode brings Onslaught into the picture (a combination of Prof X's and Magneto's shared trauma created into a threatening being).
It was a stupid decision. They wrote themselves into a corner with that. Never was the biggest fan of that decision. I liked it much better that the claws were inserted.
Rogue wearing the collar isn't a solution. Take for instance a shock collar that we use on dogs. Let's imagine that whenever the dog barks, the shock collar gives the dog a shock. Now cosider the mutant power neutralizer collar in the same way. Whenver a mutant tries to use their power, the collar blocks the part of the brain that's allowing it to do it. For normal mutants, this is just gives them a slight headache for a while. But rogue isn't a normal mutant. Normal mutants can switch their power on and off whenever they feel like it, but rogue's power is constantly on. She can't control it. So the collar on rogue will constantly be trying to stop the part of her brain trying to activate her powers, in turn leading to severe headaches and migranes. In the comics she tries to mitigate this by using painkillers during her wedding.
He’s saying he also has his mothers power
That one flew all the way over her head 😂
@@shojo8708 most things do 😂
@@lisakulig3140
nah she's actually pretty sharp most times
@@Ziaotic no she isn't 🤣 are you New here? She's the same woman who thought Zaraki should be called unohana instead of kenpachi once he defeated her in Bleach, the same woman who completely missed the point of Serie's character in Frieren, she forgets things that happened one episode ago and fails to comprehend in-your-face concepts.
Fun fact: Magneto can control the iron in his blood, giving him some degree of healing abilities.
That Wolverine image is straight from the Fatal Attractions comic.
This season ends eith an onslaught or an apocalypse.
Sinister was controlling/influencing Nathan like he did Madelyne. But Nathan was pointing out much like Madelyne shit talked while Sinister controlled her that he's more powerful than people think.
Cable is one of the most powerful telekinetic ever. The reason you don't see him using it is because he's already too busy using it 24/7 to keep the Techno-Organic Virus at bay. Nathan was never "cured" his body simply learned to use his powers to maintain it. But if he was healthy he'd be Phoenix level telekinetic. Much like how Vader's suit hampers his natural connection to the Force in Star Wars.
This finale is going SO hard!
30 minutes went by like 30 seconds!!! WHAT AN EPISODE!! mind-blowing!!! straight from the comics! ...no time traveling to fix anything this time. LOVED IT!
Morph Turning into HULK and kicking sentinel asses was my Highlight in this episode. Like.....FUCK YEAHHHH.!!!!!
What happened to Logan was horrifying to see but probably not the worst pain he's felt on this show. Previously on X-men: The X-men encountered Kevin MacTaggert aka Proteus, Moira's son who had reality warping skills, but no control. Proteus ripped Wolverine to shreds, stretched and liquified him before the effect wore off when Proteus left the area. The experience left Wolverine sobbing. Later when they encountered Kevin again, Wolverine was so scared he actually ran away. Still...this dude has been THROUGH it.
When cyclops said about the black leather spandex was taking from the first X-Men movie when wolverine joined them to stop Magneto he made a crack about the black suits and cyclops said "what'd you expect yellow spandex"
5:03 - Well the collar also causes pain (migraines and headaches) while, and even after wearing it (temporarily). Plus Rogue has come to accept her powers as a part of her. Although she has troubles with them, she wants to live with it, not push it away or suppress a part of her identity.
In the 90s cartoon she actually did try "curing" herself to permanently get rid of her powers, but chose not to in the end.
Afterward, Wolverine loses his healing factor, and he becomes more of a beast than ever before.
One of my favorite parts was Hulk showing up, even though its not THE Hulk- Still wonder how long Morph can use another heroes powers and are they as strong as the original?
Right out of the comics with that scene with Wolverine/Magneto/Professor X. love how they nail it flawlessly.
let the ONSLAUGHT of events begins and lets hope this will not lead to an AGE OF APOCALYPSE and that removal of adamantium will do a FERAL thing to Wolverines mind and lets hope he will survive DEATH
Bastion season 1,Onslaught season 2,Apocalypse season 3 :)
Back in the '90s they didn't even let Logan draw blood - looks like some of the "parental controls" have been switched off. I wonder what's more painful for Wolverine - having all the adamamtium 100 pounds of metal "destablilized" at an atomic level and torn from his skeleton - or having 100 pounds of molten metal injected into every bone in his body all at once to get it there in the first place?
When they put the adamantium in his body, it was in a controlled situation where he was more than likely unconscious. I'm willing to bet this was far worse
I’m actually pretty interested in seeing how they’ll animate his bone claws. And just where they go with Wolverine from here after that.
I believe those power restricting collars caused pain whenever powers were used. And Rogue's powers are uncontrollable.
Bruh, the wolverine stuff was insane wtf, like this show looks so goofy at times idk how to describe it. And then suddely you have stuff like this in a moment super fast and brutal moments that make a huge difference in the story.
i can just hear Magneto going "NYAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!" when he looks pissy lol
Rogue wearing Gambits coat and her old villain outfit...Magneto put the helmet on Charles so he couldn't use his powers.
I had a theory that Emma Frost would come back and join either the X-Men or Magneto's team in the end because we saw that she survived the attack on Genosha, unless we see hints of that in the last few scenes of the finale I think they'll save that for season 2
No, Marvel's Val is Valentina Allegra De Fontaine. The Val of this show is going by Valerie Cooper.
remember, Sinister made Madelyn, he gave the virus to Cable and ultimately had a hand in his birth. In the comics, it is Apocalypse. Sinister is certainly controlling him. The only problem is that they did not even see it! this episode went way too fast. Needed more than 29 mins. Hopefully, we get at least 40 for the finale.
13:43 was her last blink before complaining about how long she hasn't blinked at 14:50. That's more than a minute and, considering the normal rate is 9 to 13 per minute? Yep, that'd be painful with contacts in!
Now you know a show is hitting peak levels of epic when it makes the contacts implode lmao.
"Im ruining the moment" me in any social interaction
I could imagine the next replacements if the other current members die out like Ice Man, Psylocke, Colossus , Shadow Cat , Dazzler
The show has done stuff in marvel media. I never thought would come to life. Truly event television for nerds.
15:11 Whoa, what note was that? 😂
I love this girls reactions. So relatable
Best/Worst part? The original comic story this show is adapting is known for two huge things, and Wolverine being wasted by Magneto is only one of them...
Jean can return from the dead like a Phoenix. A lot of references were made to it.
Wolverine doesn't have an "exoskeleton". He's got an internal skeleton that's coated with Adamantium. An exoskeleton would already be outside of his body.
I was pissed Storm never even acknowledged Gambit's death - I mean the two are supposed to be VERY close - and, Xavier's speech about Gambit was basically "he was really really Southern". Like, the man's dead, he died heroically, protecting your dream, and you're basically saying, "Man, he sure was a stereotype". I am surprised Xavier didn't lament having to throw away the stock of RC Cola and moonpies and calling off the spring crawdad boil.
A consequence of the light speed pace of the series. I'm impressed with how much character drama they've been able to squeeze in, but at that pace, so much is going to be passed over.
Wearing a control collar has always been a taboo thing with Rogue. It makes hear uncomfortable so she just doesn't want to do it. They literally have 2 distinct story arcs into 30 minutes. YES SINISTER IS CONTROLLING CALBE. Operation Zero Tolerance and Fatal Attractions. Now I'm proud to say that the Wolverine vs Magento part, X-Men Vol 2 Issue #25 with the hologram cover, I still own. This is a THEORY NOT A SPOILER. But in the comics, the Phoenix is still inside Jean but dormant. If Jean over asserts herself, the Phoenix can wake up!! They keep showing the Phoenix in the intro.
Rogue joining to Magneto in causing another genocide is a "great" form to honour Gambit death. Please Apocalypse, just bring him back as your horseman.
cable was saying basically about having telekinetic powers, nothing about the control.
off topic: my happy marriage released a OVA.
Cuz if she did use a collar it would cause he to feel pain when touching him and make her slowlly become sick. So the collars basically make it excruciating for those who wear them over time and especially if they try to use their power. So it would be extremely painful for her every time she touched him because it'd technically be her trying to use her power which is always kinda active anyway.
4:55-5:18 Exactly! 💁🏽♀️
Cable was being controlled. The red diamond on his head
Dont worry, Wolverine is fine, in fact, he is never been better😂
10:59 My Fav part lol
This season has been Excellent. Fatal Attractions Volume. I still have these hologram comics... Nice Review/Reactions Ms.!
Cartoon Logan doesn't know he has bone claws so it'll be interesting to see how that playsout.
Rogue s comment about morph was about the fact that morph first appeared and was captured on the same first episode(pilot). His time on team for us who had started to watch x men tas was basically the episode s running time
No, *Valentina Allegra de Fontaine* and *Valerie Cooper* are not the same character.
They're both from Marvel, though.
This sets up the Onslaught saga
They cooked HARD!!!!!
Also, the line Rogue delivers "Morph was only on the team 30 minutes before we tossed - them - to the wolves" was a joke about how Morph was an X-Men the Animated Series original character created specifically to die in the episode's pilot (to establish tone and stakes), and he did die at the end of episode 1, right at the half hour mark. (I think the gender nonspecific use of them over him is why people didn't pick up on it).
I’m so glad my favorite all time team is back home with Marvel. 🔥reaction ma’am. Salute
Love your reactions. Can't wait for the finale!
Just a small note: the Wolverine's adamantium is not an exo-skelleton. It's inside him. So it's just... a skelleton.
It's endoskeleton.
@@foxtrotalpha5705 So... It's a skeleton. That stays inside (that is what "endo" means)... Like any other skeleton...
You know, I’ve had the same thought 100 Times about Rogue wearing an inhibitor collar so she could be with Gambit…. Good catch….
Can't wear the collar as a solution. The collar uses radiation to cause pain, especially when powers are attempted. In other words, it's not good to wear even if you're just trying to get it on with someone.
I don’t think it’s about blaming Charles but I think they just feel he has no perspective on what they’ve been going through. Like Kurt said to Logan a few episodes ago, he wasn’t there he didn’t go through what they have to. Yeah he’s a telepathic and knows what they experienced but to them he wasn’t there and he doesn’t know what they’ve been through.
Reasons why Rogue being with Magneto is temporary.
• She's still grieving.
• Regardless of where she's mentally, she still knows the X-Men is her family.
• Someone might tell her: Let me ask you this, is this what Remy wanted!?".
• While she can play a good villain, the problem is that she's been a hero for so long that the idea of her being a villain again is out of the question.
I think the big reason is she realizes that being with Magneto means more mutants will die, specifically her friends, you could tell she was gonna join him early on from how she was acting and you can't blame her, I mean she lost Gambit, then had to witness Genosha.
@@digitaladventurer2142 I know but still tho, once Rogue gets her right frame of mind back, she'll return to the X-Men and they'll help her get back on track.
Yeah I can see one of them saying look at what you are doing do you think this is what Gambit would want for you , do you think he sacrificed himself to save everyone on Genosha and potentially many more lives just so you can take human lives and potentially some mutant lives on who stands in your way ?
Exactly some people call this character assassination of rogue when it's not that at all I completely agree with you
@@reno2319 Thanks bro, at least you get it.
in the comics, magneto got his heart ripped out and still lived.
He used his powers to pump the iron in his blood if I remember correctly
but here he would bleed out my g wolverine was fking smart he could end it all right there but they need him
to answer your question the answer is no it's not the same person and as for the dampening collar is that if you multiply using your powers it's very painful and her power is always on so that's probably why she doesn't have the slave collar on for having fun with gambit.
lol Welcome to our reaction to this happening in the fatal attraction saga in the '90s! Onslaught is coming!
Waited all day for this. My favorite reactionist to xmen97
Rogue cant turn her powers off, so the collar would have her constantly in pain (it hurts mutants when they try to use their powers).
Always the best reactions!!! 🎉⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rougue doesn't wear a collar because it uses radiation to supress the X Gene, also, it's a symbol of mutant supression, wich she's not at all about it, X-Men is more about accepting the way you are rather than trying to change or take the easy way out.
Onslaught is coming…
This is the best animated series since Avatar the Last Airbender!
6:26 that part got me about Leech
Started watching these reactions since episode one and haven’t been disappointed yet.
My exact words when you said them..OHHH MY FN GOD!!!
YOU'RE BACK! this is the reaction I wanted to see from you. 👍👍
Don't worry. Wolverine has healing factor. His bones will heal. He'll be back to bone claws.
He probably gon turn into feral wolverine and go crazy
War Horseman.
@@istaybandedup facts he power would be far greater than now and apocolips would go for him
The bone claw thing was not part of the X men Tas, so if they used bone claws even though in the original it literally showed weapon X giving him these new claws to make him more of a weapon, then that would contradict the original show that this is a continuation of. Also, Wolverine fought with captain America in X-men Tas and he didn’t have the bone claws so if they do the bone claws then this isn’t a continuation but a reboot
@@oatlaskennedy1308 Oh yeah I forgot. Wolverine was using glove claws during the flashback scenes with Captain America. Well we'll just have to see what would happen to the season finale coming in a few hours.
He will becake more ppwerfull than ever
In my Personal Opinion of this Episode, I'm conflicted a bit:
A part of me feels as though its quite funny that Charles returning, "Immediately makes Magneto the bad guy". Its doesn't feel right as he was willing to Honor this man's (Charles's) last wish and will, putting his personal feelings aside to attempt something better. I don't feel its fair for Magneto to be labeled a threat/issue, whereas his actions saved mutants across the globe from prime sentinels, not just in that area they were in.
Wolverine Immediately wanting to end Magneto I felt was ill timed also, because there was no real rational reason to want to, Nobody was in Genosha as Rogue and Magneto was and witnessed that carnage.
Charles can Read and/or watch Rogue's memories of that day and at least get a glimpse but He doesn't.
Magneto is Right and I stand on that lol. Btw watching your reactions are cute, its like sitting next to you watching it but not lol., sorry for the lengthy comment lol
Wolverine always hates extremism no matter who it is from, so it made sense he thought Magneto went overboard and took matters into his own claws.
Every time you think they can't top this.. they release a new episode

Edward vs. Jacob
Freddy vs. Jason

now about the neck collar thing i think thats because put that collar is like a signal of slavery to mutants by the human race and they hate that idea
Cable used some sort of yellow blast from his eyes...i think he got a mini optic blast
That scene when wolverine went for the death kill against Magneto...I had that comic book... that's when he used his powers and somehow manipulated the anamantium metal on his bones to come out of his pores/skin then Xavier vegetized his brain... somehow Magneto's evil psychie and Charles dark side created the being of Unslaght in Xavier.
