Since many of you have asked, I've created a Udemy course on Spine Pro! 💛
► Enroll HERE:

Thank you so so so so so so so much!
Just bought your course, super AMAZING!
@@Leatherjacks Wow, thank you so much! :)
I have both of your Spine courses, are you going to make anymore..?? Or perhaps one on the creative process of creating the characters in Photoshop, and another on integrating the Spine animations into Unity..?
Hi! Is your tutorial and Udemy course using Spine 2D Essential or Professional? And if you're using Professional, would we be able to achieve the same effects with Essential? Thanks!☺️
@@jasmyn1258Hi! I have separate courses on Spine Pro and Essential, each one covering the most important features of each version. If the effects you've mentioned is 2.5D, then Spine Pro is definitely better since it supports meshes. You can achieve 2.5D to a certain degree with Essential using shear and scale tools, but it will not be as smooth as with meshes.
This is more clear than the other tutorial, thank you so much for this.
You are a gifted teacher! I purchased your udemy course yesterday and already I understand things I couldn't get before. I'm going to take all your courses now!!
thank you so much for mentioning what you're doing with your mouse and keyboard, unlike some other "tutorials" out there
thank you very much, every time I search my questions about spine on TH-cam it's your page that always have all answers, you're awesome 💓💓💓💓💓💓
Amazing teacher and Tutorial!! I've struggled with other tutorials, but you managed to make a thorough tutorial in less than 20 mins while still keeping all the valuable information in!
Thank you again! If I choose to buy Spine Pro, I will definitely buy your Udemy Course!
I never heard of this before but the concepts are almost the exact same with 3D rigging and animating, which makes it easier to understand.
Super Educator, Its clearly and detailed explanation, We need more tutorials about spine . Thank you.🙏
this cover everything for basic setup. what a incredible and usefull video. thank you.
This is the best basic tutorial in whole youtube universe
Thank you. You really made my learning process so much easier! Instantly subscribed ;)
I'm really glad it helps! :)
This is the best Spine tutorial I have found in TH-cam! Amazing work.
I'm thrilled to hear that! Thank you so much for your feedback!
@@ThinkCitric just enrolled in your Udemy course. Your tutorials great!
@@albertoramirez9465 Thank you so much for your support! Hope you will like the course, and feel free to ask me any questions! :)
I feel like Wonder Woman is teaching me Spine. Not complaining. Beautiful voice
No matter what I do I cannot get past the binding process. Nothing is working when I attempt to bind bones to an image to be able to move it. nothing online has provided any help.
after too much video i found on ytb, this is video i need
really interesting, and very useful. A thousand thanks.
Thank you! Your videos are really useful and you help me a lot! Waiting for a new exiting tutorials!
Happy to hear that! :)
best tutorial I've seen. thank you.
Thank you so much. it was easy to understand for me. best tutorial!
Thank you!! I've been strugled in the "bind" parts before watch your video😅
Thank you very much for the tutorial. I love how you explained it. I really want to see the second one! ;)
Thank you so much for your feedback! Working on the second part right now, and will release it in 1-2 days, so stay tuned! ;)
Switched from Spriter Pro to Spine and oh my gosh, loving Spine more. The skin mode in Spriter is buggy which is understandable since it’s experimental. But I can’t stand it because it doesn’t do what I wanted it to do. This tutorial is super helpful and I always refer to it. I just started using Spine too XD
So helpful! Thank you :) You motivate me to keep on going and not to give up
Thank you so much! It warms my heart to read that! :)
Thank you. This is a good tutorial
ILove you your tutorial style
Just discovered this channel and I love it

Thank you so much! Yes, I have a few ideas for new Spine tutorials. Just hope to find some time to create them soon! :)
Amazing tutorial this helped so much~~~
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! :)
Thank you!
i didn't understand the reason why you added the orange lines on the hair, arms and legs but not on the eye, mouth parts. What is the reason?
Also thank you for the video, your explanation style is very clear :)
thanks. awesome video.
Lol this lady with an accent is smart as well as funny!!
btw holarius charcater !!
I am 10 years old and I want to make stuff like this... One of the games I play is called meow playground created with spine, and I wish to create a spine game someday.
Best of luck to you Aubrey! I hope to play your game someday!
@@ThinkCitric Really? You will? :O
I'll send a link to my game when its finished :D
Thanks!!!
Thanks for this nice tutorial :)

thank youu ❤️
very helpful
pressing control does not do anything i think the software has been updated to where its a different button and now im stuck
is there a free alternative because it's too expensive!
Thank you so much!!!!
Glad it helped! :)
you are really really amazing
Looks like it is important to make points on shape symmetrically so on left and right you have same amount of points ?? {Like on 3D mesh} Actually it is a question not a statement but just want to make sure my thinking is logical. When you made center line and you start connecting across points i noticed that somehow you have same amount of points on left and right side. So when you create all points around the shape you are already calculating how place those points and how many ? You do not go around just click click click click click click click click ??
Thank you for the tutorial :D
Glad it helps! :)
Очень классно!!! Благодарю мадам! =))))
👍👍👍
Thank you for your perfect tutorials , Can you please teach me how and where to put Ik in horse character? I need it immediately
Damn... You have take more time to do this animation with this app than if you make it yourself by hand !
need more tutorial
Is there an iPad app with the same bones and rigging?
Thanks much! Where can I find this project PSD ?
When ever i click on the mesh its not bringing up the weights tab. can somebody help?
Is this tutorial still up to date and works with new spine version?
Is the character available somewhere so we can follow along?
hello. I seem to having a problem when using ctrl. I can't select the image when i'm holding ctrl when doing bones
Really amazing but I was wondering if I could create a mesh without the pro version?
Unfortunately, no. Meshes are one of the Pro version features, and they are not available in Essential. Well, there's also a Trial version if you want to try it out, but you can't save or export your project there.
@@ThinkCitric Yes I'm really dissapointed to hear this I really thought this is important to be able to make your character look more alive I might switch back to live2D thank you for replying!
can you please tell me from where i can get this character for practice
15:30, why i dont have pink point
Is there better software that lets you do this faster?
there is no mesh option when I click on the image file.
"I know it sounds complicated now" - Me attempting to create bones for my 25th time.
For the example when you bind the two bones to the arm mesh. The parent bone when I attempt to move it, the child doesn't move with it. Why is that?
5 months later I come back to this to try and make sense of it And guess what? My child bones still don't move when I move the parent bone. - Update: I had the Bone option "locked". For anyone who has the same issue as me.
how big should the illustration be if I'm making a mobile game? the character should cover almost the full screen. thanks!
Did this method works on jeson files because it is not showing mesh button to me
where can we download the example file so we can follow?
Do you know where to get the program? I’m struggling to find it 😅

Bones wont bind to the created mesh and alwasy flips the layer. Im losing my mind. Anyone lese got this problem?
How did you unhide those meshes? 6:33
I can't create or even see a mesh? Like I click the image the same way but there is no option to create a mesh? Do I need to download or am I missing something?
I'm also having problems rigging bones to specific layers, what do I do?
@@CodeSly Which version of Spine are you using? Is it Essential or Pro? Please keep in mind that meshes are available in Pro and Trial versions only.
@@ThinkCitric Seems I only have the essential version... Does that mean I can't properly use the bone tool because every tutorial I see uses the mesh tool when rigging and I can't seem to get the bones working properly
@@CodeSly you can use the bones with the essential version too. What you need to do, however, is to use only one bone per image. Linking two or more bones to an image will not have any effect in Essential version. Slice your character images into more images, if necessary.
BTW, we have a Udemy course focused on Spine Essential, it has 3 hours of video content and covers everything you need to get confident about character animation in Spine. Here it is:

Hope it helps! :)
I am using Spine 4 and I do not see how you made a mesh for an image. There is no Option. This is totally holding me back. Please help.
When you say the "left key", do you mean the left arrow key, or the mouse left key?
left mouse key :)
I need spine creak please give me link
can u provide the art ?
it will be helpful
Why not just not use spine and do the same exact thing in Blender for free?
Can you provide the project file?
look like moho animation
what's a "left key"?
*left mouse key
hindi voice video you can
Just tried it and none of the child bones will rotate with the parent bones.
It might be that you have the bones compensation turned on, it does exactly that. To fix that, you just need to make sure the "Bones" button in the toolbar below is not blue. Here's more about it: en.esotericsoftware.com/spine-tools#Compensation
plz show me a flag animation in easy way
wololo
Hi, what app do you use to draw the characters before exporting to Spine?
Hi, I personally like using Photoshop. But Spine is also compatible with After Effects, GIMP, Illustrator and Inkscape.
Why is this software so unnecasirly tedious just use character animator its so much easier
"holding the left key".... left key?
*left mouse key
Is this frr
can i use spine for free
There's a trial version that you can download for free, but you won't be able to save or export your project.
@@ThinkCitric its too expensive for a student like me
@@orkun441 use Dragonbones. It is a free program that has, more or less, the same tools as Spine. Personally i prefer Spine, but Dbones is an amazing free alternative.
@@milionST yes im using dragonbones right now 👍🏻
Be a pirate
What? She just jumps in idk what any of this stuff is? tutorial for beginners mean people who are beginning. Not people who already know.
lmao girl you skipped a giant step in the beginning... a tutorial for people who already know some of the basics not for beginners
I just want to be able to turn the image into multiple layers like you... i dont have photoshop
> "Make sure to create as few vertices as possible"
> Literally creates, like, a hundred verts for the hat portion
niggа what
