Such a relief to hear someone going against the narrative of shop more, consume more, you need more, you deserve more. Thank you Alyssa! Merry Christmas to you!
Looove this series! It's really insightful when you break an outfit into details and recreate not the items but the whole idea. Could you please clarify how/where you fixed the other arm of the button-up? I guess we're all wondering :)
It would be helpful for us if you could have shown how to make the off shoulder from button down shirt. But Thank you for always reminding us to shop our closet! Such a great concept
I squealed when I saw the first picture, because I have it pinned too! You've inspired me with these Shop your Closet looks and I started a Pinterest board specifically for outfits I would try to re-create with items in my wardrobe. I went from someone who purchased practically a new wardrobe (20+ pieces) every season to purchasing something once in a blue moon and prioritizing longevity in those purchases. Watching your videos for a couple years now has brought such a mindset shift in how I approach purchases and it's made me so much more creative with my closet than I ever was. So thank you!
This is so inspirational. I just want to go through my closet for holiday looks. I know I have some treasures in there that just need creativity to make them event worthy.
Love these videos. They help so much. Doing another no shop year again in 2024 and Shop Your Closet videos are very helpful for me to appreciate what I have.
I love watching you go through the process of trying different elements together to reach the end result. I’ve just remembered a sparkly jumper that’s in a cupboard somewhere - I’m off to find it & pop it in the wash to reintroduce it to my winter wardrobe. Thank you Alyssa for inspiring us to use what we have.
Great job, as always! I love the new use of text in the video to reinforce the elements you are talking about in the look that you are breaking down. Have a wonderful holiday, Alyssa. I'm so thankful for you!
I hope that you had a blessed Christmas holiday & New Years Day, Alyssa. ❤Thank you for your video content to challenge us to work with what we have in our closets. I put together so many new outfits, & it's fun! ❤
Love this Alyssa ♥️ Your styling hacks are so uncomplicated and easily implemented making cool girl fashion attainable to everyone by tonight’s holiday party with a little imagination and closet play. A less is more mentality that makes dressing for any occasion more creative, individualized and super fun. Thanks for the inspiration 🌹
I enjoy Pinterest for inspiration at times but hate how much advertising and links it has now. It ruins it for me that you can’t just save the photos… it’s all links to shop from Amazon or random sites. But I love your shop your closet videos and showing your process!! I’m a long time subscriber and really appreciate how I recognize a lot of your wardrobe because you actually keep things and wear them! 😁💕. This is wonderful for inspiration and a great reminder that we don’t need to continually shop.
Oooh fun! Makes me want to get into my wardrobe and play. I can create a version of outfits 1 and 2, but don't have a shirt for look 3 but a navy cardi would maybe be an interesting alternative, tucking the sleeves inside. It would either be genius or a mess. I have worn cardis back to front in the past, like they used to do in the 1950's with a v-back and buttons going down the back. Thanks Alyssa for all your creative mixing and matching ideas.
Wonderful versitility Alyssa. It is just so great to watch you have light bulbs pop off in my head and Know l can Shop My Closet! You are such an ispiration. Always. Thank you ❤
I really wanted to ask for a video with outfits for no shoes home parties with family and kids, but technically I have a similar jumpsuit, so I will probably just go with that idea :)
Merry Christmas Alyssa! May your hopes, wishes & dreams come to be in the year ahead. Thank you for your wonderful tips and inspirational videos! Keep on ❤
For me the key feature of the first look is the softness and the volume of the sweater juxtaposed to the almost bare feet. There could be a trouser or a crop pant or something else instead of the slip skirt, and the look would still work.
Haha wow!! I went to Pinterest to inspire my shop my closet for a holiday party this weekend and picked out the exact same pic as your first look and a nearly identical outfit from my closet 😅 Except my sweater and (skinny patent) belt are black
I liked some of the looks, especially the black jumpsuit with the red pump. Some of the other looks seemed a bit uncomfortable, almost forced. But a good lesson all in all.
All looks were great, however trying to turn the black shirt into something off-shoulder was too much of a stretch for me. You can carry it off because you are tall and very thin. Most of us would look ridiculous !!
I love the Shop Your Own Closet videos and that is what I do and find a rarely need to purchase much new. However, I just did not like this first outfit. The skirt was beautiful but, in my opinion, it didn’t look good with the sweater. Maybe it’s just me.
I love your channel and the “shop your closet “ is such a great idea from many standpoints. But I’m finding it a bit hard to understand the 15,000.00 purse you showed us in one of your other videos. I see why you love it, it has a lot to offer, and is a great bag, but at some point the expense starts to outpace the value in a purse. You could buy a pretty decent car for that! Please help me understand how that makes sense. I love investing in good pieces, but there is certainly a limit!

Yes please, Alyssa. A quick demo on the shirt (maybe in a lighter colour or striped shirt so it's easier to see on vid.🙏
I love adding a red shoe to give a simple monochromatic outfit a real pop and some pizazz! Looked great on you too! Great video, thanks!
Yaaayyy!!! Shop Your Closet - my favourite - and I am never disappointed - thank you Alyssa!!! 💕

I would’ve love to see that camel silk skirt with a cream sweater
I feel the same. One neutral is cool and the other is warm, it's not the most harmonious combo. I recommend Ellena Hue's videos on color combinations.
So beautiful!!! I loved all the looks. I have never seen a button up shirt styled that way. Amazing!

Great video! Loved all your outfits. I would have put your black bustier with the last outfit…..not asymmetrical, but a great look. 😍
I always appreciate the shop our closet ideas! I did see today that Fashionphile has a tan and a gray Loewe puzzle bag in their new arrivals!
Oooh fun! Makes me want to get into my wardrobe and play.

Love it Alyssa!! Keep us showing us how to find variety in what we already have
I love hearing the process of how you think for your outfit creations, love this series, Merry Christmas Alyssa!
Was able to come up with 3 great outfits just from the first look - seriously, your process is fascinating and so helpful!
I can’t help wondering what the back of the off 5he shoulder shirt looked like. Mine looked awfully lumpy. But then I am lumpier than you are.
Exactly! I was wondering the same. Such a great idea though...I think I will try it anyway sometime.
I really wanted to ask for a video with outfits for no shoes home parties with family and kids, but technically I have a similar jumpsuit, so I will probably just go with that idea :)

absolute perfect timing! was searching 'outfit ideas' because I wanna watch something before bed and this pops up!
Love the shop your closet videos. The second look was amazing!
I love the shirt made into a one shoulder top! I can't wait to try this with my cream satin shirt.
Great looks and thoughtful interpretation of the inspiration outfits. Thank you! I’ve been loving your 12 days of Christmas bog posts too!
I now know what I'm wearing for New Years Eve. Thank you! Now, I just need some work wear.

my favorite videos!! :) merry Christmas, Alyssa!
Photo inspiration 1 is from Mango 😊
Love these series. I don’t want to shop more; I definitely want to shop my closet more. Thank you for these videos. 😊
For look number two, do you have a blue shoe? That would pick out the watch dial.
Always interesting combos! Love the one with thr red shoes.... ❤❤❤❤
I liked some of the looks, especially the black jumpsuit with the red pump. Some of the other looks seemed a bit uncomfortable, almost forced. But a good lesson all in all.
I discovered Ada through you and love her style too!
how did you tie your shirt to make it off the shoulder :O That was genius!
Yes, wonderful, Merry Christmas!
What did you do with the other sleeve from the button up ? Did it just get tucked in the waistband at the back? Clever idea for sure.
I love the idea of the black shirt off the shoulder
I love your content. Not sure I would go as far as wearing the button up shirt sideways but I have to say that is a very creative idea. 👍
Oh, this one struck a creative chord in me! Thanks, Alyssa! - ilona
Love your today styling of hair + big hoops!❤😊🎉
So cool what you did with the black shirt!
Loooove all the outfits. Still diying ove the black overal with red shoes. ❤
Always great tips !
Love your styles !
My satin skirt creases horribly 😕
I love it 6:08 !

Brava!
❤
How many outfits do you need?
I need about 5, all variations of jeans and a top…. But it’s fun to see how people with social lives dress!
As many as you want or events you want to attend 😊!

She explained in her last video that she paid... 2K for it if I remember correctly? Too rich for my blood, but clearly not 15K.
Oh, well that makes more sense! It’s a beautiful and very versatile piece!
Your red button down and tartan skirt...hmmm?
