It may because you don't have a strong resume, and or not listing things correctly. Sometimes these job offer sites are automated and you may not be hitting the keywords that trigger the systems for them to even get to you. You could send out 60 interviews and prob only get like 2-3 cuz of it. You 110% should have offers easily.
If it's for help desk itll definitely help. But I think having customer service skills is the most important thing. If you dont know much windows and you get the job you're going to become very knowledgeable very quickly.

Do you think age plays a role in jobs?
I do, sadly. Especially when you get to a certain age. Seems like it's more difficult to get jobs when you're much older.
