The place was an orphanage, its a tradition here that on first day of eid we will go to our parents and grandparents graves.Orphanage here is not just for children who lost both of their parents, even children who lost either one of their parents and from very poor family are allowed to send their children to orphanage homes, thats explained why most of the children have homes to go bac during eid, maybe both of the character in this video didnt have any family members after their parents passed away and so they made the journey to visit one of their parents grave during first day of eid
That's is an orphanage home, for children without biological parents. Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Singapore 🇸🇬 are some country which has this orphanage home facilitated by the Government or NGOs. The deaf and the blind..this ads never get old..
Fizi blind and Ahmad is not deaf (pekak) but mute (bisu), thats why he hear everthing, including what Fizi said.

I cried sooo bad when i watch this ads years ago. Two best friends from an orphanage ran away to visit the deaf boy mother's grave. The boy's memories with his mother really kills me inside as im a mother myself.
With the technology we're experiencing why am I still surprised that American or the other half world away seeing this or even interested to Malaysian ads!! I am honoured. Which part of States, are you at?

This was about 2 special need orphan children who dont have any relatives. They ran from the orphanage home to visit the cemetery of the deaf boy's mother. The boys were not related, they just good friends at the orphanage home due to thier special needs.
The blind boy suggested the deaf boy to visit his mother grave so they plan to ran away. The note just wrote a Eid wishes and forgiveness for ran away.
At the grave the deaf boy told the blind boy that now his mother is the blind mother too.
I hope by this explanation you might understand the story line.

Thanks for the explanation. We don't encourage here children escaping from orphans because they end up living in the street. But it was good that they want to visit they deaf mother's grave and the blind child help him out. I did not understand it clearly but I think the touching part is when the driver willing to carry them and when the mute/deaf child told the blind that his mother is also his mother. They did not give up despite of the hardship not getting train tickets. I hope they went back to the orphanage after that. - Bas from the Philippines
@@basilioflorendo557 yes, they probably will go back to the orphanage because they are trying to observe the tradition of BALIK KAMPUNG ( go back to hometowns to be with family members) for a few days during eid (raya) People in malaysia will continue with their usual lives like a week after raya, most probably these 2 children will also be sent back to the orphanage. Anyway, this is just a made up story for an advertisement, not a real story .

i've been waiting for u guys to react on this Raya video...i cried when watching...both d kids r orphan...normally during Raya festive we celebrate them with family but the kids are orphan n only know each other when both of them were send thr after their parents died but they decide to celebrate raya together n to visit d deaf kid mum only since d blind kid dont knw whr his mum grave...n once they reached there d deaf boy told to his blind friend that his mum can also be his friend mum...n to live they need each other.waaaaaa so sad...moral value : friendship is powerful ,it leads to happiness whn u value them much. I always tell my children n students.
Unfortunately they feel touch but dont understand the story line.. they confused that make them feel a bit off.

Dang~ you guys reacted to this. I could never watch this again because I for sure will cry. I was once cry on the way to work because I suddenly remembering this commercial.
So 2:19 minutes into it and my eyes are watering. Dang it! Even after 9 freaking years, I still can't watch this without crying.

This is super touching, everyone cried watching this advert.
Its an orphanage. So all the kids there have no parents. So when Raya Celebration, they can go back to celebrate with their relatives like their Uncle. Cause sometimes eventhough they have relatives, their relatives don't have capacities to raise them. So, the deaf Kid miss his late mother and plan on going back to his hometown accompanied by the blind kid. And so on until they arrive at the deaf kid hometown. They using the mosque to take a shower and change to Baju Melayu, attire for celebrating Raya. And last they arrive at the deaf kid's mother grave. The deaf kid said my mother is your mother too because the blind kid never know his parent, maybe he was abandoned since a baby.

The hidden message in this ad that u guys might have missed
(It was such a tearjerker when it came out. In fact, I cried watching it again with u guys)
- The lorry driver is actually non-muslim (Indian), that's why the boys called him uncle, not pakcik (Malay word for uncle). But, he accept the boys and even send them to their desired destination.
- The boys live in an orphanage, Ahmad had a family but his mother passed away and was sent there. But for Fizi, he might not have a family at all, maybe he was abandoned.. That's why Ahmad said that his mother is Fizi's mother too..

To add some context, (@kexetas give a very good explananation) culturally for Malay Muslim to this region, visiting parents during Eid is like a "must" . To those that parents has passed away, the next best thing is to visit their grave. To be able to recite prayer to them at the grave is the closest contact that they may have.
The story is about 2 orphanage boys -- one of them miss his mom badly. Hence, the journey to visit the grave.
1st scene : the truck driver scolded the boys. "Hey what are you doing? Do you think this is a free bus for you to take a ride on?"
Home/Orphanage for kids with no parents or poor parents who dont have the means of support their children full time...
Those with poor families sometimes go back home for pulic holidays or weekends...
There are many private home of this kind ... based on public donations...

i think back in 2012, there's not many sad ads like this..so i think this is the pioneer or what make the current raya ads from normal funny to sad..this ads blew up so many people talk about it a lot

at this time most probably all tickets are sold out and its common due to everyone is 'balik kampung'... sometimes you have to book as early as 2 months lol

around this time,there are also another hari raya or kongsi raya(hari raya and chinese new year) advert,I can't remember from which glc, but that one is very hillarious, there are monster size of ice shave ,giant ice cream... the main actress eat another passenger kuih,and angry at that passenger, only after a while she realise that she were wrong,and she start seing the passenger before.
Today is our king’s birthday, its holiday in malaysia today, we love our king and queen very much as they are humble and kind couple, our queen loves to cook, there lots of videos our queen cooking and telling her recipes in youtube, maybe you can look at some of their videos😁
Yeah.. I love when she did the bubur lambuk last early Ramadan. She baked cookies/biscuits and sent to frontliners. The best part of her that she cooked herself most of the meals for the family. A very humble Queen.

Orphanage either runned by government or NGOs. Children sent here could be orphans, poor children whom their parents can’t afford their schooling and essentials or abandoned children who don’t know their parents or relatives. In their case they are probably orpahns with no other relatives like grandparents or aunts or uncles.. it is a cultural tradition during the first day of eid people will visit the graves first then only after that celebrate with the living relatives..
In Malaysia kids from poor families are sometimes sent to orphanage so that they can get better lives & educations that's why some of the kids get to go home to their family during Raya.
