Not all old guys are bad....Some are just looking to ride and talk and teach and learn from others. Hard to find people to ride with sometimes. Stay safe love the getup.
@@dexchan_live He was super nice. So far the biking community has been amazing except some certain bike riders who don’t wave back… *cough* brothers…*cough*
seems like a genuine guy, but it was odd that he turned around looking for you (so it appeared). it'd be different if you two were at a fueling station or even at the same stop light. he had some good tips though and all in all, it seemed like a good interaction with a fellow biker. ride safe!!!
He's wrong about eye contact. You should be focusing on their wheels, it's the most reliable and fastest way to determine if a car is in motion. Someone can look like they're making eye contact and still not see you. Staying in the middle lane is also incorrect, you should try to make progress through traffic at a reasonable speed, and focus on lane positions that make you as visible as possible. Any MSF instructor will say the same thing. Escape route is solid advice, also always stay in gear at stop lights and be ready to dump the bike if you can't get out of the way in time if you're about to be rear ended.
@@halcyon_studio I’ve heard to watch the tires too. I also try to think about what I would do if I were the driver and hang back in situations to see what they are going to do before passing them. I agree with progressing through traffic, too. I think I heard Yammie Noob say that when I was watching beginner rider tips videos. I always ride staggered, never next to them. It’s also hard to make eye contact with them when they can’t see through my visor and their eyes are on their phones. 📱 Appreciate the input!
What is the top? Is that made for motorcycling? I guess not. If that is Polyester and you go down, that garbage will burn itself into your skin... just saying. get some proper protection gear, even if its too warm. Best regards from germany
@@FireflyAndGreenGoblin I only know that back in the 90s, when it was cool to wear those Bomberjackets from Alpha, that tose would melt themselves into your skin, if you slid over the road. Also safe riding for you and God bless

@@Eisenhammer78 No, it’s not made for protection. I thought it looked cool. I typically wear gear though. Thanks and safe riding!
