This week, I built my mom a Hoth Diorama for Mother’s Day.
Her favorite Star Wars creature is the Taun-Taun and she loves little things, so a 1/72nd scale diorama was the obvious choice! This was my first diorama and although I had some bumps along the way, I can confidently say, I am quite proud of the final result.
In the video, I’ll walk you through the process of roughing in a design for your terrain, and then share a few tips and tricks on how to make your own custom rock molds and snow flocking using ingredients easily found in stores or online. No need to buy small expensive batches of the stuff when you can make it in bulk for pennies on the dollar!

For a first diorama build you definitely nailed it. And 1:72 scale figures are not an easy size to work with. Hope you keep making these - very nicely done!

These are so good! You have a good knack for trying something, over doing it just a hair (like the footprints / leaky fluid) and then adjusting back to the right amount. Like doing EQ balancing in music. Great project ❄️
