Really nice even coloring using the brayer. I had never seen an embossing before this. Thanks for showing the affects of brayering on both sides of the embossing folder.
Thank You Soooo Much Crystal, for your Demo. I hv bought a few Embossing Folders,so with your Tips I will try to make a few Greeting Cards with Your way of Embossing as a Background. Thanks once again! Bye!
I am new to card making and have recently gotten a cuttlebug and enjoy playing with it so far. Your braying (sp?) technique is really nice, will try that soon. I have to learn more about the different type of ink / stamps. Thanks again... Melinda Strange Huntsville, TX
I tried this a while ago using a braver in my cattle bug and it doesn't come out that perfect, ink gets in between the raised areas so I gave up, this was last year. I will give it another try, clearly I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for sharing. Big thumbs up 😊
Same problem - I'm going to try using a brayer that's not as soft, though I may find it won't pick up enough color. If that doesn't work out, I'll see if I can learn how to use a lighter touch w/the soft brayer. Demonstrators always make techniques look easy - I wish they'd explain what not to do (in other words, share the mistakes they made while learning a new technique) and indicate whether a particular tecnique is easy, moderately difficult or whatever. I'm never sure how much time I'll need to set aside to practice, especially if I have to use unfamiliar tools.
Hi Crystal! I enjoyed your video and really want to try this technique! However, I wanted to know if the ink you used was pigment or dye ink...could I use both for this? Thanks!
Rebecca Miller If you don't have a machine you can use your brayer to transfer the ink but don't think it will actually emboss the card. Use quite a bit of pressure (usually by standing up to apply pressure)
I’m always amazed at how “older” techniques come around again!
