I have a 2289 that I enjoy shooting, its truly an all around practical air pistol/carbine. Thanks for sharing 👍

I got a tko22 several years ago which is still awesome today but I have been shopping around for another in 1/2-20. I know TKO22 makes them but Buck Rail checks off many different boxes. I appreciate the comparison at the end. Thank you!

Thanks! I like how that Buck Rail silencer can be used on any of my Crosman guns with the 7/16” barrel diameter. I keep being surprised by how well the silencer quiets down my air guns.

I had no idea a power adjuster like that existed! Good to get a look at the Drifter, I've been almost living outside on my days off lately. Thinking how viable it'd be to actually well, drift with the Drifter haha. Got my lightweight sleep system, then with a food getting system I could be out for who knows how long.

The Drifter is a fun gun to shoot. I don’t understand why they charge so much for it though? It really like the size and how light and handy it is.

@@airgunsofalaska It does seem a little steep but it also looks unique, now that I look at it more. Weight is impressive, gets more power than the 1322 pistol. I found your scout rifle video again that helps! I've been taking the 760 Pumpmaster with bbs a lot for camping just cus it's convenient but I could use a better camp air gun.

    • @airgunsofalaska

@@yoitired For camping the Drifter seems like it’d be desirable from the perspective that it can be quickly and easily broken down into two pieces. The stock has a quick release making the gun easy to stow in a backpack. But, if you like shooting BB’s than the Drifter isn’t capable of that. I just looked at the Crosman site and it appears that the new 1377 isn’t listed as shooting BB’s. They must’ve changed that at some point since the 80’s? My 1377 can shoot both and the probe has a magnetic tip to prevent the BB from rolling down the barrel.

@@airgunsofalaska Thanks definitely good to know, having an easily removable stock seems pretty unique for an airgun. I'd go with .22 pellet if I was trying to actually get game for food, but bbs are nice cus of being lead free and I don't have to obsess about having it on my hands, wiping it on my clothes, contaminating food etc. At least we're not being forced to go lead free like the Brits, poor bastards!

I watched a new video on that gun recently and they talked more about the features that weren’t advertised well. It is a very nice gun. I’m hoping they come out with a regular version that features the wood stock & steel breech. I’d buy one if they keep the price reasonable.

Was doing some research and came across your video. I built a pistol for my younger brother in the beginning of the year and was gonna give him my williams noched reat sight. The problem is that his gun has a newer threaded TKO moderator on it with no front sight. I was looking at the older videos of the Truglo universal slip on sights but the TKOs on those old videos look thinner in diameter. The info of the universal truglow front sight says it fits a 12 guage. I measured my Remington 870 and the barrel is way thicker than the older slip on TKOs. I'm guessing that they used double stick tape to make it stay. With no clear info, I decided to take a chance and test to see if that front sight works better with the thicker threaded TKO. It's in the mail. Fingers crossed. I'll let you know if it works out. 😂👍

Update: The Truglo front sight still fits. It's more snug due to the larger diameter of the newer threaded TKO. It's probably better for stability too. 👍

I just got my crossman drifter put together. I can’t tell if mines not made right or not but my shoulder stock slightly wiggles back and forth not firmly clicking in snug once I install it. Does yours click in and stay snug?

Sorry about the late reply, YT didn’t give me a notification. No, mine was wiggly as well.

I have the same one on my 2289, and it chronies 8-10 fps more with it. Its also more accurate. I think on the less than 8 fpe stuff esp co2, they make a huge difference. Just my experience..😊

What do you do with the support inside the silencer?

    • @airgunsofalaska
      @airgunsofalaska  ปีที่แล้ว

There are no separate parts to the silencer. It’s a one piece, 3-D printed unit.

Hi this is t2bkk in Bangkok Thailand and I am Japanese.
It is nice airgun, isn't it? I have Crosmam .117 short pistol version only,
so long barrel must be nice.

You should get a long barrel rifle if you can they are quite nice.

      Hi from Alaska,
I do like the longer barrel it comes with both from the aesthetic point of view and performance aspect. With the longer barrel the 2289 becomes a nice little carbine that is fun to shoot. Sounds like you’ve got a 1377? I have one of those and really like it.

I bet TKO could make you something that works for Maximus without interference.

    • @airgunsofalaska

That’s good to know it might be a possibility. I’ve got more testing and tuning to do with the power adjuster. Ideally, if I find the setting that reduces the noise, increases my shot count and delivers excellent and consistent accuracy I don’t think I’ll be wanting to use the silencer for shooting in my yard.
