That PLD trade has actually turned into a total FLEECING by the Jets. PLD is now barely a 4th liner while Vilardi is absolutely unreal. And WIN got 2 more players and a 2nd rounder too!
It’s honestly reminiscent of Colorado trading away Matt Duchene and somehow getting an insane haul back despite having 0 leverage.
It's insane how we are having 2 Canadian teams duke it out with historic, record breaking efforts. I love hockey!! GO JETS GO!!!

It’s kinda nuts how over looked the canucks are. Their depth is unreal, 2 great goalies, best top line in the NHL, top tier coaching staff. What more do we need to do for people to pay attention

Petey, Miller, Boeser, kronik, Hughes. Best 5 in the NHL. This line is so far plus minus above every other line, there isn't even a close 2nd.
You’re right, there’s no close second, that is because the true best right now is MacKinnon, Rantanen, Nichushkin, Makar, and Toews and their stats prove it by a landslide

@@nickgreenfield8155 people only say plus minus doesn't count when they want their players to get awards. A 90 point player with a minus 15 is not better than a 70 point player who is plus 30. Your going to win all day every day with the better defensive players.

The disrespect to JT Miller is absolutely bananas. 3rd in the league in points and leads the canucks but it’s still about Boeser and Hughes
Oh no. That’s no disrespect, that’s just how good the Canucks are. When Miller is going to have a career year and yet, Hughes and Boes and Petey are also going to be having career years. It’s insane right now.

What do you expect from guys based in Toronto. The whole team is clicking and has been all year and they still "want to see it for 82 games" they've had the stars for years, now they have a good cast around them and a coach. they are for real they just don't want to talk about them because it's vancouver.
When you call out players and yell at other teammates, getting and keeping respect is tough
I understood it more like he's questioning if Hughes Boeser and Demko can keep up their level of play, while not questioning Miller and Petey because they are more likely to do so. Obviously Boeser is not as important to this team as Petey and Miller, I think the bardown guys realise that lol

Vancouver's schedule has been easy the 1st half. 2nd half it gets much harder and we will get a better idea of how good they are by the end of February

@tobinkern5389 it hasn't been "easy" they played Edmonton 3 times, who regardless if they sucked early were a cup fav in pre season. They've played every top team in the east and beat all of them at least once. They are 4-1 so far on a 7 game road trip and hung 5+ goals on each NY area team. That's definitely not "easy"
Add to that the fact that they spent huge parts of the first half of the season in long road trips plus some grueling spells of having loads of games in few nights - that’s why other teams had 5-6 games in hand most of the time.

Lucas says Canucks still haven't beaten LA blah blah blah...they beaten rangers, stars, panthers twice, all those teams have better record than LA right now, and LA is on a 7 game losing streak...so because Vancouver hasn't played or beat LA yet they just don't believe canucks is a contender ? Lol
What I actually said is for them to just keep this play up in the second half and how I’m looking forward to them playing LA because they are also very good
@@lucacelebre88 L.A is in free fall and they are also not good at home. knights and avs are the real tests in the west. They do scare me in a series no one else in the west is close to them vs the Canucks.

@@lucacelebre88 it's not that i think they don't have a good team, i just see Edmonton is on their heels and Seattle has woken up as well. 3rd in the division is up for grabs and by seasons end they could be on the outside looking in if they don't go on a streak soon. i still think Avs and Knights are the scary teams as they are both proven playoff teams so we will see down the stretch and in april if anyone can hang with them.

The playoff race in the East is great this year. A few years ago it only took like a month to see a divide between the 8 playoff teams and the other 8.

Completely agree on the Allstar take. Jenner, Bjorkstrand and Hertl have no business at the allstar game, not when Drai, Makar, etc arent even guaranteed and have to be voted in. I wanna see the BEST of the best.
Is TSN not allowed to talk positive about the Panthers after crushing Toronto last spring?. You mentioned the Rangers, Knights, and Avs, all of which the Panthers have beat the last 2 weeks.
People can talk what ever they wan't. What happens on the ice is what counts.
Bruins fan here and panthers should be the talk of the league. I say they finish the job this year. They are just so good so we’ll built so well coached tough if they add perry my god it’s just an impossible team to play against.

@@kellenc_ panthers are different then 2 years ago. Bruins shoulda finished it last year. Florida played awesome not taking anything away from them but monty playing ullmark hurt was insane. Swayman wins game 5 no doubt. As that series went to game 7 I said whoever comes out of it wins the cup. I was close. I think the panthers were beat up after round 1 Vegas had an easier path. The leafs was a nice breather for you guys tho lol
I like every team getting an All Star rep. It adds a bit of investment for every viewer to an event that naturally lacks a genuine sense of competition and exposes fans of other teams to players they overlook. Adults upset that selection doesn’t mean more is ridiculous.
Plenty of players who deserve to be there will miss out due to the fan vote, which utterly favours big markets.
Malkin had a strong start to the season but had cooled off in november and part of December but has started to pick it back up again after the holiday break.
I’m not gonna lie, as a flyers fan I struggled to confidently say we were going to make playoffs, but with Drysdale coming in, I doubt we get worse. It seems like the trade has given the boys a bit of mojo as well. Too hard to say though, with the metro being filthy.
Drysdale needs to stay healthy. Dude is so injury prone it’s a gamble

If Cutter’s problem was with Flyers management he should’ve heard out the new management before fully denying to sign with them
He was mad that they didn't play him towards the end of the year to burn a year off his entry level contract, which effectively cost him millions of dollars by delaying a new contract. Also let's face it Torts is not the most fun coach to play for and in Anaheim he can be a main guy into their rebuild and get time on the PP without as much of an expectation that he sacrifices points and his body for defensive play and shot-blocking.

People are forgetting how good Linus ullmark was last year. More than .5 less gaa than Helibuck and 15 higher save percentage with 40 wins in 47 games

The all star game needs to be more competitive. They need to compete for something, I have regretted watching the all star game for the past 4 years because they don’t try and compete for anything. All the players do is just play chill hockey and not try at all

I don't think theres anything you can do about it. The majority of the players just want a mid-season vacation. Especially those on competitive teams. They need to recharge their batteries for the stretch run.
There's a channel called District 5 that covered the Drysdale-Gauthier trade, in depth, mostly from the Ducks perspective and the dude went OFF with legit stuff I haven't heard anywhere else... sounding like more and more of a reasonable decision from Gauthier by the day, and I think the ducks are happy to say the least..
I’ve been a leaf fan for 50 years I first started watching hockey with my grandfather he played with the farm team st pats.
If the leafs don’t soon get their act together no more supporting the leafs and I hope the faithfuls do the same empty the arena might get some attention.
Lotto line better than Schief, Ehlers and Vilardi. Lotto Line is Boeser, Petey and Miller. Since being reunited, they have like 30 or so points combined in 5 or 6 games.

The All-Star representation (every team having a player) is just a natural extension of the 'mighty' parity that the NHL gets praised for. We can't have it both ways. If you prefer a decentralization of the talent in the league, then decentralization of talent is going to appear in other places, ie the All-Star game and the chosen representatives.

Watching the rangers lately has been rough. They struggle so much 5 on 5. And every game, they seem to have a lot of neutral zone and defensive zone turn overs.

Huge jets fan here, Love the jets but Dillon and Schmidt aren't worth 10mil. Stanley and Heinola could fill those rolls 8mil cheaper.
Chevy has made some awesome moves but him making and picking up long expensive contracts have been questionable... Brian Little contract was horrible, wheeler contract was horrible, picking up Schmidt at 6mil for 4 more years wasn't genius. He's made great moves and doesn't seem to lose trades but he isn't a God. Let's see how he handles perfetti negotiations
