I've made four vase and canvas pours this week because of you ❤ I absolutely love what you've done and you inspired me to try it and I'm having a ball. I have worked with alcohol inks a lot and when I do them on wine cups or glass tumbler always put a thin layer of resin first the thin layer of resin then drop the alcohol inks on that helps them to move too. Just giving you that little idea if you want to try that. Looking forward to seeing your next one. Thank you so much for all you share and do
I love how this turned out, very delicate and pretty! I need to do it. lol, this happens a lot when I check out your videos. Just wanted to mention I LOVE my double split cup. Its amazing. Thanks for selling those :)
Love the Vase! One note - throughly shake your inks, especially older inks, before use .... you will then avoid the small dots of ink which never separated.
I love your videos. Everything you do is beautiful! I am new to this so I have a couple questions. Does the brand or price of the inks make a difference? When do you use the blending solution? When do you use mica powders? What do you use as a sealer? Thank you! More videos please.
Beautiful! I am new to this art and I was wondering what you sealed it with, and why do you sometimes use a powder? Did you use a blending solution? Thanks. I LOVE your videos!!
Turned out pretty. It's a shame about the blobs in the purple though. I've never used alcohol inks, so wondering why if it was dry it moved when you gave it the clear spray. Thanks
Love your work. Can you tell me where I might be able to get these kinds of vases? I see a number of people using them but haven’t been able to find them thanks for any help
@@CatherinethePaint in the US? I’m in Canada and in my area only have dollarama. I have checked ours and most of their vases are straight. I was hoping to find some like she is using. Thank you for your help
there are MANY places. I know Marcy and many others use and prefer StoneCoat's Art coat for doing these types of crafts. longer work time and maybe a max of 10%VOC's
Very pretty!! 💖Too bad you can't seal while adding the inks! But maybe applying the ink in the resin would get that affect. So mix inks in resin and drip on the vase?
I love your art and your videos. They have been helpful to me getting started with acrylic pouring for which I thank you. How big is your vase? I’m trying to find a cup turner for vases, but they all seem too small for the vases I found to use. Is the cup turner from Amazon in your description section the one you are using here?
That's gorgeous. Do you think the ink when gloopy because the alcohol was a lower percentage so it didn't spread like it would with a higher one? Thanks :)
ps it can come in glass or plastic containers. Glass containers usually have a dropper as part of the "lid" the plastic containers usually have a 'food color' type squirt/dropper
Try starting with a clear layer of resin first on the vase and right after you apply a layer of resin drip the alcohol ink on the resin and let it spread and turn until dry. See second half of the following video. th-cam.com/video/b3EmL14Lbn4/w-d-xo.html
Great job. " That little bit of runnyness" was part of my favorite areas!

I want to make one right this minute!!! Beautiful!!!
I love it! It's gorgeous!
Love it. It is beautiful. I have a number of glass vases that I shall try doing this process to make them a bit more unique and interesting.
Love it more after you sprayed it. Final product is gorgeous 😍
That it really, really pretty!

This is beautiful. Thank you so much. 👏👏👏
Hi marcy would just like to let you know that my split cup came yesterday yay !!
This stained glass look is awesome love 💘it 👏💚🌈
Yay!!! ❤❤❤
Love it, love your vases done in Acrylics, do you have a video on how you would resin a vase done in acrylics or would it be the same :)
What affect would it create if you sprayed alcohol on it before adding resin
Love the Vase! One note - throughly shake your inks, especially older inks, before use .... you will then avoid the small dots of ink which never separated.
What brand of sealer please?
Can this be done with a votive candle holder? As in, is it safe for flameable material inside the glass?

That is beautiful! I am new to this and wondering if your torching is the same as using another heat source like a hair dryer. Can you please clarify.
A torch is fire, which is over 1000 degrees. A hair dryer is maybe around 100 degrees, so they would not be comparable
Hi, how do you call the tool that makes your vase turn please? TIA
According to ATD you should use a matte spray to seal. Good job!

Neat!

Does alcohol ink come in a bottle?

I get vases at dollar stores and at resell shops. 💖🥰💖
dollar stores are a GREAT place to find them...

Dollar Tree
@@MixedMediaGirl I wondered. I just love that store we don’t have one in my city anymore in Canada and our dollarama doesn’t compare. Thanks
Great❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Where do I buy resin?

Pretty. Almost looks like Sally’s dress! (Nightmare before Christmas)
Can I ask which video is the "resin on the vase first, then apply the alcohol inks". Im really interested in seeing that. :) Thanks for sharing.

Love this! Do you keep the turner going until it's dry?
yes

I am 90% sure this turner is in her link in the description...
I got a turner from Amazon and it came with a selection of ‘bungs’ to fit most apertures 🦆💕
That's gorgeous. Do you think the ink when gloopy because the alcohol was a lower percentage so it didn't spread like it would with a higher one? Thanks :)
No, I think it's just older bottles. And I'm usually pretty terrible about closing my bottles fully, lol
Fun!!! Fun! Fun! 💖🥰💖
Or is it just ink in a bottle?
it is alcohol ink that is purchased pre mixed... it can be found at Michael's and JoAnn as well as NUMEROUS online stores...
