We never thought we’d be doing a room makeover with such a specific and cool theme but here we are!! Gabi Demartino asked us to help her decorate her new bedroom with a vintage ship / Pirates of the Carribean / Jack sparrow meets Elizabeth Swan vibe and we think we totally rose to the occasion! Even if you don’t want to fully commit to this theme, you can draw inspiration from this makeover to add pops of pirate to your bedroom!

Ask Yaya Nikki and again are currently working on a film set. I believe they were hired for a TH-cam red series. Not every TH-camr has this. It’s typically an office if they work outside their home

@@laurielaf8849 I think it’s because she started thrifting and buying vintage clothing like Niki. I remember when she used to make disgust faces when niki was buying retro/vintage clothing for a video. But now she’s liking the style too lol. In one of their videos, gabi said “I think our styles are coming together” or sum like that.
At first I was like "I'm not sure about this theme" but then the execution had me like 😶😶😮😮
I cringed when I read the title, I thought this theme would look so tacky, like a child's bedroom or a themed restaurant. I was honestly so wrong! It looks so dramatic and yet utterly tasteful. Really great work, and really shows how talented you are, everyone associates you with the same boho tons of plants style (which I love) but you both clearly are incredibly talented, imaginitive and versatile. I also loved this format, I like Style Select but I do think it pits you against each other whereas it's really satisfying seeing you work together. But yeah, this is maybe my favourite project you've done!

Thank goodness something different and interesting I'm so tired of every single home decor/home makeover channel using the same neutral tones, gold hardware, with one jewel-toned or bright color as the "pop of color", every single home makeover I've seen on every home decor channel looks the same except for like 3 videos and I'm so bored.

Love it or hate it, it’s just so nice to see you guys working with different themes and color pallets recently. Not everyone wants all white and gold, jute macrame, and succulents (not that there’s anything wrong with wanting that, it just gets old when it’s the same vibe in every space in every video). It’s refreshing to see something fun and different. Proud of you!

not going to lie, personally it is not my style but it did turn out amazing. I was surprised that Gabi chose a room more dark themed because she's known to have girly rooms but with her style changing and her & Collin being obsessed with the renaissance fair I feel like this is perfect for the two of them!
I love how y'all branch out and do different styles all the time! It takes a seriously good interior designer to have more than just their "signature" look. Seriously, you two are so talented.

When I saw the thumbnail I was afraid it would be a bit cheesy. However this was so well done it’s hard not to appreciate, even if it’s not your type.

You gotta love these twins because both times they requested unique styles that weren't the same old minimalist/white/scandi/mid-century-modern that everyone else likes which made for super interesting videos
This is my favorite room makeover you have ever done, aside from the cottagecore one. I got a lot of inspiration from that one when making my room over. I do like a flair for adventure and drama so I am totally going to make some of your DIY projects from this one.
I know this is what she wanted but this style ngl is tough for me. I think (personally!!!) without the fishnet on the ceiling (lol) and maybe white walls with the dark shiplap instead of the blue wallpaper it would feel really elegant and chic instead of so themed (which I realize is what Gabi wanted). I'm surprised at how well you guys were able elevate a kind of cheesy theme. That bed is amaaazing.

I thought I was going to hate it when she was describing her style. But it is awesome!!! I think the netting needs to come down because it’s too 2019 for a Victorian era room with the twinkle lights. But the bed, bedding and lamps are amazing.

The wooden "plates" you used for the mirrors are called chargers, they sit underneath real plates when you set a table.

Fav themed room by you guys. Love POTC. Your decor and diys are totally easy to replicate and modify. Its not super expensive nor did it require carpentry skills like many makeovers seem to. Great video!!!

@@marianapadilha4299 I personally don't like it because if you are going to go with such a specific vintage theme you should commit more. They didn't have plastic blend curtians back then so some quality fabrics would be nice. Also I don't think wicker was used with that style of decorating. And piracy was on the decline when queen Victoria was coronated so in a historical sense it should have been Georgian which was influenced by ancient Greece and looks quite different.

OMG! I've been dreaming of a studio/office/guest room combo that looks like a theatre backstage/dressing room (but maybe a bit more futuristic: think Cirque du Soleil adapts the Cyborg Manifesto) but I wasn't sure how to pull it off. This might be leaning a little too thematic for me but knowing that y'all can work with a style like this gives me some hope and some great ideas! Please do more :D
