I'd just like to say a big thanks for all your content over the years. I wonder how many people have learnt Boom Boom from your video, I know I'm one. Feel is so important!
One of the first songs I learned was from your lesson of Shout. It’s a perfect song to learn on because it is simple to get but there are layers of strum and timbre to learn on, all in your lesson.
A great fan of you! but I know i am not filling your tip-jar sadly because I really am not able to. (boys need to eat here), but I always recommend people to go to you for correctly learning playing the guitar. This is just one of them in a huge line of great videos! Thank you as always Lee John! you are a masterpiece yourself!
Not seen you before, I got a lot from this. The last song is unfamiliar but love the sound of the chords. Can you list the chords so I can look them up somewhere. Thanks for the inspiration to move forward.
Nice work . The " fly me 2 the moon chords " are used in hundreds of songs , but whats interesting is sometimes its hard to spot them , the brain tends to lock onto the melody and disguise the building blocks , but then thats what makes songs interesting , i expect musicians who really understand whats going on harmonically get bored very quickly ?
Indeed. But far from bored! Just look at the blues, those 3 chords still holding strong even in modern rock. It’s not the tool, it’s what you do with it.
Nice one LJ. It does make me laugh that Henley blocks everything, Ian Anderson doesn’t…. Maybe you could do a lesson on We Used to Know by Jethro Tull. Cheers.
Hey Lee, stumbled over your channel yesterday as I was brushing up on a couple of acoustic songs I learned a while ago. Hilariously, I can already play the last few songs, but having somehow never learned the first one before, it took me a few minutes to get that strumming pattern down!!! What a good one to get us playing and learn something. Great content and super instruction, thanks a lot!
Hey John , id like to ask you i see u always play with the taylor , would u recomend to me to buy a taylor 214ce? Im looking and played the guitar , im not a profi but i can play okey and id like to upgrade my guitar in a 1000€ range , or would u recomend some other guitar like martin or idk ? Id love to hear your opinion , becouse u are my most wached yt guitarist, thank you , nice greetings from croatia , and would love to hear your versions of jeff buckley lover you should have come over and forget her ❤
Thanks brother, honestly I’ve never played a 214ce and rarely visit guitar stores, also I can only comment on what I like in a guitar tone and what works for me. That won’t be the same for you. A lot of people ask me similar questions but it’s very much horses for courses. What I will say is, know what you want and seek it out by trying a lot of guitars. When buying any guitar I’ll always have a clear idea of what I’m looking for, if you don’t then it’s just pot luck. Happy seeking! All the best! LJ
My reply. What makes you a PRO? When people enjoy listening to your music and are willing to pay for their experience, PERIOD. You can be the most prolific guitarist/performer that your audience doesn’t like and no one is going to pay for it. A true challenge is to perform on a street corner busking and see how big your audience is, and how much money they tip.

I really enjoyed this lesson. Thanks. I haven't picked up my guitar in a long time. I'm inspired by the Jamiroquai progression.

Well, I’m a big fan now!

I thought the first one was David Brent on the desert freeway? 😂

What! You mean you really teach that?
Yeah
