Had the exact same problem with makita drills twice. But when I used channel locks to get my bit out, it broke the chuck both times. Nice to see it didn't break the milwaukee. I took apart my makita and the chuck is literally mostly plastic....
Missed out vacuum cleaners and dust extraction (not quite the same thing). Just spent £80 on generic dust accessory for old 125mm grinder that sells for £60. Brilliant. Good for my lungs and wife's sense of tidying. Also small M-class hoover. Wish we'd had a different attitude to dust in the old days

I was a Dewalt user as well, until I fell in love with the Packout tool organizer this year. Had such an urge to just go red afterwards. 👀

Agree about the Milwaukee drill and driver. Best I've ever used whether mine or borrowed, though I haven't tried recent Makita. Wish all their gear was as good to use same batteries. They all mocked my first multitool but soon very jealous - more recent versions powerful enough to cut thick, hard timber.
Wish I'd spent more on a laser level when started on our house renovation project.
Have the same Dewalt sds, I’ve only been at it for a few years but the sds was handed down by the brother in law who’s been at it for 15 years or so, it’s absolute shite compared to the new ones but it’s a deadly little machine, batteries are bolloxed now so it’s gone into retirement but it will always have a special place in my heart 😂, just came across the channel brother loved the video, good shit man
Always been a Makita man myself but in the last couple of years I’ve been buying Milwaukee hand tools 🧰. Love them and if you shop around you can get some great deals

👍🏻 good video! That whole bit about the grinder needing a hot works permit is nuts, but that's commercial for you. Who needs common sense when you can have health and safety watching out for you.
Also the band saw saved me a bunch of time definitely worth the money.

Future tip, If your chuck gets stuck again, get an adjustable spanner and set it to the size of the bit thats stuck. Then tap it up and down on to the chuck teeth and it will release the bit! This works every time for me.
definitely agree on the ocilating saw it’s a must have. Most lads would laugh at you for having it but once they’ve used it they’ll never laugh at you again one of the handiest tools I’ve baught and I’m using the battery dewalt one and that’s coming from a plumber

Interesting video. Particularly interesting about the +/- 55v for the 110. I always assumed it was 0-110. Cheers John
yeah there is a potential difference of 55 volts between the live and earth and the neutral and earth, so if there is a fault you only come in contact with 55 volts. All done for safety on site.
Being a “Sparks” is a physical job for sure but it’s an awesome job !

I used the real Metabo hammer drills. My hearing went with those.

I switched from Dewalt to Milwaukee because I got a good deal on some Milwaukee tools. I have not been disappointed so far the M18 Fuel range is very good, love the hole hawg!

Our system is 120/240 volt single phase, the neutral is actually the grounded conductor, center tapped on the winding. That's why the potentials are what they are, 120 volts to ground and 240 volts (approximately depending on grid) across the winding.
quite similar to ours so, we have what's called a TNCS system "Terra Neutral Combined then Separated". Center tapped transformer which gives us 240 volts to 220 volts between live and ground depending on how far the house is from the transformer. then you can have either a 12KVA or a 16kva supply for domestic.
