I have this year's T100 and love it 😁. We actually went for a Street Twin but supply issues meant we told the dealer we'd probably wait till next year before buying. The dealer, keen not to lose the sale offered their in stock T100 for such a good deal that it was a no brainer. Coming from a Honda Crossrunner it was getting to tall and heavy for me. Re evaluating my use case for a motorcycle, the T100 is a real sweet spot. The higher output 64bhp engine of the ST came late to the T100 and it's perfect for two up riding. We did contemplate the RE Interceptor of course but needed a little more oomph. The higher higher quality of the Triumphs made paying a premium worth it for us. I'm only 5'6" and still find the T100 manageable. The seat is about an inch higher than the ST due to a taller, fatter seat (which is also much more comfortable). No LED headlight though. Looking forward to your review very much 👍

Thanks 🙏 and yes I think the T100 is better than ST more substantial I think. My video live at 9am tomorrow 👍

Needs the Triumph Bench Seat to add some height to the seat to peg ratio👍

Can't wait for your take on the T100. I'm in the market for my first bike after passing my MSF course here in the US and it's between the Street Twin and T100. I'm 6'1" and a complete noob.

6’1 the twin is too small so stay tuned next few days I’ll have the T100 up on the channel

Good summary of your thoughts. Love that bike, might be my next purchase. I'm a fan of the ironstone and couldn't justify spending an extra £600 on the Goldline.

Nice looking bike, but I'm a similar height to you and the Triumph does look to small for 6ft +, and agree about spokes and mirrors. Good review as always thanks Moto UK.

I went for it specifically because it doesn’t have spoked wheels. Last two bikes were spoked and fed up of cleaning them

nice low seat again which is pretty rare these days on bikes, good on Triumph to start levelling things up (fed up of all the adventure bikes and the need for a ladder !), what a steady hand to create the paint lines and text, rare again to see a single front brake disc on a 900 and a change of bulb in the headlight required. Our ride out to help out will take us to the Old Stores Motorbike Cafe just outside Mold on our way to Aberystwyth this weekend, well worth supporting before another lockdown comes as I am sure one is on the way yet again.

I,m 5ft 9".so perfect size bike. I,m Fine with non spoke wheels. Its 22kg lighter than the T100, it handles nice brembo brakes are fine unless you ride like a schmuck! It's got a smaller tank which looks better to me, the fuel range is not an issue for me, as I only ride one to one and a half hours, round trip. The 5speed gearbox is also OK, as I don't do much more than 70mph. I prefer A and B roads, being a naked bike. To sum up, it's a chunky, well made bike that handles well, but it's the torque which is so addictive coupled with the sound from stock pipes, great stuff. P. S changed mirrors to bar end, much better. And will shod wheels with Avon, or metzsler when worn, as the pirelli phantom tyres are poor in the wet. Ride safe.

I bought one here in Australia and I love it. I like the wheels on it but I am with you on the mirrors and am in the process of putting Speed Twin mirrors on it. I am 5' 7" and it's the perfect height for me. Love your review

Lovely looking bike but I'm over 6ft and usually ride with a pillion who is almost as tall. Perhaps the T100/120 would be better but I don't fancy cleaning spokes.

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

T100 or T120 is good two up and with todays cleaning solutions spokes are easy 👌

I tested a Street Twin and placed an order, I am under 6ft so I wanted the lower seat. My last bike was a T100 which I bought new 15 years ago...

@@MOTOUK1 excellent, look forward to it. It's one that's on my list for next year along with the T100. The street twin is beautiful but feels a little small, the other two feel like a better fit. Cheers

The trouble with all these new Triumphs is if you want to do your own servicing you can’t turn off the service indicator on the clocks. You need the dealer tool software at £60 to do it as I’m sure the dealer wouldn’t want to know without them doing the servicing for way over to top prices. Unless you know different, your thoughts on this welcome.

I’m sure a code reader and reset is all you need £30 on Amazon or eBay, interested too if someone has used one as I have not.

Looking at a selection of Amazon ones seem to mainly work with an Android phone not iPhone. Unsure if it allows you change anything, just read the data?

European bike for Japanese short stature people. My legs are too bent for me even being 5'9" tall.
