So gonna pin this comment here for anyone with frequently asked comments over the last few days! Q1. How could William be springlocked after FNAF 1 if the room is sealed when Phone Guy is still alive? A1. Here's a TH-cam Short I made on the subject: th-cam.com/video/YoQ47sr2qss/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheUnwitheredTruth Q2. Baby's Lines mean the springlock was used for nefarious purposes A2. Maybe? I toyed with the idea that Afton got the springlocks intentionally decommissioned, but struggled a bit with the reasoning. Not 100% on what it would be if she did mean to imply that, but regardless, my point is that the fact there's a springlock in a game named Sister Location - a title which comes from a tape about springlocks, means, in my mind, the only reasonable explanation is that Scott wanted to answer the question we had from FNAF 3. Q3. Do you believe in WillCare? William doesn't care about his kids. A3. I don't believe in WillCare - just based on the way Scott has described his intentions with the story, I don't think his intention is to make Afton a "tragic" figure, even if that means a more complex story. I believe that (if Dave does indeed die first as I suggested here) then William wants Henry's family to be as broken as his. It's a choice made out of spite of Henry, rather than grief or love for his children. If there are more I see frequently asked/commented I'll make sure to add them. Thanks for over 100k views!
For the 2nd one a theory I heard is that William use the spring lock suit to get rid of the evidence for Elizabeth’s death. When Elizabeth died William did not wanting to bring suspicion to the funtimes So he made it look like Elizabeth was killed by the springlocks Hence the whole “ at least not the way it was meant to be used” and baby connections/knowledge of it
This is definitely one of my favorite theory videos. But there's a contradiction in the last segment. If Dave died first, couch person from MM would have to be the mom, so she should be present during the fnaf 4 minigames, looking after the kids
I always took the "not the way it was meant to be used" as "they hid bodies in it." Because, you know, wearing the suit at all (either to entertain guests or to kill kids) would be using it for the purpose it was made for: to be worn when not in animatronic mode. So I don't think the "nefarious purposes," as addressed in this comment, are the thing that needs to be debunked.
@@Pikza203 A theory that goes around is that she divorced Afton and didn't want any form of contact with him (even through their kids) or has unalived herself after losing custody of her children. This could've been before Michael started to bully Dave. Because Afton would rarely be home because of the launch (or rising fame) of Fredbear's and couldn't care less to hire a babysitter, he'd leave his children alone in the house, which would make Michael the responsible one since he was already a teenager.
I like the point you make on remembering first and foremost that this is Scott trying to tell a story rather than create an intricate history lesson with no room for error. As a writer myself I agree it's the best way to view this series and remain at least somewhat sane.
Knowing from what can glean from Scott in his not so abundant online presence, I think he is first and foremost a storyteller and a far second puzzle maker (Sorry Scott lol). With his personality in mind, it makes sense why everything about FNAF "doesn't seem to fit quite nicely" because yeah, it really wouldn't. I bet you Scott never really intended for FNAF to be an epic and yet here it is shaping up to be one. You could even argue that it already is one. So, boops and bopss here and there was bound to crop and there is only so much Scott can do and think ya know? So, FNAF is definitely more story-driven than puzzle-driven.
I've been on a huge kick lately of being less obsessed with lore and worldbuilding and logical details, and more on the ideas and themes within stories. I think that a lot of modern franchises are leaning too far into the logical details, this idea of one consistent lore, and that modern audiences are being trained to see things through that lens when really, that's kind of a recent approach to storytelling in the grand scheme of things. In older stories, the details didn't matter - the ideas did, and what those ideas were trying to share were more important than any of the inconsistencies.
@@Mega-Brick I got that kick too, for the past 3 years and it's been weird. Lore can be fun but one of the problems is that there is always a limit, whether it's how much the author can write, or if viewers are looking too deep into something like the ending in FNAF 1 with the termination paper meaning anything other than Scott just joking. The biggest problem I had, which started the kick for me with Attack on Titan, was everyone being more focused on arguing the small details instead of how the story will go, or like you mentioned the ideas and themes within the story. It's nice when there are things behind a story but the story itself should have meaning and be enjoyable on its own. If you wanna see a prime example of a story's lore conflicting with the themes of the story itself, check out Killzone and the debate on whether the Helghast were actually the bad guys, the developers intended for it to be nuanced but a lot of fans put a spin on it that gets a little tense...
@@BluuZombie I blame the rise of CinemaSins and other professional nitpickers, at least to an extent. "Why didn't Frodo just fly to Mt Doom on an eagle?" should never have become an actually serious genre of questions. In general, I think it helps to recontextualise any lore discussions as less of an "archeology paper" and more storytelling in it's own right. Yes, when making a theory you're still sticking to an overarching narrative as told by Scott or some other creator, but that narrative usually just consists of individual data points that you have to connect. Like a large paint-by-numbers puzzle with most of the numbers missing. And the focus on finding The One True Way to connect all the dots, I think, is a bit unfortunate, because there likely isn't one in the first place. Instead the fun lies in telling your own story within the confines of the lore. But as long as most people are more interested in definitively "solving" the lore - or watching Game Theorists solve it - that will always be the dominant way in which people approach these games: Like Scott is an omniscient puzzle maker who plucks events from a fully formed and consistant history that we just have to piece back together.
I really appreciate how the newest theories, like this one, are detangling the web of madness and showing this story to be way more straightforward - and the characters way more down-to-earth - than we've previously treated them. I feel like we're in the 'clean-up' phase of FNaF theorizing right now.
I love matpat's theories and all, but he had a serious tendency to just grab onto his first impressions, ridiculous as they may be, and just not let go until they crumble to dust. At which time, he's too far behind to actually see what he missed out on. Looking at you, Purple Phone guy. I think this is what led to the story seeming more convoluted than it is. Though, it is still pretty convoluted.
In its defense, Glitch Afton actually made sense post Help Wanted and pre Security Breach but yeah it's refreshing to see new theories like this @dinoguy163
Boy, we really were in need of that. It's another reason for me to enjoy the movie a lot actually - it's not unnecessarily complicated, and the story flowed rather well. It wasn't perfect, not at all, but still, had a good time with it.
You and withered circle came out of nowhere and started making the most realistic/precise and unbiased theories of all fnaf theorists, this was cinema again.
THANK YOU holy mother of god I seriously think the "two lights" in GF's mask is the single biggest oversight from the community, it very VERY clearly isn't two lights and that throws off so much assumed implications.
If it was meant to be just one, they couldve easily edit the image to dim out the one light, or the others would have the reflection too. They chose not to do this for some weird reason..
The odor and tampering with the animatronics was a meta joke. You were tampering with the animatronics by changing their AI level and the game just said you were a sweatlord gamer for beating 4/20 mode
I hadn’t thought about this, do you think Scott could’ve seen the community take it as lore and played into it a little? Or it still remains just a joke
@@NiloQuest Clearly it wasn't meant as a lore hint at the time, but it's completely possible that further down the line it was made into one. Most of this game's lore was made up by Scott as he went from game to game. I mean, at first it was 5 kids - 5 animatronics but then it turned out there were six and apparently another 5 and then some on the side and that one in Freadbear's - you see where I'm going. Scott isn't a good storyteller, and surely he doesn't have a solid explenation for everything. He just went with the flow and intnetionally kept things very vague so that the small inconsistensies remain largely irrelevant in the grand scheme of the story or so that the debate keeps on going refusing to let the franchise die
There's also the point another theorist brought up is that no one would hire a corpse, and if the remnant healed him then he wouldn't smell like a corpse anymore in the first place
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT OUT LOUD: FNAF should be treated as Scott writing a story, not fitting puzzle pieces together to form a whole. I always viewed FNAF this way, as it makes the most logical sense and it helps explain the confusing points in the games. I'm so happy that sister location was placed after fnaf 1 because I never thought it made sense for it to take place before FNAF 1. This video is outstanding at explaining the meaning behind Scott's writing choices, while also giving unbiased evidence that the games AND the silver eyes trilogy gives us. I was always confused on why the funtime animatronics would exist before the MCI, but this video helped explain why it does make sense and helps fuel William's motivation. This suggests that William was always into the supernatural and had a thing for science since the beginning, not just because of his ego being so high that he wanted to ruin Henry's life and reputation. I 100% agree with this take and I'm so glad you explained the quiet parts out loud. It all makes sense and I'm shocked we missed the sister location connection from FNAF 3.
Well, stories are still criticized for having plot holes and inconsistencies. So why can’t those criticisms be said about the FNAF lore? Clearly Scott didn’t know the story from beginning to end and was only making the story as he was developing each next game. Which comes plot holes and inconsistencies. I don’t agree with blaming the fans for giving constructive criticism
@@ki11aqueen5 oh of course! I agree that FNAF can be criticized, especially since there’s been a lot of issues over the years with trying to tell the story. Yeah Scott never knew from the beginning what he was doing and had to write the story on the spot, hence why there’s so many inconsistencies if he couldn’t draft it out first from the beginning. Makes sense for him to change things up if they don’t fit his vision, but at the same time it’s led to a lot of problems with the games and how the story is being told. I definitely agree that it wasn’t done in the best way and I don’t think blaming fans for criticism is the best either
@@phantommoon11 Everyone during FNAF 4 coming out: *Going crazy over Dream Theory* Scott: Hey guys, here's another hint, who are the nightguards in all three of the games? Matpat: Oh! It's Crying Child who's dreaming everything from FNAF 1-3! Scott: *Makes Sister Location, literally a second into the game, it shows you were playing as Mike this whole time* Everyone: Ohhhh... Scott: Seriously guys, thought the reverse FNAF 1 phone call made it obvious. Everyone: We thought that was just an easter egg that didn't mean anything. Scott: *Facepalms* even after I told you that I didn't put any easter eggs in it? *Sighs* man, this is why I love you guys ♥
That is by far the most cohesive story line ive ever heard out of a fnaf theory video, especially the call back to him in the books, i think thats the best we're going to get for a long while
Seriously, that line from William on why he killed the OG 5 kids in the books universe blew my mind (I am not much of a book reader so that's why), and people just ignored that info like it's nothing cause "oh books in different universe than games", if it weren't for the books, we wouldn't have found out half the names of these characters or have any idea on how the supernatural works in this franchise, I love how the FNAF community is so focused on analyzing and trying to piece together every little detail they find like a jigsaw puzzle, they forget the story aspect of it all, and miss the things that are right in front of us, like Henry straight up telling us William kept rickrolling and never giving up on using the MCI kids for his own sick experiments, Willy slaughtering 5 innocent children for freaking science, after being inspired by his own daughter accidentally getting captured by Baby and crushed to death inside her, is absolutely insane bruh.
No it's not. YOU WERE WRONG ABOUT THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN FNAF 3 SISTER LOCATION TAPES AND THE FNAF 5 SISTER LOCATION. SCOTT SAID THAT FNAF 3 WAS THE LAST GAME. THEN HE REBOOTED IT FIRST WITH FNAF 4. THEN REBOOTED THE FRANCHISE AGAIN WITH FNAF 5/ SL. IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE. SCOTT DIDN'T EVEN THINK HE WOULD MAKE A 5TH GAME WHILE HE MENTIONED SISTER LOCATION IN FNAF 3. YOU WERE WRONG, THERE'S NO CONNECTION AT ALL. IT'S JUST A DUMB COINCIDENCE.
26:39 If Michael is actually talking to William, i.e. Diegetic. Then it would be a phone call. There are other ways for Michaels monologue to be diegetic, maybe its Michael talking to himself, maybe its Michael rehearsing what he will say to his father
Theories aside, I really want to give credit and appreciation to the way you present information in your videos. It's very clean, clear and just fun. Like editing the Fredbears poster to be covered in blood, the logos for Baby's Pizza World and Rental, the animation of Withered Freddy going insane bc of the theory - great stuff
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you like the different art assets, I got sick of trying to comb through fan art and graphic novels to find some piece of official art that matched what I was talking about so I said why not just do it myself

I think its absolutely criminal that I haven't seen a SINGLE theorist talk about or review your theories. Maybe I'm missing them but I cant find a single vid for either of them.
I would love to see some of the bigger FNAFtubers taking a look at the video! Every like, comment, and share helps so I appreciate it! If there's anyone in particular you'd wanna see cover it I'd send it to them directly. I'd do it but I don't wanna self-promo too hard ;)
23:45 thank you so much for finally pointing it out, now i just need someone to point out that it's not gone in the good ending, just obscured in darkness and i'll be so damn happy

@@Gemma1006just because he wasn't planning on making a 5th game at the time he made 3 doesn't mean that he can't connect Sister Location to 3 retroactively, that's how sequels work, even if they aren't planned in advance things from sequels tend to connect to previous installments. Scott wouldn't have gone on to make a game called Sister Location if it wasn't meant to the be connected to the only previous mention of a Sister Location. Also neither fnaf 4 or SL is a reboot. A reboot is when you restart the story from scratch, 4 and SL are sequels, Scott didn't start the story over with either of them, there are still connections to the previous games, and if they were "reboots" as you say then none of the games after them would reference things from the games before those two if they were meant to be the start of a brand new story, but, Fnaf 6 and the games after directly include things from fnafs 1-3 so idk where you got this "reboot" idea from, unless you have no clue what that word actually means.
@Superlazerninja12 My point still stands. I meant that fnaf 4 and SL weren't supposed to be made. Just because Scott mentioned a sister location in FNAF 3, that doesn't mean that when he was working on a fifth one by the same name, he was gonna connect it. It wouldn't make sense in universe. And it's the most dumbest excuse ever. Why do y'all keep defending Scott like this? He isn't some typa God who's amazing at writing? Again, a game of the same name (SL) that wasn't even supposed to exist with something mentioned earlier in the franchise obviously has no connections. The connections to fnaf 3 SL and fnaf SL is at the same level of absurdity and inaccuracy as Matpat's past theories😭
finally someone cleared up the fnaf 3 ending with the lights (23:50). It's bothered me so much when theorists try to use it to say golden freddy has two souls, because by that logic chica has 2 or 3 souls (why is a soul in her mouth? not enough eyes?) and freddy has 2 as well.
7:54 dang I have a different interpretation of those lines. I got more of this suit was not used for its intended purpose but it was used to kill /hurt someone intentionally. Which could be interesting depending on where this incident was placed time wise to the bite of 83.
I don't think michaels entire body was taxidermied, I think the scooper tore his stomach open and Ennard had to make do by forcing their way into the nooks and crannies
If it tore up a way to his spine through the stomach, enard could very easily mimic the position of his bones and nerves to control michael with dexterity. When enard leaves michael, he falls to the ground like a suit and not like a skeleton, that means his bones were broken. Since bones hold bone marrow that creates new cells, it's possible that the remnant soaked in the bones and they fixed themselves while creating cells infused with remnant
There is an old steam post by Scott Cawthon that suggests that Ennard did indeed remove Michaels insides rather than just slipping inside around his organs. When asked how the Scooper even worked, Scott basically said the Scooper just punched a hole in mike and then he was emptied out "like a pumpkin"
I like how you explained William's motives as a mix of curiosity and revenge, rather than just him being evil. I always thought William's crimes were related to his experiments, but I couldn't quite piece all the evidence together. Because of that, I really respect the work you put into this video. It deserves way more attention than it has right now!
To me "I don't think it was ever used, at least in the way it was meant to be used" has a pretty clear meaning - this suit WAS used, but not for entertainment. It was only used by Afton. I guess there's a second possible interpretation - assuming that Baby is saying that the suit was MEANT to be used for evil, then it only being used for entertainment would match the sentence, but the first seems a lot more likely
@@johnjordan211 Someone getting spring locked makes no sense to me. "I don't think it was ever used, at least not in the way it was meant to be used. Too dangerous" Doesn't work in the context of someone got spring locked in this suit. Like, yes someone did get springlocked - but not in this specific suit. That's how they know it's too dangerous to wear. But it was never worn. Not by an employee, not for it's intended purpose. Which means that it was worn, but never by someone that was planning to use it for it's intended purpose.
@@johnjordan211 >says someone got springlocked >gets a long response from OC saying that it couldn't have been a springlock failure >says the same thing >refuses to elaborate >leaves What did he mean by this?
@@BrixBlox i think someone managed to clean up the old "evan" theory for cc's name in the security logbook. honestly fee;s a bit anticlimactic for the nameless kid who we barely know all series to be given a basic bitch ass name as evan or dave though, so i don't personally believe either.
@@BrixBloxit’s a bit pretentious to say anything on fnaf lore is proven to be fair but what they’re referring to is the old “Evan” theory was “figured out” basically they used the exact way they found Cassidy’s name and used it to find Dave. “Evan” was using the same theory up until the last letter, but “Dave” uses the same system for every single letter. Virtually making it as cannon as Cassidy’s name! Which is still argued on, but widely accepted
More proof the springlock suit is the one that caused the springlock failure, inorder to decomoress the springs you need a hand crank, this suit in specific requires us to constantly wind up the spings by hand FROM INSIDE the suit, which means the suit isnt functioning correctly
@@WitheredCircle Thank you! Excited to see what people think. It's funny though cause I watched your Molten Freddy video yesterday and I discuss a lot of the same points later on in this video!
@@UnwitheredTruth btw do you have a discord acc? I wanna discuss something with you there so if you could email it to me or something that would be great
Thank you so much! BTW I'm sorry I misspelled Buunny in the shoutout 😂 I only realised it was spelled differently when I saw your comment on that Gibi video from a few days ago about him spelling it correctly
Honestly, I always thought the interpretation for baby's "I don't think it was ever used. At least, not the way it was *meant* to be used. Too dangerous" to be "The suit wasn't ever used by Afton to kill" (because we know *his* intentions for the suits were to use them to kill) because it was "too dangerous" for him to do so, and therefore to her knowledge was never used
8:38 If she witnessed a springlock failure, then that could tie into "Remember what you saw". If William (via one of the fredbear nannycam plushies) telling David/CC "Remember what you saw" is referring to a springlock failure he witnessed, and Elizabeth knows about springlock failures, then this could mean that both David and Elizabeth witnessed a springlock failure possibly in the *employees only/red-door room* at Fredbears sometime before the events of the FNAF 4 minigames. This might explain why Elizabeth and Mrs. Afton are absent during the events of FNAF 4, they might be away at therapy due to Elizabeths trauma. If they are, then why does David not have therapy? Who knows, maybe he wasn't as severely traumatised as Elizabeth, maybe he does just at a different schedule.
I don’t agree. It’s implied that the Crying Child saw something, but that he misunderstood it. If he saw a springlock failure, that wouldn’t be a misunderstanding. This is why I believe in ID’s Fantasy’s theory that he saw the Puppet around Charlie, thinking it was the one who harmed her.
This is the first video of yours I see and I was so shocked when I saw you only started doing videos like a month ago. These are some scrumptious brilliant editing and narrating skills. Better than literally all of the fnaf videos I've seen prior and I've seen a lot. You dont get fooled by common misunderstandings like the double lit up eyes and it's so satisfying hearing you talk about something you clearly have a deep understanding of. 10000/10 I'm happy with this timeline and you filled in many plotholes I was in doubt for a while. Definitely a deserved follow!
Thank you!! I'm delighted you liked the sprites. It started as a need for a William image that wasn't from the graphic novels and then ballooned into doing as many as I could 😂
The editing in this video is REALLY good. Makes the channel stand out from other fnaf theorists, and its the first time I’ve been engaged w the visuals of a fnaf theory vid in a long time
This is really solid. If you'll permit me, I have two questions about the last bit, where you talk about the early days. Honestly, it makes sense why you didn't discuss them here, but I've got curiosity. 1. What is your opinion on the grave order in Help Wanted and how/if that interacts with this theory? You present Dave, then Charlie, then the MCI kids as the Death Order, but a not uncommon interpretation of the graves place Charlie last. 2. Where's the SAVETHEM minigame fit in with the murders? You don't mention them, so I'm curious.
I'm pretty sure the HW2 grave order is meant to represent the order the MCI victims were put to rest. Plus, there have been things that have hinted at the death order in other installments. There's more evidence for it being Susie, Jeremy, Gabriel, Fritz then Cassidy.
1. As stated, most likely when they were put to rest. If you take UCN and Frights into account, it makes a lot of sense. Cassidy remains after 6, but eventually departs from UCN and rests her soul, as OMC bids her, leaving William to Andrew. Charlie may or may not also be hanging around in UCN, but even if she isn’t, she’s still around because she is the one to destroy William in the end in Frights. Only then does she rest, the last in the grave order. 2. An event Scott wants us to forget. But, if I were to try and make it fit, it could be William experimenting yet again, this time without direct contact between the deceased and the robots to see if there’s a reaction. And there is, and they want his head for it, so he pisses off to the day shift.
The HW2 graves are not the death order, thats just impossible. The HW2 grave puzzle is one giant reference to Happiest day. The dolls are placed on graves in the order that the 5 children arrive to the Party, with the exception of Freddy whos minigame can be completed on any night unlike the others whos minigames can only be done on certain nights. The puppet is the final grave because they arrive last to the party and deliver the cake to the children. This Easter egg is then used to open the door leading to the bonnie mask, which is again another reference to Happiest day. The Bonnie mask was worn by the bully in Fredbears and the layout of Fredbears is litterally just the Happiest day minigame but flipped backwards
@@Skibbutz i mean, why would it be bonnie kid specifically? there's nothing special about him. it'd make more sense to stick a foxy mask in there, or a fredbear plush. sure, the bonnie mask shows up, but it feels a bit to random in this interpretation to be locked in a chest.
Only thing that is missing is when or how Afton asked Michael to put his sister back together. He was sealed when Michael entered the bunker, but if Afton gave Michael directions ("it was right where you said it was"), it shouldn't have taken him that long to find it. I guess there could be a lot of time between him breaking down animatronics and when he comes back for Golden Freddy.
I considered discussing it but it's really only speculation rather than properly evidence based. I like to imagine that William knew the risks of breaking into Freddy's to get their remnant - so he set up a dead-man-switch which Michael received at some point near to the start of SL. "Michael - if you're reading this, then I am dead. And there are things you should know about my past..." type beat.
Can we just talk about the editing quality of this video? It's great. Add clear explanations and story-telled way to present the theory to the mix, and you got yourself an amazing video. Well done and thank you! 💪
Litteraly the second video and the quality has already improved. It was good in the first one, and now its even better. Absolutely love the theory as well. Can't wait to see more.
9:12 And this is exactly why I feel like a good chunk of the fanbase is fed up with the franchise & why there's so much push back with the books being cannon. People have spent years picking apart every little detail only to be told "oh those details don't matter, but THESE ones do." Everyone picks and chooses which details are relevant so they can construct a narrative because truthfully Scott is a very piss poor storyteller. Without doing so you end up going crazy other all the details that Scott would probably now consider as mistakes. Which is infuriating for long time fans to be told that the details we've been analyzing for so long were never even relevant because Scott one day got bored and decided he wanted to change the direction of the story.
Banger video! I agreed with what you said for the most part. What I loved was how you brought up how we should be viewing the series as a story rather than an infallible piece of media. I wish more people viewed the series that way.
Fun little thought about the clown mask Ennard wears: since all SL animatronics are symbols of Afton's family members (baby for Elizabeth, Ballora for his wife, etc), it could be that the mask was for animatronic for Michael or William itself.
Wow thank you so much for my first donation!! I have a few ideas for a DCI video, but another channel, Withered Circle, is going to release a video soon on the same subject. I decided it would be better to wait a while before making my own video on the subject to avoid redundancy between different creators covering the same topic. If you're curious about my thoughts on the Bite of 87, I discuss it briefly in my The Week Before Theory - so I'd check that out if you haven't already.
Great theory; I'm kinda surprised that you didn't mention the "abandoned" feel on the underground facility at Dittophobia. Nor even explaining the fear experience but it's no biggie. Still a great theory.
Yeah that was the one aspect of SL I decided to not inspect as I view it more of a FNAF 4 topic. And tbh I need more time and research to develop a solid theory on that whole aspect of the lore. I have one in mind but want to make sure it's airtight (or as airtight as a fnaf theory can be) before I put it out there.
1. How do you edit so good (compliment) and 2. I never thought about fnaf one being after sister location, lets all go ahead and give this man a sub, he really deserves it.
It’s genuinely kind of sickening seeing such a high quality channel with only 8k subscribers, I truly hope this takes off even more than your first video!
As your channel states, the theories that are seemingly the most *withered* in the fandom become un-withered on this channel, and for a newbie, you *don’t* disappoint! 😅
Wow. Just wow. I went into this watching it as background noise but got totally drawn in. As a long-term FNAF fan, I can confidently say this is my favorite current Sister Location theory, it totally blew me away and finally made things make sense for me (personally). Not only that, but the writing is clear and concise. The video presentation is engaging and unique, and its delivered confidentaly. Overall probably the best theory I've seen in a while. You just gained a new subscriber!
Thank you so much that's really kind of you to say!! I'm delighted people are enjoying these videos and I'm working hard to get the next one out as soon as possible!
THIS IS THE BEST DAY! FIRST THIS VIDEO AND NOW AN UNDENIABLY CANON FNAF TIMELINE. Thanks for making the start of half term (England) amazing. Respect 👏
Idk if ur going to reply but are you only sticking to the games (except Fury's Rage & Freddy In Space 2) or are you also going to do the books like Fazbear Frights?
This was definitely an interesting take and i love how straightforward it is with detangling a lot of lore and meanings behind things within the game and those that came before. One theory that I had that came to mind fairly recently is that there may have been more than one Sister Location and Circus Baby's is one of the only known 'sister locations' we know of and the others were never mentioned or revealed. There could have been more Circus Baby's locations or other locations that don't connect or even relate to Circus Baby's at all and they could have had similar incidents with springlocks like we see/hear about in the games.
I’d like to propose that the final cutscene of SL custom night is actually *just* a teaser for FNAF 6, and doesn’t say anything about Mike being the protag of 3. In that cutscene, Ennard separates from Mike, Mike comes back to life, and William survived the FNAF 3 fire. That’s 4 separate characters still alive and roaming around, and it just so happens that William, Michael, Baby, and Ennard are all in FNAF 6. “I’m going to come find you” is indicative of Mike reuniting with his father, and his sister, in one big happy family.
It is SO nice to see someone treat Fnaf lore as an actual story, most fans just link questionably related stuff together to "answer" questions (See; some rando being the FNAF 3 protag instead of mike cause... book said so, even though it makes no sense even in context of the book)
the way Baby says the line makes it seem like someone used the suit in a way that isn't intended like say to lure kids away to be killed. if it was supposed to mean that someone wore it, and it sent into animatronic mode while worn then she said the line poorly.
I've been editing videos since I was twelve (I had a long buried Minecraft channel 😂) and then over the years transitioned into filmmaking. I just finished my fourth year in Film School and I minored in editing - though the majority of my graphics work is self taught. Thanks for the kind words!
@@UnwitheredTruth The graphics, editing, and music are all great. Paced well, fit together and tease. You definitely have a knack for it! Do you have any personal projects/stories you plan on releasing on this channel?
@@UnwitheredTruthI was about to say. These first two videos on this fresh channel were made as if you’ve been making videos for years. Makes sense now.
I've always understood Baby's remark about "I don’t think it was ever used. At least, not the way it was meant to be used..." as suggesting that the suit had been utilized, but not for its original purpose of entertaining children. Instead, it seems to imply that it was used as a method to carry out murder or possibly even was the murder weapon itself.
27:43 A tad unrelated, but FNaF 3 taking place in 2015 makes way more sense chronistically than it taking place around the early 2020s as many people assume, both in terms of current events and trends in the mid 2010s.
Most assume that FNAF 3 takes place in the early 2020s because the previous location (The one from the first game) seemingly closed during the 1990s and the description of FNAF 3 told us how Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction opened 30 years after the closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. However, it's also possible that the game takes place during the late 2010s; 30 years after the closing of the FNAF 2 location (You know, the location of the previous game; something that would make sense from an storytelling standpoint).
I'm pretty sure Scott said that FNAF 3 takes place 30 years after the minigame, and in the minigame, we see the FNAF 1 location abandoned, the doors boarded up and the ceiling leaking. Mice are everywhere and the robots are left abandoned. It physically can't take place at 2015.
@@xM0nst3Rx wait. I'm confused about the lore now. So was William still alive after fnaf 1? But wasn't the phone guy talking about the sealed rooms, which was after William locking in the a suit?
@@Sergonizer yes, FNAF 1 happened before William's death, hence explaining why the place was abandoned and left to ruin in the FNAF 3 minigames. Phone Guy talking about sealed rooms takes place before FNAF 1, so it was referring to an older event. my guess is, after the murders took place, they put on the walls to hide the evidence of William's murders to keep the places open. Of course, it didn't work as they abandoned FNAF 1 location, and Phone Guy got killed there. also the Safe Room in FNAF 1 not being sealed off, as is shown in FNAF 3 minigames, indicates that William didn't murder any kids in FNAF 1 location. so it must be a new building.
Phenomenal fucking theory & animation at the end It orders the main events of the story and doesn't focus on smaller details that might have been jokes or one-off gags (ie, odor). keep up the content king you're great
I like the premise of the video, that we can hinge everything around "Sister Location" being connected to "the sister location". The problem is that Scott has had to change the direction of the story before so we can't actually count on his intentions at the time of creation. Look at "the box" from FNAF 4 having to be scrubbed from relevance. That's why I generally prefer looking at hard evidence that can't be moved without there being retcons to official lore, rather than shaky evidence such as plot threads Scott might have been pointing us to.
I would generally agree - but Scott has said that he planned out the story more thoroughly after FNAF 4 - as he was unhappy with the reception to the fourth game. Tbh I think SL and Pizza Sim both stuck pretty close to Scott's intentions
this is my first video of yours and it's amazing! already a huge fan :) i love how you look at the lore and how you present things, both in reasoning and editing! great stuff :D also, as a fan since the series started I really love your analysis of less talked-about details that people have forgotten about

Super welly put together video, and and your claims and evidence are really strong and convincing as well. Great job, can't wait to watch your other videos and see what you have in store in the future
I'm glad that you're a person who thinks of the story from a logical standpoint, because Scott didn't even have a full story planned out to begin with, so it would be silly to assume he knew what he was doing the whole time. Also, your editing is amazing, it makes your videos even more appealing to watch! You're definitely someone who was worth subscribing to 👍
In the Silver Eyes trilogy, we see that William Afton did survive a previous springlock incident, or multiple springlock incidents. Was William Afton the springlock failure that occurred that demanded the springlock suits to be no longer be used?
I did consider this at one point! Right now I can't remember what made me second guess it - but if there's enough competing evidence I could definitely try working it into a future video
i just want to say i absolutely love your production, vo, and presentation! its a real treat and the kind of thing that makes me (and i would hope others) wanna really follow your stuff :P
With the second line of Baby saying “At least not in the way it was meant to be used” strikes me not as someone was using it and an accident happened, but instead, someone using it for nefarious purposes because of the tone Baby used eg. putting someone in there so they get springlocked, mimicking what she is doing to Micheal.
13:00 Two important notes to make here: 1) The 1st Freddy's image you used features the Unwithereds. You use them again in the Man Behind the Slaughter section. Now, as you agree yourself, these guys either never existed, or only existed briefly and weren't the original Freddy's gang. That would be the Classics. 2) The FNAF 1 Freddy's and the original 1983 Freddy's are the same building. The Week Before implies the FNAF 1 building is bigger than it seems, containing many of the rooms we see in Into the Pit, which were unused by time the pizzeria reopened in 1988/1989. But in any case, it's the same Freddy's P.S. The FNAF 2 location is literally said to be open for several weeks, not one week
1. So I keep going back and forth in my head about the Unwitherds, cause people had some interesting counterpoints to my debunking of them in my first video - but also they're just useful visual distinctions to show differences in time periods. Not really convinced one way or the other about their Canonicity at this point and it's just for visual aid. 2. The whole thing about the building being bigger to me doesn't necessarily mean it's the Into the Pit building (as honestly I'm still not convinced it's canon to the other games). Even if it was, the Into the Pit building isn't THAT much bigger than the FNAF 1 building and is an ENTIRELY different layout. We know that at least the saferoom never moved because it's still where it was after being sealed in Follow Me which has the FNAF 1 layout. Regardless of Into the Pit, I do still think the FNAF 1 Freddy's is the 1983 location reused - but I've an interesting thought regarding that it might actually ALSO be Fredbear's - also based on The Week Before
I love this theory. It matches my original thoughts on the early days of circus babys pizza world but disproves my placement of the events sister location in my personal timeline(i originally placed it before the events of fnaf 2) and changes the rest of my timeline as a whole. I originally thought that at this point william would go into hiding after the MCI under an alias and leave michael(who would be 17 at this point since i considered him to be 13 during the bite of 83) with instructions to free his sister. He would then discover his father’s motives and also get scooped which would set him on a mission to undo his fathers actions setting him up as the nightguard in night 7 of fnaf 2 and the nightguard in all of fnaf 1. Both times he would try to get them scrapped only succeeding with the toys but failing to get the classics scrapped. In my personal timeline scrap baby and molten freddy would exist a lot earlier which i didnt really have a problem with but now i cant work with that since now i know the funtimes aren’t possessed yet which would mean that they only one who was possessed was baby which now thinking about it wouldnt make sense for afton to return to the fnaf 1 location to harvest remnant since he doesnt have the funtimes to experiment on. The new timeline that you proposed makes a sense and mends the plot holes that mine had and honestly is better. But it sucks that now in the new timeline mike and fritz are just unlucky individuals who happen to smell bad and are not actually jus aliases for michael afton:( I also had michael set up as this rlly cool protagonist who seen it all and knows the weakness of each animatronic but now it turns out he was only involved in fnaf 3, sister location, and pizzeria simulator which is a little late to the party. But still i completely endorse your new timeline and will probably use it going forward:)
I mean, Fritz and Mike could both still be Michael Afton, just that he hasn't been scooped yet and is just a regular guy. The Logbook and FNAF 4 nightmares do imply that Michael was at both the FNAF 2 and FNAF 1 locations as well, not to mention "Smith" and "Schmidt" are the same name just in different languages or something. So he doesn't have to just be involved in 3, SL, and PS, but if he was in 1 and 2 as well then he wouldn't have experienced Sister Location yet according to this theory.
@@legoboy7107 i never thought of that actually. I guess it would still make sense for him to go to the fnaf 1 and 2 locations even before he got scooped now that i think about it. That would also mean that this michael even as a regular guy never took showers.
I'm not sure how no one noticed, but the Endo Skeleton from Enerd is Still In Michael, also why his eyes, or mechanical eyes still glow. He's a duality to William/Springtrap. Springtrap is Machine on the outside, with a corpse inside, Michael is a Corpse on the Outside with a machine inside. Not to mention, remnant possessions can only move if they have machine parts!
When baby says "not the way it was meant to be used", she's trying to make you (who she mistakes for William) think of your misdeeds. When she says that it was too dangerous, she's talking very directly about the fact that this springlock suit is defective, the locks don't lock, and William would remember this and be terrified, but also know how to stay alive.
I always assumed Sister Location took place between FNaF 1 and FNaF 3, since I interpreted Hand Unit's intro spiel to imply that the rental place was started after the whole Freddy Fazbear's franchise died out after the first game ends. It seems that I might have been right for the wrong reasons.
I mean, tbh that possibility COULD work - but I think it makes a tiiiiny bit more sense for Entertainment and Rentals to be opened a few years earlier rather than Baby sitting in a bunker for a decade untouched.
Amazing video once again. I really love your editing, how you present information and put it into an easily followable story. I will say that sometimes the music volume can clash with your voice a bit! That's the only real criticism I notice. Again, amazing work! 💚
Congratulations! Regarding your first video. I understood that you intuited that the action of the first fnaf game would be in 1989. This aspect is possible but I have seen other theories and including forums that propose the idea that the first game was played in 1998 because it is said that Friday November 13 is a symbolic date for the classic fnaf era, it being also found at the end of the fnaf 2 game on the check from the day of the bite in 87. I guess that in fnaf 1 November 13 also falls on a Friday, and the closest variants would be 1992 and 1998. And many people go for the year 1998 because Ralph says in fnaf 1 that the animatronics have been singing the same songs for 20 years ---possibly a reference to fredbear family dinner which opened in the late 70s.
So gonna pin this comment here for anyone with frequently asked comments over the last few days!
Q1. How could William be springlocked after FNAF 1 if the room is sealed when Phone Guy is still alive?
A1. Here's a TH-cam Short I made on the subject: th-cam.com/video/YoQ47sr2qss/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheUnwitheredTruth
Q2. Baby's Lines mean the springlock was used for nefarious purposes
Nobody cares little kid
For the 2nd one a theory I heard is that William use the spring lock suit to get rid of the evidence for Elizabeth’s death.
When Elizabeth died William did not wanting to bring suspicion to the funtimes
So he made it look like Elizabeth was killed by the springlocks
Hence the whole “ at least not the way it was meant to be used” and baby connections/knowledge of it
This is definitely one of my favorite theory videos.
I'm making a stories too & I've made some mistakes.
After the mikebot, MikeHell, mangledog, willcare, glitchafton, gregbot garbage era of 2018-2022, I’m glad we’re actually getting somewhere
Yeah I agreed, we are now filling the plot hole that manage to make sense a rather than throwing another concept and see if it sticks to the wall

The odor and tampering with the animatronics was a meta joke. You were tampering with the animatronics by changing their AI level and the game just said you were a sweatlord gamer for beating 4/20 mode
Yeah, that make sense like it was obviously a trolling subtle 4th wall break, nothing more than that
I hadn’t thought about this, do you think Scott could’ve seen the community take it as lore and played into it a little?
@@borealis5379 Yeah that makes sense, but its funny to look back on all the “lore” now and it’s just “ur stinky” 😂

@Superlazerninja12
My point still stands.

Agreed, but I will say, just because that may be original intention doesn’t mean Scott hasn’t now in incorporated it into the story
The reason why people thought that was the case was probably cuz the aura from the others aren’t as bright as Golden Freddy’s
Since bones hold bone marrow that creates new cells, it's possible that the remnant soaked in the bones and they fixed themselves while creating cells infused with remnant
possible. but I like the mental image of a purple flesh suit walking around and looking for jobs better, I have to admit lol.
Fucking horrific.
*Aggressively slurps water from your body to fit inside*
Or someone got springlocked
@@johnjordan211 Someone getting spring locked makes no sense to me.
"I don't think it was ever used, at least not in the way it was meant to be used. Too dangerous"
Doesn't work in the context of someone got spring locked in this suit. Like, yes someone did get springlocked - but not in this specific suit. That's how they know it's too dangerous to wear. But it was never worn. Not by an employee, not for it's intended purpose.
Which means that it was worn, but never by someone that was planning to use it for it's intended purpose.

i absolutely love how you ACTUALLY regarded the crying child as “David,” because it was recently proven.
Where was it proven?

18:13 Actually Micheal survives because he's just that guy, no remnant needed.
Great video! Love the thought and effort you put into your theories! Also, as always, the art direction was great (especially loved those sprites)!
Thank you!! I'm delighted you liked the sprites. It started as a need for a William image that wasn't from the graphic novels and then ballooned into doing as many as I could 😂
You know this is going to be cinema
@@hotpocketsat2am because the HW2 player IS the bonnie bully from fnaf 4, thats why the mask is "familiar" to him. Cassies dad is the Bonnie Bully
At 1:41 I fully expected to hear "I've come to make an announcement: Shadow the hedgehog is a-" come out of the speakers 😭
Michael is Funtime Foxy
The mask would be William

Wow thank you so much for my first donation!!
I have a few ideas for a DCI video, but another channel, Withered Circle, is going to release a video soon on the same subject. I decided it would be better to wait a while before making my own video on the subject to avoid redundancy between different creators covering the same topic.

I have one in mind but want to make sure it's airtight (or as airtight as a fnaf theory can be) before I put it out there.

the sheer production value on this is stunning, all of the animations are absurdly good 🫶🏽✨
This was definitely an interesting take and i love how straightforward it is with detangling a lot of lore and meanings behind things within the game and those that came before.
"The parents will be too distracted by his perfect machines"
Ah yes, the Ballora hypothesis
the way Baby says the line makes it seem like someone used the suit in a way that isn't intended like say to lure kids away to be killed. if it was supposed to mean that someone wore it, and it sent into animatronic mode while worn then she said the line poorly.
I have a question, how have you acquired those editing skills, you’re quite skilled!!!
I've been editing videos since I was twelve (I had a long buried Minecraft channel 😂) and then over the years transitioned into filmmaking. I just finished my fourth year in Film School and I minored in editing - though the majority of my graphics work is self taught. Thanks for the kind words!

Same here. Considering Spring Bonnie being used, there is precedence for this. Annoyingly, this would mean there is *yet another* set of murders.
Phenomenal fucking theory & animation at the end
It orders the main events of the story and doesn't focus on smaller details that might have been jokes or one-off gags (ie, odor).
keep up the content king you're great
I like the premise of the video, that we can hinge everything around "Sister Location" being connected to "the sister location".
@@UnwitheredTruth Well said.

With the second line of Baby saying “At least not in the way it was meant to be used” strikes me not as someone was using it and an accident happened, but instead, someone using it for nefarious purposes because of the tone Baby used eg. putting someone in there so they get springlocked, mimicking what she is doing to Micheal.

this is literally the best theory on fnaf ever wth, like this solidifies so much about what we were still trying to figure out even way back then
13:00
Two important notes to make here:
1) The 1st Freddy's image you used features the Unwithereds.
But in any case, it's the same Freddy's
Regardless of Into the Pit, I do still think the FNAF 1 Freddy's is the 1983 location reused - but I've an interesting thought regarding that it might actually ALSO be Fredbear's - also based on The Week Before
28:14 this part was so beautifully done, your editing style is very engaging especially for fnaf theory videos
@@NormalPerson-kl3nc I mean he beat 4/20 mode, he's a sweaty gamer lol.
Imagine your first three videos being this good. You have a way of analysing fnaf that i havent seen before, but im ready to see more of
Lets goo, try solving the Chicas party world and Mediocre Melodies timeline theory
9:00 bro these animations are insane..
sick video, keep up the good work
I'm not sure how no one noticed, but the Endo Skeleton from Enerd is Still In Michael, also why his eyes, or mechanical eyes still glow.
He's a duality to William/Springtrap.
Springtrap is Machine on the outside, with a corpse inside, Michael is a Corpse on the Outside with a machine inside.
Not to mention, remnant possessions can only move if they have machine parts!
The amount of work this guy puts in is mad. He deserves to be as famous as Matpat he’s that good.
seeing the jointless fingers of restored withered freddy move, is unnerving to me
darn good animations
your videos are so well crafted, i loved this one! your voice is so easy to listen to 😭
This man made 2 videos and he's already PEAK
When baby says "not the way it was meant to be used", she's trying to make you (who she mistakes for William) think of your misdeeds. When she says that it was too dangerous, she's talking very directly about the fact that this springlock suit is defective, the locks don't lock, and William would remember this and be terrified, but also know how to stay alive.
23:45 finally, someone who isn’t brain dead
I age like 50 years whenever someone uses this mask to say there are two lights
You are so underrated as a youtuber, the editing, animations, theories, everything is perfect.
This being your 3d video is really impressive! The editing, animation, wow.
GOAT THEORY. I agree with every point made in the video. Wonderful job dude. Congrats.
