    When I want to use a brayer on an embossed surface I put the paper back in the embossing folder opened up. I brayer it this way so it doesn't push the embossed surface back down. Makes it a little easier. Thanks for all the great videos. Makes my day when I see you have another video up!

    These are great techniques! Another way to really amp up the color is if you tamp directly from the ink pad before dry embossing with the stencil. I just did a video on this a few weeks ago. Love stencils! They are so versatile. 🙂

  • @dcserafin7024

    Love the differences between peaks and valleys when brayering on embossed papers. Certain folders present better than others, but the abstract backgrounds set off sentiments. I have also used vellum to soften the image. I find that embossed patterned note cards are bases that can be used in many ways...card fronts, word sentiment die cuts, and image or shape die cuts. Your style encourages experimentation! Thank you! Diane

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Often send my cards in mailers because they have lots of dimensions. Most have gems or pearls on them. But if it was just the embossing folder usage I would like use the Butterfly stamps to stop the card from going through the postal machines and flattening it out

    Hi Jennifer, I tried this technique yesterday with not so good results. I didn’t choose a real dark ink but it wasn’t as light as yours. My end result was a background with uneven ink distribution and looking very splotchy. I tried changing inks, changing paper weight, all to no avail. Any suggestions. I would really like to perfect this and create some beautiful cards. Stuck in Wisconsin.
