Evliis is actually mine & my brother & sisters cousin. My mom married young into the Presley side of his family in Shreveport. I was born & raised in shreveport la where he pretty much got started here at the La Hayride & maybe had family probably here then. Him playing unchained melody on the piano was the last recordings of him singing & performing in concert yes. Before he passed he sung & played it on the piano that day & another song I forget the name. He was an amazing guy with not just great talent and charisma but a heart of gold who gave soo much to the poor & ill and sung to raise charity. I think you should watch some more of him on here singing or interviews he did. It really helps to get to know him better. You have no clue how bad I wish I would of been born the same time era as him & he didnt pass soo soon. It would of been nice to have someone like Elvis in my life to be around instead of negativity. I'm very proud to say hes my cousin he opened the doors for soo many things, like for drummers to be added onto singing making a band, back up singers etc & was just all around an amazing good person. He had some issues like everyone does as well as bad health issues but he really was a great guy soo much I listen to his songs every day now lol

I can't believe it's been so long since he left the world in tears! I grew up listening to his music & going to see his movies as a child / teen. I still remember being so excited going into the theater with my sisters. I never did get to see a live performance. He came to Columbia, SC not too awfully long before he passed to do a concert. I think Michael Jackson was just about to break out of his isolation but just not in time, they don't see the danger because they love people. and not all people are good and worthy of that Love. Yes I am one of them older people..I was a very young teenager when I saw Elvis with my granny in 1975 and I was like what the heck is wrong with all these old ladies carrying on like they were having heart attacks LOLOLOL my dad was the hugest fan of Elvis,I still remember he was driving me and some of my girlfriends to the Mall in Columbus GA,We were stationed at Ft Benning then, and it came over the radio that Elvis was dead Aug 16, 1977, my dad pulled over and cried,I was like WOW!! I had never seen my dad ever cry before that,Fast Forward to years later my dad had retired from the Army in 1986 after 22 yrs. He had a huge collection on 8-tracks LOL many of them Elvis, When he was killed in 2005 in a Motorcycle accident I inherited all of them 8-tracks. The are better than anything worth money to me,I can touch them anytime I want and feel my dad :) because his hands had touched them so many times :)
I’m 18 and I love your videos. I’m starting to find an interest in Rock and Jazz. Which is quite awkward when I’m with my friends since they all listen to HipHop. But I’ll live and die with Elvis Presley’s voice. Oh my god. So beautiful
He died 6 weeks after he did this concert. Clearly in poor health but he gave it his all for songs that meant a lot to him at the end. "If I Can Dream" from the 68 Comeback Special is one I recommend. The deaths of MLK Jr and RFK were the inspiration of those. God bless you. Love your channel.
LOVE Elvis! That voice, oh! My uncle was in the military with him (in Germany) and he sent memorabilia home to his sister (my mom). When he came home he found out my mom sold it all as she wasn't a big Elvis fan. OMG. My uncle talked about that to his dying day. Thanks for bringing this lovely voice to me today and your reactions are priceless.
What an awful and upsetting thing to do to someone - sell their personal items without permission. Just reading about it... well there are no words. Hopefully the precious memories were of some comfort.
Elvis was very talented. He was also a very good person who did a lot for a lot of people. He died two months after this video. In 77 he had good days and bad days. He was very sick. He had a lot of things wrong with him and he didn't even know it. Instead of being on stage and he should have been in the hospital having surgery. My favorite song by Elvis is If I Can Dream. It was written by someone right after Martin Luther King got murdered. And it was about Brotherhood. And the guy that wrote it brought it to Colonel Parker and Colonel Parker said he didn't think that it would fit Elvis. But Elvis heard it and he wanted to do it. It's a great song. Elvis is missed and will always be the king.
kila don’t get me wrong I love elvis I listen to him almost every day but I personally think if we’re talking about pure voice talent and range I reckon Freddie murcury or for someone back when elvis was in his prime I think dean Martin had a better if not the same grade of voice Jackie Wilson aswell
Elvis loved gospel music above all others. One of his favorite pastimes was to sit at the piano and play and sing gospel with his backup singers, friends, etc. Look up videos of him doing that. Documentaries about him feature that, too. And his gospel albums have always been popular. Hey, with a storm headed your way, please do everything you can to stay safe. I've spent several happy vacations in the Panhandle (especially Destin, but I love the whole area from Panama City all the way west to Pensacola) and love the area and the people there. I'll be praying for you and family (including your dog) and everyone else in the path of the storm.

Andrew Solymos I'm also an Eddie Rabbitt fan I saw him in 1980 at Summerfest in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Lake Michigan outdoor concert and it was only $5 to get in for general admission tickets those were the days
I'm a huge Elvis fan and I was so hesitant to watch this. I'm very protective of this performance. Elvis died not long after and was ill. The years of drug abuse were about to take their toll. But he strived in *every* performance to give everything he had. He clearly is not at his best and he knows it (he even looks a bit embarrassed) but he's determined to give it all he's got. Its heartbreaking for me to watch. Thanks for taking it easy on him. There are much better performances - when he's young, cocky and full of swagger or the later years where his talent and charisma are unparalleled. But you won't find one where he's so vulnerable and uses everything he's got for his audience.
Beautifully said. He wasn’t well and it’s not a fair representation, but we all have love and compassion, as his fans. The ‘68 comeback is truly awesome. To me, that is fair.
I feel like that damn manager of his Colonel Tom Parker old geezer worked him to death and took most of the profits. He was shameless in his eternal greed! Instead of being concerned and getting him help he kept booking those concert dates. My mom and I adored him. I was 18 when he died in 77 I remember it so well it came on the news and we couldn't believe it.. Just cried and cried. My heart breaks when I see how very ill and tired he was. He gave it his all as always. We will never ever see anyone like him again. Rest in peace Elvis
Am loving this. Love that you play Elvis, thank you and God bless you. By the way, I'm a 55 yr old. Who Adored Elvis while he was living and continue to adore him.
Agreed ! And also Don't Cry Daddy. I love Mac Davis but Elvis worked his magic on In the Ghetto and made it his own classic gold. Mac wrote an incredible song, though. Sadly, though released nearly 50 years ago, it is still relatable today ... 😢😢😢
I miss Elvis everyday Imiss he,s music although Iplay he,s music everyday I've been a fan from since the 50's and ELvis will always be alive to me he is just like chocolate To me once i start i can't get enough he made so many Beautiful songs there all my favs Love always E rip
I grew up in love with Elvis. Of course he's my Daddy's age!! LOL. He can do no wrong. Spin Out was one of the first movie's I saw in a theater. But my favorite is King Creole!!! This was his last live performance. He used to play gospel music when he couldn't sleep at night.

It breaks my heart to see Elvis looking so bad in that video! He was a truly remarkable talent that was gone too soon!!! Ty, do "The Wonder of You" by Elvis!!!
@Sharon Brucks Sadly I'm sure he thought because he took prescription medication he wasn't out of control. The world could see the damage it did but I think he convinced himself he was ok.
April Sutterfield thankyou. This performance was terrible. He looks physically like crap, and he’s singing so overly dramatic. A charactature. He died shortly after.

The Righteous Brothers originally did this song but Elvis liked it and preformed it at this concert. An original song by Elvis that went to No. 2 is called Burning Love, his last really big hit from 1972.

Love it!! My Man Elvis!! I saw him in July 1976 & was to see him again on August 20, 1977. Always beautiful to me. His voice was four octaves or higher. He loved to see how high the notes he could reach. People always comment on his end. But he was only human like the rest of us and gave so much. He loved us fans and would come down to Gates of Graceland or his others homes to greet his fans. And took time for autographs. Pilamaya (Thank You)
One of the greatest live performances by Elvis -- about two months before he died -- from near-operatic to falsetto perfection. And he plays the piano throughout. Not an easy song to sing. The original doo-wop-pop version recorded by Vito and the Salutations -- very falsetto -- (1963) and then covered by The Righteous Brothers (1965) who also had a hit with it. Bobby Hatfield's vocal at the conclusion is absolutely magical and spine-chilling when he hits the high notes. One of those songs where the title is never mentioned in the song. It written by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret (1955) and many of the recorded versions started with Les Baxter, Al Hibbler, and Roy Hamilton each. Then, in the UK -- by Al Hibbler, Les Baxter, Jimmy Young & Liberace, all appeared in the Top 20. But it's Hatfield's singing in the Righteous Brothers version that is considered the 20th Century Classic at #27 out of 100. Presley obviously paying tribute to the song in this concert as he did earlier in the concert -- when he sang Timi Yuro's classic "Hurt," with equal drama & power. Elvis surprised the audience when he played the acoustic guitar during some early songs and then sat at the piano to sing. Things he seldom did, though those in his tight circle, knew he could do. Great little TH-cam feature Modern Renaissance Man. Keep them coming. Thanks.
This is from one of his last shows. Two months later, he was gone. My Dad and I watched this in the eighties, and when it was over, we both just sad there in silence for a while. Finally, my Dad said, "That was tough," and he reached up and wiped a tear away. I was sitting there about to wipe a tear away myself. He poured his whole soul into it.
Incredible performance. This is the prove that Elvis on his last consert was more than a rock and roll singer. He was a real Sopran. He sings on the level of a Sopran!Fantastic!
Yeah, this is close to his death. He was overweight and addicted and was a time bomb ticking. I didn’t appreciate him while he was alive cause I was too young. But looking back, he was handsome, a great vocalist, and a good heart. I really appreciate him now. I feel terrible that he died at only 42. And btw, I’m in your older group too!😃
Your fan base 50 and up were alive when he was and possibly seen him in concert. I'm one of them his voice just went through you reverberated your body there will never be another entertainer like him. Unchained melody came out in 1955 long before ghost many people have recorded it. Elvis was well known for playing the piano as the guitar.
My grandmother raised us on Elvis but I was the only one who really fell in love with him. She went to many concerts of his, saw him in Bono Ar when he was just getting started and was touring with Johnny Cash. She was lucky enough to get a handkerchief, she gave it to me a couple years ago. I will be buried with it and If I Can Dream will be played.

Holy Smokes that is crazy!
Beautiful!
Almost same stories as me growing up with dad & elvis music. 🎶 😉
I think the whole world cried when Elvis died. I was 12 years old, and I remember it like it was yesterday... Thanks for your great story!
I’m 18 and I love your videos. I’m starting to find an interest in Rock and Jazz. Which is quite awkward when I’m with my friends since they all listen to HipHop. But I’ll live and die with Elvis Presley’s voice. Oh my god. So beautiful
Thx. If you've already subbed thanks. Feel free to share with friends, family and any social media!
He was still having a powerful voice as sick as he was just to please his fans dedicated entertainer
Thank you for this video, good to see young people reacting to Elvis
Theres a reason they called him THE KING. Glad u enjoyed his man.
Elvis, Left This World In TEARS.. LOTS Of LOVE.
You looked mesmerized at some scenes in the vid, bro. Good to see Elvis still brings it..
Good vid..
Thank you for featuring Elvis...
Elvis is missed and will always be the king.
elvis forever the king...thank god for brother bob...tcb.
He is just best singer ever... and I think forever will be.. nobody could bring any song with that emotion like Elvis did...
kila wouldn’t say the best singer but one of the best for sure
@@Zion-hg3cs
Who is better? :)
kila don’t get me wrong I love elvis I listen to him almost every day but I personally think if we’re talking about pure voice talent and range I reckon Freddie murcury or for someone back when elvis was in his prime I think dean Martin had a better if not the same grade of voice Jackie Wilson aswell
I agree100% Elvis Presley was a diamond a very talented a Gorgeous man nobody sung the Emotional songs like Elvis could nobody.
Sandra Miller what about Jackie Willson? He was the best emotional song singer I’ve ever heard I think him and elvis are equal
What a voice! Rest in peace dear Elvis!

This is from the CBS special only 6 weeks before his death. His amazing voice never left him.
Aww man. Ya gotta do KENTUCKY RAIN. I live in Tupelo, MS. Just around the corner from Elvis’ house 😁
Very underrated song and one of his best written by Eddie Rabbitt
Connie Whittington yah I’ve seen elvis “shotgun” house so cool!
♥ ♥ ♥
Andrew Solymos I'm also an Eddie Rabbitt fan I saw him in 1980 at Summerfest in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Lake Michigan outdoor concert and it was only $5 to get in for general admission tickets those were the days
My favorite song he sang.
No matter how many drugs he took his voice never left him.
He sang that song and played the piano
Elvis is the best there ever was, as he put his very heart and soul into every preformance for his somany belovered fans right up to the very end 🤗🤩
Thank you for posting this.
Baby, what you want me to do. '68 Comeback Special. One of the best Elvis performances ever!
The industry slowly stole his life long and last breath ...he passed away shortly after this recording.
Broke my heart that day. .
Oh my my. This is actually sad 😢 and hard to see Elvis like this. R.I.P. Sweet sweet soul. You gave us so very very much. 💐🙏❤
I feel the same.
@@patriciahouck9147 exactly!
Parker, no matter what, should of stepped in with his pants on #!$@ and do something logic! 😞
You're right but it's still one of my fave performance s
His voice never failed him at the end!
Elvis laid bare at a time most stars would hide no one need ask Why is he loved so much
Am loving this. Love that you play Elvis, thank you and God bless you. By the way, I'm a 55 yr old. Who Adored Elvis while he was living and continue to adore him.
Three words... In the Ghetto. My favorite Elvis song of all time.
One of the best songs of his of course I can't deny I love all of his music LOL
That 1 is the bomb!
My favorite as well. Kentucky Rain is good too.
Agreed ! And also Don't Cry Daddy.
I love Mac Davis but Elvis worked his magic on In the Ghetto and made it his own classic gold. Mac wrote an incredible song, though. Sadly, though released nearly 50 years ago, it is still relatable today ... 😢😢😢
Yes. The Ghetto. It's a tear jerker.
I miss Elvis everyday
Imiss he,s music although
Iplay he,s music everyday
I've been a fan from since the
50's and ELvis will always be alive to me he is just like chocolate
To me once i start i can't get enough he made so many
Beautiful songs there all my favs
Love always E rip
I grew up in love with Elvis. Of course he's my Daddy's age!! LOL. He can do no wrong. Spin Out was one of the first movie's I saw in a theater. But my favorite is King Creole!!! This was his last live performance. He used to play gospel music when he couldn't sleep at night.
Who else could do a performance like that with only the most basic sound equipment?.This is long before the high tech digital age
Good bless you Elvis, you really were and still are the best
One of Elvis’s favorite things was gathering around his grand piano at Graceland with several gospel quartets singing one hymn after the other...

Heartbreaking to watch this video he passed away two months later what an absolute stunning performance RIP beautiful from England 💙
My dad was an elvis impersonator (and various other characters as well) when I was a kid, this was one of the ones he'd perform. It's one of my favorites.
Still had the Voice until the end. The Greatest!
FYI..This is one of his last performances before he died...
Oh Lord I'm sitting here bawling like a baby..the tears I cried the day he passed away..I remember it like yestersday..as much as I loved him..I knew he was going home and could finally rest. I just hated to see him go.
The Wonder of You ... yes. Another goodie !
April Sutterfield thankyou. This performance was terrible. He looks physically like crap, and he’s singing so overly dramatic. A charactature. He died shortly after.

He doesn’t look like young Elvis, or 32 year old Elvis but i think he’s still incredibly attractive 🤷♀️ I would probably find 83 year old Elvis attractive lol my husband says I have a weird thing for old guys 😂
Watching that performance makes me cry every time
Elvis was an ill man at that point. Rest in Peace ✌️
Oh this broke my heart because I remember this concert not very long before he passed away. you can almost see death in his face :(
The Righteous Brothers originally did this song but Elvis liked it and preformed it at this concert. An original song by Elvis that went to No. 2 is called Burning Love, his last really big hit from 1972.
Moody Blue was his last big hit as an album and as a single, No.1 on the Billboard country album and single charts. 1977
No they didnt.
mark giles sadly moody blue became a hit cause he passed away. Burning love, was his last top ten hit while he was alive.
Hi from New Zealand, I'm New to your site, thank you for all the Elvis videos.Been a fan since I was 13 now 72, love this version ....
Thank you so much for this reaction video!! I am a HUGE Elvis fan. This is just ONE of the many reasons his was/is the King of Rock and Roll. This was priceless to me💕

Pilamaya (Thank You)
Beautiful voice, beautiful man, beautiful soul.
Can you react to Elvis If I Can Dream from the 68 comeback special? I'm 26 and a huge Elvis fan.
Gorgeous song!!!
Exactly the song I was going to suggest, one of his best imo.
My favorite performance, If I can dream ❤️❤️
that's one of his best
That song & performance was amazing! The 68 come back special is on of my favorites of him!
I’m a new subscriber.....and I like what you’re doing!!! Love it.....and I’m 55!!!!!
Thanks.
How Great Thou Art! Love that song I am 59 years old and a big fan of Elvis
I believe Elvis knew his time was almost here. He missed his mom so much a wife a baby Lisa. He was so broken a lonely.
Hello! Never seen you before. If you've already subbed Thanks and feel free to share with friends, family, and any social media you have.
I agree! Elvis had an awesome voice!
His last show. He died just weeks later. 42 years old
Yeah, this is close to his death. He was overweight and addicted and was a time bomb ticking. I didn’t appreciate him while he was alive cause I was too young. But looking back, he was handsome, a great vocalist, and a good heart. I really appreciate him now. I feel terrible that he died at only 42.
And btw, I’m in your older group too!😃
I love Elvis to this day, always will, forever in our
I’m 17. I’m a huge Elvis though, and I your videos. Keep up the good work. I suggest “In the Ghetto,” by Elvis.
I was coming to suggest it too, one of my favorite Elvis songs. :)
Good one!!
I’m such a huge elvis fan i love “sand castles “
Have you seen In the gettho by Lisa Marie and ELVIS?
What a amazing voice..hard to believe just six weeks after this performance he passed away.
God I wish I was there
In 1977 I delivered newspapers and I remember seeing the front page that morning, a sad day for sure.
that was the last very song he did on stage live. You can almost tell he was saying good bye. Long Live the King.
Actually, that was not the last song he did live.
His last performance was in Indianapolis, IN on June 26, 1977. This was done a few days earlier.
Elvis' last song was "Can't Help Falling in Love".
God bless Elvis ⛪
