Search Earl Strickland 1983 versus Steve Mizrak at the Lake Tahoe open. Earl was 22 years old and just coming to National prominence. It is just an absolutely unreal performance and the most offensive, no defense butt kicking he’s ever displayed. The video is so old his nickname was Little Earl back then lol

No way. Having been on the wrong end of the winner breaks system it is totally unsportsmanlike. If a person or tournament host wants to do the winner breaks then it should be an exhibition match to show off a shooters prowess. After sitting out 3 or 4 games it is virtually impossible to catch up. Especially at this level.

@@we_r_fallenangels OMG!! LOL! I'm glad you responded. I knew what I was thinking, but I typed it wrong. I absolutely agree with you (with a caveat). As soon as I hit the reply button, I'll edit my above comment to say "...bury the WINNER break..."
The caveat is that once the shooting player misses or fouls, the incoming play can also string some racks together. The thing is that when the end of the match is near, the shooting player has a great advantage. Once the match (to 11 er sumthin') is over, it might as well have been a race to about 3, ya know?)
Sorry, you who have upvoted me. I did not say what I meant. I'll edit it now.

@@johnstorton Yea back when I first started shooting 54 years ago it really didn't matter because nobody I played with could run the table and neither did I. But nowadays.....I play in a bar league and you pretty much get to miss 1 shot and the opponent runs out but even if he didn't he can play a good safety and your down the tubes. We use the alternating break thank goodness. I am just now learning the bad-leave-ball-in-hand way of winning games and it is really different.

I don't know how many games I lost because my opponent was 1 step ahead of me choking me with a bad leave then getting ball in hand and then running out...

at 12:52 the player on the back made a jump shot and the cue ball went out of the table lmao!

At 14:25 Jayson should have shot the 2 ball rather than a safety. He had natural shape. He is a pro after all.

Look again, getting on the far enough right on the 2 puts him into the 6 ball path, that's why he didn't cut it in. Would've required swerve or a jump.

My initial thought - Oh, typical...empty tables everywhere and the put the 4 players on adjoining tables where they'll interfere. My final thought - when you play as good as Earl it doesn't matter where you play or who's nearby
