I have an Ekster aluminum card holder from years, I can confirm thats a really good product.
No one wants those damn wallets. Glad you're making money though.
Please abuse test/review some Toor Knives. Thanks
Hey guys, waited over 15 months but got my Folklore in Magnacut 2 months ago.
Gary does fine blades.
Love the new song, boys! Lol
I look forward to our AI overlords.
AI made :)
You know what's funny is that i have started to recognize when it's AI ... something about how they don't really try to rhyme when they sing stuff and the cadence gives it away, at least till they improve it even more!
Im loving the soundtrack to this video!
.. and just like that we are full circle back to sharpened pry bars!
Naw! Most knives in CPM Magnacut are really thin! Most under 1/8"spine cause thicker sells out immediately
8670 steel is a low-alloy steel that contains significant amounts of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel. It has high hardenability, wear resistance, and fatigue strength, making it ideal for heavy-duty machinery, aircraft parts, and ordnance components. Moreover, 8670 steel can withstand high temperatures and extreme stress, making it a popular choice in the oil and gas and power generation industries.
On the other hand, 5160 steel is a medium-carbon, low-alloy spring steel that is alloyed with manganese and silicon. It is known for its high yield strength, toughness, and excellent fatigue resistance. It’s commonly used in the automotive and industrial sectors for manufacturing leaf springs, coil springs, and other spring components. Moreover, it’s affordable and easy to shape, bend, and temper, making it ideal for forging and machining.
8670 steel is a steel with an interesting history, and some interesting performance. As a knife steel it can reach optimum toughness at around 60 HRC (What I consider the best hardness for knives). 8670 is one of the Toughest steels on the market that can be used for knives.
8670's composition is pretty basic.
0.7% Carbon. 0.5% Chromium. 0.5% manganese. 0.2% Silicon. 0.1% molybdenum. 0.8% Nickel.
8670 was developed around the time of World War 2 and it was to extend the nickel supply for steel (It was made as a replacement for L6). L6 had around 2X the nickel content, but I would get get an 8670 steel knife any day over L6 because 8670 can be tougher at higher hardness.
I am actually saddened that 8670 is not in the mainstream of knife steels, especially in America.
@@johnsmithfakename8422If you compare 8670 with cpm-3v, which one is higher for Toughness?
@@chancethe9374
According to knife steel nerds.
8670 - 1.5 Edge retention, 10 toughness
3V - 4.5 Edge retention, 9 toughness
3V is the better overall steel but 8670 is a steel that will take more abuse.
8:20 made me cry a little...
But 10:30 made me smile !
Kudos to Creely ! He's got my attention.
I almost chipped a tooth at 08:20 I was grinding so hard 😬
You know it's serious stuff when they bring out Lucille 😂❤
The Hee hee Nederland Hee hee Netherlands + the DBK-country-song had me Lolling! You guys are GREAT!
8670 is saw blade steel so of course it is tough ass stuff. My chef knife is 8670, and my nursery knife.
That song really hit home.
Is it just me or is the music in this video absolutely incredible. Not that I don't love Woden Boys.
Yo, this ultimate bushcraft knife is on steroids!
When is this new country music coming out !?
😂 Also loved the soundtrack gentlemen.
The Music!!
Great Great Great
Knife reviewer theme songs are the new frontier. Get with it Canterbury and Blackie😂
Martin turning into Doc from Back to the future with this haircut. Thanks for the awesome vid, that knife is a monster. Much love from Canadia.
Great!
Nice song, bravo DBK!
That normal cheap knife looks a lot like the m9 bayonet i had when i was younger only mine had a green handel also the song is beautiful and the knife looks like the knife that raymears counterpar from america would use anyways great video keep up the good work
First off you pair’s dancing was some of the best I have seen outside of a wedding 😂
The tunes you used were amazing although I was kicking it a bit more with the Wondaboys I can’t help but say I enjoyed them both hahaha.
As for the knife holy hell this has to be one of the best pieces you have had your hands on in a while it just took your kindness in its stride and after a tune up was back for more ! Fair play the man can make a solid piece for damned sure ! Does he deliver every piece he makes by himself 😂
Right that’s enough of my babbling you two have a cracking weekend ahead and as always you lunatics stay safe and healthy 🫵🏻😘👍🏼
Ray is looking great 😁👍
I love, love, love my Creely Mako as my edc. Been looking at the Beast or the regular Folklore so glad to see a review. I was hesitant on the Beast because it was so thick I was worried about how it handled basic everyday tasks. Now I have to save my pennies until fall, already spent my summer knife budget on 4 TKell knives from their 4/1 drop.
APRIL FOOLS!
Great video as usual!
Buen cuchillo ! y buena musica 🥹 . No se puede pedir más ! gracias 😆👍
Think of 8670 as an improved version of 5160, extreme toughness and good edge holding.
Awesome, thanks for another great video guys! Love this knife, I just got mine about 3 weeks ago! It's a long wait but worth it!
And I just barely ordered it. There's many knives in my stable that I got after seeing Dutch Bushcraft Knives and it's no coincidence
DOOD! How's that song! Incredible voice! 🤯
Impressive knife. And two DBK songs 😊
Nice ones boys! That looks like an awesome knife!!!
Ima put y’all onto something, Ka-bar just essentially released a bk16 in magnacut, full tang and everything. Should do a review! It’s called the bk76 magnacut, I’m gonna get one as soon as I can, looks like a great bushcrafter
As always, impressive.
The music is ace :)
great stuff guys
Very impressive knife 👍
(Great songs too :-)
the best knife videos on you tube!!!
keep up the good job guys
That knife is basically a sharpened prybar haha
If I were a knife that would be an X rated horror movie !
As a human I’m in awe that it survived …
Great music by the way.
Much love from the UK 👊😎✌️
Lobe that slapping the fire with the bat scene that's why I'm here. Sometimes I miss those iconic random farts still
Loved this video lads, the original music was fantastic 👌
Music was great in this video
You really should get your hands on a Haakonsen. He is a knife-steel wizard. His A8Mod hollow scandi is perfection, 5mm spine and still slices like a razor. Takes a hell of a beating and sharpens up without any effort. It´s perfect. Except maybe for the price.
The new Casstrom no 14 in A8MOD steel.
Top video Bushcraft boys. Nice knife.
And patreon! Join the club gentlemen
Leeegeeeeeenndddd
Joe X would be proud.
Joe X tested this knife and was very impressed!
Good job on the video lad's 🤟
This knife is amazing
Nice one guyz! 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼
You Fiends!! I saw knife testing, that was against the Geneva Convention!😂😂
Stay sharp
Ok fellaaaaaas! Let’s talk bespoke DBK music now……..😮😮😮
Almost 5.5, 6mm thiker... A beast
Original Dutch country music 🤠👌
Please release a DBK soundtrack!!! There have been so many great songs recorded over the last 10 years that can't be found anywhere!
Especially the one that dings "Woden, Woden, Woden..he like to be your friend" I miss watching that video and when Maarten's girlfriend knocks him or Mikkie B for a loop. ( I forget which guy it was)
@@JosephOlson-ui2pg Odin for you and me 🎶
Thiiiicckkk baby 🎊 🎉😂
8670 is my favorite steel
Man that's quite the service coming to your house to give it to you! I now want one haha!
Was Mikkie really a fighter in Thailand? Or just lyrics?
Hey guys, love the music. I work for the Universal Music Group where I lead on collaboration projects between artists. My good friend Taylor Swift is interested in doing a collaboration video with you guys. How about we catch up sometime over a frappachino to discuss options? I can fly over to Amsterdam early next week, so Tuesday is looking good in my diary. Regards Dave
I've been waiting for mine for 8 months, so hopefully soon
I just ordered and paid deposit very recently so I have a much longer wait. The sheath for it sold on Etsy came today though
12:10 HAHAHAHA! 😂
Hey absolutely love mikkies song that you play great video as always #wodan boys
Love the content guys!!! have you guys ever looked into Condor Knife and Tool? It's a fairly popular knife brand in the States. It would be really cool to see a video on one of their pieces. It's a pretty affordable brand as well. I don't have any affiliation with the company in any way but I think it would make for a great video. Thanks guys!!
Wiooooooooow i want one...
You guys did it again... can i buy this in the Netherlands 😢 this knife is spot on
Hey, were songs DBK songs AI made?? Cool knife Creely made and hand delivered to your door. Pretty cool, and good for sales. Smart. I've a mako by him, he makes nice stuff. Thanks for a happier Thursday!
Please... release the song... 😁love it 🎵🎶🎵
In the heart of the wild where the mounts stand tall
There's a knife that's a cut above them all
Chromed with skills, crafted with pride
Dutch Bushcraft knives nothing else can provide
From the heat of the desert to the cold of the snow
And It's razor sharp edge, it's ready to show
Through thick and thin...
... until the very end🎵🎶🎵🎶
I shazamed it... googled it through the liyrics... but nothing 😢😭😅
Sounds a lotta like AI generated, that's a damn disappointment :(
You gotta try out the Swiss tech knives they got a line of blades I think you guys could make some great test videos on
Love the hair
The music went hard
Maak eens een video over de buck 119. Ben daarmee wel benieuwd naar jullie mening👍🏻
2:29 Zoolander Blue Steel
The song at 4:34 is bad ass!
this one is a jon favreau solo, johny lee miller went on detox presumably.....
I wish you guys could review a Johnathan Deering knife.
Like it, like it a.lot, have you ever considered trying a Kukri? The Gurkha's and the british army swear it's very useful for bushcraft.
Just a thought and something different that's all.
Bros managed to fit a whole music video
These boys are very ' Doetsj ' all right. Thicker accent than those tree trunks.
are you guys going to review Karesuando kniven knives?? pls
Can we get the link for the song please?
JoeX DBK Crossover?
Nice song😂
Ferro rod to camera. I know sparks from cutting steal with an angle grinder stick to glass, then rusts.
I like the normal music vs the weird AI crap.
Im VERY glad you noticed
I desinged my own knife made in the same material and I'm just waiting for the person I sent it to to make it
Odd question, where do you guys get the frying pans? Do you buy them, ask people for their old ones?
Guys help me please to choose a knife between fälkniven f1x elmax and bark river bravo 1 A2....thank you.
Why dont you guys head to the US? I live in the mouatins , catskills, but not the vacation part. Id love to see and be part kf a bushcraft adventure here, different woods and risks, animals and ground. I can house both of you and im sire a sponsor would take care of the rest.
The knife is cool. but it’s strange that there were chips on the edge after cutting the metal. in Joe X tests the edge suffered almost no damage. Maybe this is due to the fact that Joe X's knife had a hardness of 58 HRC, but here the hardness was 60 HRC. But still, the results are excellent and it is clear that there was plastic deformation in the tip area.
I think that knives from Mr. Creely will become one of my favorites!
The joe X knife also had a little more abrupt convex, less slicey. The Joe X knife was the first one I made, so the design has evolved a bit to make it a more competent bushcraft knife.
@@Creelyblades understood. Is it possible to make another knife like the first one for Joe X?
The song though... lol good job guys!
Is it made with American steel?
Rope cut test ?
Joe x first😅😅😅
Just going to be real here and say this.
I am sure this is a great knife and clearly super tough but it's really only suitable for a very narrow intended use being a sort of end times edc that you take with you to do everything from pry doors to bushcraft but you can also get the teraavapuuko for a fraction of the price that will be tough enough for just about any kind of use and the bonus of having an $70 knife VS a $350 knife is you'll be a lot more free to abuse it. Perhaps the biggest negative to a higher end knife is actually using it hard because of its value.
Personally, there are other Creely blades I would choose over this but that's just my opinion. He does make awesome knives, one of the better knife makers with dialed heat treatment.
it is Terävä puukko, which just means "sharp" as the brand itself and puukko is just a knife in finnish. consider yourself informed.
Everything in this video made me happy. The new songs where terrible in a good way.
Wish I could afford this thing 😢😢
Dbk hired Dolly and George straight to sign their sons lol
I literally ordered this one 4 days ago! What are the odds? A little disappointed guys, Creely designed this knife for the Joex destruction test and you guys didn’t mention him once. 🤨 you should have. Shout out to Joex!!!
you know what... I completely forgot to put any of that in the edit...
I read this comment just as the video got to 13:08
They credit Creely 👍
