Misjudge position by just a bit, and you could be looking at going off a rail or two trying to get back to the pattern you just shot away from. For me that usually spells doom. The ability of top players to recognize those difficult patterns and keep a line all the way through them is astounding.

Shaw had a 5 on the 9 combo he didn't see before shooting 4 he got out any way but quick 9 ball and build confidence.
