Okay so why are you as a consumer accepting this mediocre content compared to the previous seasons? This is literally supposed to be the FINAL SEASON. We as customers dictate what is good or not good. They listen to the viewership numbers and money more than anything. Stop defending this. Stop saying that MAPPA are heros for "saving" aot. They took the job just for the money, even though they already knew they're hands were full with other stuff. They dont care about overworking their staff. They want to RUSH RUSH RUSH everything and people just accept it. And even worse, those idiots make fun of people who actually have criticism for the animation style for the final season. Idk why people just accept mediocre content nowadays.

@@marshalsoult3860 Uhm WIT had an average 1,4 years to produce every seasons or part except S1 what has been in production for 2 years, they had a huge budget thanks for the committee at that time, Mappa is working woth lower budget, around the same number of staff(on SnK's project) what WIT had on SnK, and has a short time to produce, S4P1 was 7 months to produce, S4P2 got 10-11 months and they showed you that they can easily copy the same drawing style what WIT and other studios used in the last 10 years but still WIT produced a high quality series than those studios with their animation on movements with ODMG or in a 1v1 among Titans(except Levi vs Kenny squad, it was a freelancer that worked on that one scene for 6 monts). And i guess you are not watching it from a legal site with license and not even buying the DVD or buying anything that gives them money to produce anything, so you should not speak or cry about their work if you are just a bystander that pirates their work and enjoying it anyway.

MAPPA and Yuki Kaji did such good work. To anyone who feels like saying fan-made is better because no censoring, keep in mind MAPPA could've done the same, but AoT is airing on national television. Not everything is allowed.

Wow, the fan-animation made me realise how much emotion was put into Mappa’s take on Eren’s eye stab scene. That sense of fear and pure dread on Eren’s face was so brilliantly portrayed

For everyone saying they are "censoring" the eye scene. I think it is deliberately left out after the tense build up, to let the scene play out in our heads. Much more powerful that just showing gore all the time. It's not like Mappa doesn't want to show us gore I mean cmon the way Eren smacked the shit out of the war hammer titan mid-transformation.

Definitely. Last episode they had Mikasa slicing dudes in half, stabbing them through the heart, and slicing off their heads. Plus to top it off, they even made it rain blood on her after she exploded those two guys.
Plus the VA did a fucking amazing job at simulating excruciating pain

Mappa's bullet scene is far superior in every way. It actually looks like something he really doesn't want to experience, where's in the fan made it looks like he's just going through the motions.

I like how in Mappa's rendition, you can see the fear and hesitation in Eren before he gouges out his eye. He's lost limbs before, he's used to self mutilation to transform, but it doesn't make it easier mentally to deliberately debilitate himself so painfully. He seems terrified at the prospect and I love it.
I have MAD respect for the fan made animator. That must have taken a long time and it looks wonderful!

fanとTVの違いってそこだと思うし、fanはしがらみが無い分直接的に描けるけど、TVはあるから見ている人に対して想像させるような構図になってるし、
見ている人を見た瞬間から色々と考えさせられるよね
Mappa gives off a vibe of horror where Eren cuts his leg and stabs his eye. That's the only missing thing in yours. Good job though.

I agree tho that fans don't really care about animation quality as long as it wasn't that bad, that's why MAPPA got greedy, like hell animating 16 episodes in less than a year? they destroyed their staff and the fans are just happy with it.
I believe animators health is priority number 1, fuck the fans, they should take their time, but this would never happen.
I am not saying MAPPA did a bad job in term of quality, yes part 1 wasn't that perfect but part 2 was phenomenal (even tho in some frames you can sense how rushed MAPPA was), we must remember that behind the scenes there are over-worked animators that produces each episode frame and this is the sad reality.
This is why i admire animators and artists so much,they be making miracles and masterpieces and history through their worl
The amount of effort that goes into these fan animations is astounding
The scene Mappa made of Eren stabbing his eye with the bullet and chopping off his legs was one of my favorite scenes that they had made. The atmosphere and directing that led towards that scene felt just about perfect in my opinion and that scene hit really hard when I first saw it.
It is actually harder than it looks to make anime and time consuming. Good job for the fanmade.

Tbh, Mappa can't just "Transition" the art style similar to the trailer... Just note that the trailer was PRE-ANIMATED Also it could take AGES and cost more RECOURCES for the Studio... Come on man.. give the animators a break..

@@DrHouse-fb1qe I know they can’t just change the art style , I meant as in smaller areas like hey they used some thick lines on the nose , but I would say their art style tends to be inconsistent that just happens with a bad schedule,their colors for the first 3 eps of p2 was amazing and how Reiner came down with a nice design was nice , and how zeke came out the titan was also really nice but there are scenes like during the port scene where it just feels a bit bland

The fan animated version does not really show the emotions of the characters compared to the TV anime. You could see in the fan animation that Eren was putting a bullet in his eye like it was nothing while in the TV anime you could see that Eren was afraid of putting that bullet in his eye which is normal of a human to be afraid of. The TV anime captues the emotions that the characters are supposed to be feeling.
I love how they somehow animated text same way with same font, amazing coincidence!
I don’t read the manga or anything so I’m not sure if they’ve shown eren stabbing his eye. In my opinion I prefer the mappa version where it cuts off right when he’s about to stab his eye, because they’re just leaving it to us in our imagination.

Plus the screams and voice acting already Make it a 10/10 I think

@FireDragon it was not because of censorship, that wouldn’t make sense considering what we see earlier in the season and even in the episode alone. It was an artistic choice and honestly an overall great choice.

I just wish they stopped using cgi. In part 1 where they introduce the warriors when they were younger, they used hand-drawn animation for the female and jaw titans instead of cgi and it was amazing. Also, they used hand-drawn animation in the first part 1 trailer and looked awesome too. MAPPA clearly does have the capability and talent to make amazing hand-drawn animation, most viewers probably wouldn't mind it being delayed a bit if they were given more time for hand-drawn.
Some probably would, and a lot of people really dont mind the cgi, but I guess its your opinion.
I mean WIT used quite a bit of CGI too. Shit the wall titans in Season 4 look infinitely better than the Colossus in Seasons 2 & 3.
Honestly the cgi in part 2 actually looked pretty good and is 100x better than the first part

If the fan made was intentionally made to be compared to MAPPA, then saying "props to the fan made for taking the time" is like giving it a participation award. Making other awards useless. MAPPA dominates this.
