Here in the US , we never really find perfectly packaged knifes laying around the woods. Pretty cool to check out other cultures though.

I recently got myself an enzo trapper with curly birch and o1 steel, i was wondering if you guys could maybe make a video about how to take care of wooden handles (oiling, putting on finish and care taking) would love such an information video! Enjoyed this video a lot :)
Tung oil is great. Water resistant and protective but not too slippery. Use it on my gransfors bruks axe, kitchen knives, chopping boards.

Fritz Stewart thanks, do i get tung oil in local grocery stores? Havent seen any 'cheap' usable oils at hardware stores..
Lorenz Pühringer It is not the cheapest oil. Boiled linseed is a cheaper alternative but i do not think as water resistant. Look up Danish oil as it has either ingredients. I got my stuff from a hardware store. A little goes a very long way and easy to apply. No brushes needed.

I love this knife! On all the malanika knives I have to admit, the handle scales are my favourite bit such lovely material. Great video as always and I will say I had to make an emergency trip to the toilet at the eagle bit.

The Casstrom Swedish Forest knife would be a great budget comparison for those like myself who can't afford the beautiful handmade gems. It has that same awesome handle design which really help with forearm fatigue and won't break the bank😉 That's why I love knives, there is always a good less expensive brand that most likely can fit the bill for your collection and needs.

Really good video guys, I have been watching you guys for a while now ( I'm a bystander knife guy . . . i sharpen my knifes with sandpaper . . . ) but this video was really a step up, :) . . . great timing and understanding of story structure . . . and/or audience manipulation:) I mean it when I say, you made me smile and laugh. The kid in me, the one that only had a Swiss army knife, was very pleased and entertained by this last post. Duloknives difficult to beat. A tie, maybe? Both are beyond awesome.

nice video, and nice little test over the steels which is very rare on your channel guys. Please do more tests if there's a new steel. I'm interested in cru-wear against cpm 4v in rope test. And how hard is to sharpen that Cru-Wear in comparison with cpm 3v?
Thanks a lot! Actually cruwear wasn't that much harder but this was also 62 HRC while my 3v is 59-60 hrc

Nautical knives often have so much chromium in them that they are too soft for bushcraft. I think you could do with s35vn if you wipe it of once in a while
LOL, i just ordered the Malanika Puukko 4V....i was gonna get the CRU Wear one but wasnt sure about the steel....i have 14 months to wait though.......worth the wait i hope :)
