Truly is a shame, a game with so much love and passion put into it but executed in such a poor way to the point where you deeply want more out of it but it will never come.
FNAF World was one of those games that had a rough beginning, but it’s like wine 🍷. The older it is, the better it is. I was skeptical about playing it because of the negative feedback it received, but I decided to play it out of curiosity. My only regret, is that I didn’t play it sooner. It was goofy, creepy, and enjoyable at the same time. While I do understand why people didn’t like it, I still loved it. The idea that FNAF World would make a comeback isn’t a bad idea. I am excited to see how it would play out, and hopefully it won’t end up the same way the first did. We even got an official FNAF game that’s called “FNAF Fighters (I believe)”. It’s similar to FNAF worlds combat, and uses the similar gameplay mechanics. Overall, I’m excited to see where it’ll go from here. 😱😀👍
I feel like the reason why it got so many negative reviews is because when Scott first released the game it was super buggy and the overworld wasn't even 3D yet despite the trailer and he was charging quite a steep price just for an RPG spinoff game plus some people were obviously annoyed that it wasn't horror as well, sure nowadays its alot polished and really fun to play but when it first came out it wasn't so the game got review bombed.
Honestly, I love World for I am a bit of a sucker for RPGs and the cute charm and visuals of the game makes it stand out. All the characters look like cute toy versions of their actual animatronic versions. The game has so many moments that gives you a good chuckle and laughs. I honestly wish the game was given better reception back then during the initial launch as it makes me wonder if the game would've lived on for a bit longer or how the series over all would've been impacted. I do hope FNaF World could be revisited again in the future. Heck, maybe expanded upon like Scott wanted. I could imagine a grander adventure for Freddy and Friends in a much bigger world with side quests, collectibles, various endings, etc. Maybe one thing that players could unlock are skins for characters like the ones from AR and such. Makes me wonder how the AR skins would look like in the FNaF World style with ones such as VR Toy Freddy, Chocolate Bonnie, Dark Water Endo, etc. Even if we don't get an exact FNaF World Game in modern day officially, I'd be happy with that board game that came out and hope to see more series come out for it as it did mention that it was Series 1. Like imagine getting more merch in this game of other characters like the Withereds, the Nightmares, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, the Update 2 Characters, VR skins, Various Enemies, and maybe even some bosses too for a special thing added to the game like a boss character that would have their own mystery packs containing ones like Bouncer, Animdude, Chipper's Revenge, and even..... Chica's Magic Rainbow despite how annoyingly hard it is to fight them from what I've seen. It would be a nice way to keep FNaF World alive to this day and can give many needed characters some first time merch like how Redbear of all things got an official figure. It gives hope for more characters. I'd love to see how Funko translate them into figure and art form.
Huh, I realized how different the 3D world still kinda looks when compared to the trailer. The trees looked more naturally clustered in the latter, while in the former, they're kinda set in a grid. I'd argue that would work better for the 8-bit look of the first release, but hey, who am I to complain.
I'm gonna be honest. phantom Freddy was in my main roster for the entire game I had him. as his debuffs were so useful that every time I got rid of him I started dying
Having a character that is solely based on debuffs sounds useful, but the debuffs themselves were ineffective at times. I tried putting him in my party multiple times, never worked out sadly.

Y’know, the criticisms aside, FNaF World introduced a lot of mainstay and iconic stuff in the series. We finally got original music done by now series regular Leon Riskin, and it was the first game to give the little robots a voice. Sure, new music and voice acting (other than Scott) was going to eventually be added, but it’s neat to see these first pop up in a “spinoff game.”

For example, Funtime Foxy like Spring Bonnie has Happy Jam 2 & Cosmic Song, but instead of Springlocks, Funtime Foxy has Gift Boxes, which is much more useful if you don't self-ban it. Funtime Foxy is also 9 times more likely to be found than Spring Bonnie in Pinwheel Funhouse, and that doesn't take into consideration that Funtime Foxy can be found in the glitch area (Albeit rarely, although still more common than Spring Bonnie in Pinwheel Funhouse.) unlike Spring Bonnie. What the mentioned moves does for people who are unaware: Happy Jam 2 - Powerful healing for alive members of current party Cosmic Song - Storm of high damage attacks that can target all targets Gift Boxes - Auto-resurrects party members that die/have died Springlocks - "Maximum" damage to one target + area damage to other targets possibly You could also make arguments for 2 or 3 other characters being better than Spring Bonnie (Without taking encounter probability into account.), which is why I wouldn't be surprised if someone ranked Spring Bonnie out of the top 3.
This reminds me of Zelda 2 which was not well received by fans either and Miyamoto says creating it was his biggest regret. So Scott should take comfort that he is in VERY good company
Even if we never get another FNAF world update, I'd still love Scott to make another rpg like he hinted at in the Dawko interview. I think it'd be really fun to see him try something outside of FNAF again. HIs other games weren't exactly successful but they have a unique charm

I love turn-based RPGs, so FNAF World was right up my alley! Getting to play as all those beloved FNAF characters is very fun, and a sequel will add double or even triple the playable characters! My only real complaints were the ATB combat system (That's a personal issue. Too much pressure.) and that the game was, and still is, fairly buggy. Even FNAF World Redacted, a fan "patch" (it's its own separate game), has its fair share of bugs. I don't know if it's Clickteam Fusion's fault or not, but I'd still like to see the sequel move to Unity or Unreal.
I'm not afraid to love this game, it's the one that has brought me the most joy of all the classic FNaF Games. If anything comes out related to FNaF World, my life belongs to the dev team!

I hate that people FOR SOME REASON expected that FNAF World would be like the other games. In the INITIAL TRAILER it was presented as what it is. A silly RPG with FNAF characters. You can't expect anything from it.

Fnaf world 2 would make me the happiest man in the world. I played this game when I was a kid and I loved it. I still play to this day, and I’ve actually become such an expert that it is unhealthy 😆
There’s an unofficial remaster that improves on a lot of aspects of the game. I recommend it to play and it’s the best version to play. I’m talking about the Reacted Version on Gamejolt.

To sum it up at first no one liked or gave the game a chance because it was so much different but as time went on more and more people tried and loved it including my self
FNAF World is so scuffed, I adore it, I have well over 100 hours of gameplay into it and today I finished a 2500 difficulty (1250 times harder than hard mode) run for fun, if I have the time I could sit my ass down and play fnaf world vanilla and enjoy it _Except for Freddy In Space. I'm an atheist, but if there is a hell, Freddy In Space will burn for eternity_
It has it's problems, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't vibe with it. Main thing of note for me is, it could do with another outing. Look at Fallout New Vegas: It's a literally unfinished game, and fans have been hoping for it to get a remake giving it everything that didn't make the cut, for what may as well be ages now. Scott clearly wasn't happy with how FNAF World turned out from the get-go, and it feels like his ambition may have outstripped him a bit... So, why not give it another go? Take more time, give it more polish, flesh out the ideas a bit more, make it the ideal the game ultimately didn't end up as. Just a thought.
Nm I want scott to make a full on turn based rpg and make freddy fazbear the super boss. There would be no other fnaf references just the very difficult superboss.
I feel like much of the (mainstream) hate this game got was specifically because the fnaf franchise was seen as concluded after the release of fnaf 4, leaving many fans perplexed as to why all of a sudden the franchise is going into a completely different direction in its art style and gameplay. If fnaf world was deemed "not canon" by scott, I'm certain it would've had much less backlash (at least when it comes down to the wider audience, the complaints on gameplay were completely justified).

One of my favorite moments from my FNaF World experience was beating the life out of Scott with Withered Bonnie on my team.

Throughout the years I loved more FNaF world.
It's fun custom difficulty (in save file) and I could play with overpowered Ballon Boy.

I hate that people FOR SOME REASON expected that FNAF World would be like the other games. In the INITIAL TRAILER it was presented as what it is. A silly RPG with FNAF characters. You can't expect anything from it.

To sum it up at first no one liked or gave the game a chance because it was so much different but as time went on more and more people tried and loved it including my self

I feel like FNAF world is a great game and a fun game to play, but Scott just fumbled the bag with the release.
FNAF World is so scuffed, I adore it, I have well over 100 hours of gameplay into it and today I finished a 2500 difficulty (1250 times harder than hard mode) run for fun, if I have the time I could sit my ass down and play fnaf world vanilla and enjoy it

It has it's problems, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't vibe with it. Main thing of note for me is, it could do with another outing. Look at Fallout New Vegas: It's a literally unfinished game, and fans have been hoping for it to get a remake giving it everything that didn't make the cut, for what may as well be ages now. Scott clearly wasn't happy with how FNAF World turned out from the get-go, and it feels like his ambition may have outstripped him a bit... So, why not give it another go? Take more time, give it more polish, flesh out the ideas a bit more, make it the ideal the game ultimately didn't end up as.
Just a thought.

Nm I want scott to make a full on turn based rpg and make freddy fazbear the super boss. There would be no other fnaf references just the very difficult superboss.
I feel like much of the (mainstream) hate this game got was specifically because the fnaf franchise was seen as concluded after the release of fnaf 4, leaving many fans perplexed as to why all of a sudden the franchise is going into a completely different direction in its art style and gameplay.
If fnaf world was deemed "not canon" by scott, I'm certain it would've had much less backlash (at least when it comes down to the wider audience, the complaints on gameplay were completely justified).
