This is probably the best true low skin fade on youtube. Literally perfect. Low fade means LOW. Too many tutorials cutting MID fades and calling them LOW

I work at a Great Clips, part-time. (I'm 63, back won't take full days.) More and more younger guys are coming in saying they want a low fade, and I'm like--we do $22 haircuts (and for most of my career, I've done scissor cuts.) I really appreciate your saying this is a hard cut. Also appreciate the video. It at least gives me some idea of what I should be doing.

I have done several time low fade but couldn't get the satisfied as a barber super though no space or very little space to work on
I feel ya took me about 4 years of doing this cut to feel comfy taking a video of it
Would it be easier with someone with low hair? Like a 2 with the grain length?
It would a lot easier but that depends how low the client would want the fade
These are the cuts I rly try to weed out of my clientele unless they’re big tipper lol
They get easier the more you do them. Build the process that works and work on your time and you won’t have to feel like weeding them out!
@@dblessthebarber I have a system that works when I do decide to do them but I still try not to. I rather do 20 easy haircuts then 20 hard ones. I built up my clientele of haircuts I don’t mind doing and it took a couple years but it was worth it.

I bought it so long ago I can’t remember I got it on Amazon and it’s a carbon clipper comb
This is exactly what I want . I ask a NY Puerto Rico barber that cut my hair to give me a low drop fade one time . He said that cut doesn’t exist. I ask for a low fade instead and this dude went super high and cut all my curls .

What are your thoughts on the babyliss clippers?
It’s my main go to at this point. Mainly for the comfort since I’ve been having issues with my cutting wrist. But I love them. Super smooth
@@dblessthebarber I’ve been wanting to customize some but they can be pretty pricey. I’m hesitant bc I’ve heard the battery life isn’t that good. Even tho it says it has 2 hrs I’ve heard they die fast like faster then the cordless masters is that true?

So yea I’ve had that issue on multiple babyliss Fx clippers. My customs not so much. But the masters are hit or miss I have one that the battery light blinks right away even after hours on the charger and the other one is fine. Cordless clippers/trimmers are so unpredictable lol

How much does a cut like this cost??
Depends on the barber and the shop/salon. Its difficult to create. Not that they _can’t_ do it but because they may not want to take the time. So they’ll end up taking shortcuts to make it easier (more stretched or flatter on the sides) And it may not look exactly like this. Find someone on IG that can recreate this and see what they charge.

Yea man it took me years to perfect this cut I’ve been cutting this kid for 6 years and I’m just now posting a video so. Practice makes perfect for sure lol. And it’s still not perfect

Thanks for your response this is why it is called a hard barber tutorial because this was one of the hardest haircuts for me to do so explaining it is hard as well in a way for someone to follow it. its a detailed style haircut so you have to try and make it your own. this was just my way of how I did it.
u can fade but the video is not helpful at all for beginners,, The skin part went by too quick,, u have to develop a more reliable technique to show ppl
