Using this video I was able to replace the battery with a few lessons learned. 1) Make sure you back up your phone before you start. 2) The screws are very tiny and easy to lose. Work on a plastic tray with a lip so they screws don't roll off onto the floor. 3) The screws are not all the same size and must be replaced in correct order. I used post-it notes with double sided tape to organize and secure the tiny screws. 4) Inserting the screws is a lot more difficult that it appears on the video. 5) The replacement battery I received was almost completely discharged so the phone appeared not to work during the assembly test. After assembly was completed and battery fully charged the phone worked fine.
Thank you so much for this instruction video - manual, it helped and saved my old iPhone 7plus :) BIG THANK YOU!!! The battery on my phone was still OK, but because I used it for car navigation, it was exposed to strong sunshine, and the battery inflated and lifted/pushed up the monitor from inside about 3-5mm...which looked quite scary. Only after removing the inflated battery, I did find that it was not necessary to remove the battery if I only perforated a small hole on the black cover of the battery to let the excess air get out and the battery would (probably) work well...who knows, but now the new battery is in and working well :) It was an awesome experience to open the iPhone, I must say that this technology is simply awesome!
Tips: To prevent losing all the screws or getting mixed up among which parts they belong to, i taped them to a piece of paper and wrote the part they belong to next to them. Also, if you don't want to buy the iOpener needed to warm up the phone and loosen the glue before opening it, I used a therapy gel pack instead. i dont know if it works as well as the iOpener or not but i wanted to use things that i already had. it seemed to warm the phone pretty good after i put it in the microwave for like 1 min 10 secs.
Great video. Much better than the one the battery suppliers linked me to. Being older and a bit shaky, it took me the best part of two hours, but I did it!!! Those screws are bloody tiny! I nearly went boss eyed.
It takes a lot of blow drying. It is the suction cup and heat and pulling that gets it out, not the guitar pick. The guitar pick just helps to slide it along.
This is a great step to step guide o how to change an Ip/hone battery. Can I ask why after changing the battery I'm having problems with unable to here anything from any videos/music?
If you use this video to replace your battery, beware that it missed a very important step. Always unplug your battery before trying to take it out, or you might burn the motherboard or other components if anything goes wrong.
my toush screen is not working... i powered it on b4to be sure the battery worked and now my touch screen is not responding i cant power it off or unlock it with passcode or fingerprint
i initially wondered the same thing before realizing that it's necessary if you want to apply new waterproofing sealant; otherwise you can save a few steps.
hello, please tell me why is so to just input plastic tool to loosen up adhesive to separate screen from the body? i cannot insert that plastic tool, no opening.. what am i doing wrong? need to heat up more with hair drier? truing with suction cup as well as help, but no result
@@lorenzanthonycanda4986 my son had to blow dry it especially along the edges for a long time. He had to also be pulling on it with the suction thingy so hard that it felt like it was going to break it. Now the new battery works much better and lasts longer. If not, bring it to a phone repair person. Good luck!!
I tried removing the silicon tape as shown. No joy. I tried a few times until the tweezer snagged the edge of the battery - then boom! The whole phone went up in a ball of flames! I suspect this video was a contrived demo for TH-cam.. So beware….😰

At 1:54 he mentions you should first disconnect the battery cable, and after disconnect the display cables.

hi thank u for useful video. why you disconnect three disply cables and front part of iphone ? is that necessary?
Your right, not necessary to remove display connectors...just be cautious not to accidentally strecth them when removing battery,
@@mikecarter79 he removed the display so he can put the water resistance outline.
@@GP-eq3gh Thank you, I didn't think about the water tight seal !!

Great video . Thank you for teaching to setup real new phone.😘
Why do you need to remove the screen ?

Is it still waterproof?
Probably not since you're removing the seal around the display.
@@Lumindir he installed a new seal - otherwise removing the display cables would've been unnecessary
У меня после замены батареи телефон произвольно начал перезагружаться и ужасно глючить. Пришлось вернуться на старый акб

Done a few now but I wish I could put the screws back as fast as this guy. Half the time I cant see them. I guess that's my age
Superb…..very clear ….
Price for battery?
How much money it is needed to replace battery
You can buy the battery from iFixit for 40$ CAD, or if you are from the US, 30$ USD

My phone is rebooting every 3 minutes now. Think it could be the battery I used?
Update, in case anyone is having the same issue. I simply unplugged the battery them plugged it back in and everything worked fine.

I still cant separate screen from body no matter how much heat I applied

Hi
This doesn’t look like an iPhone 7 Plus.
Nice
literally so annoying to see so many watermarks on the video!
