  • Flash back to the 1970s for this decadent classic. Simple, luxurious, and crazy delicious - it deserves to go back into the recipe rotation! Chicken, cheese, ham in a rich butter wine sauce, what's not to love? Give it a shot, you will thank yourself for it.
No better way to pass the time while cooped up in the house due to the Corona virus than getting in the kitchen and making some delicious food!
Make it for one, two or a crowd!
Recipe below is per serving...simply multiply by how many servings to get the correct amount!
    1 boneless skinless chicken breast
    1 slice deli ham
    1 slice Swiss cheese
    1/4 cup dry white wine
    1/4 tsp chicken bouillon
    1 Tbsp butter
    Seasoned flour
    1/4 Cup flour
    1/4 tsp paprika
pinch of salt and fresh ground pepper
    Directions
Combine seasoned flour ingredients and set aside
Put chicken breast between piece of cling wrap or in large heavy duty plastic bag and pound to 1/4 inch thickness
Season each side with salt and pepper. Place ham and cheese on underside of chicken breast and roll. Secure with tooth pick. Coat with seasoned flour. Heat butter in small skillet and brown chicken breast on all sides over medium heat. Add wine and bouillon, reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes.
Remove toothpick, spoon sauce over chicken and enjoy!

@@MakingItwithChris It turned out really well! I used pepperoni and swiss. The toughest part for me at first was rolling up the chickens and keeping them together with the toothpick. Once I rewatched that part a few times I got the hang of it! Thanks for the great vid

Chris, hi, I'm just getting ready to cook the chicken and I noticed you said it was an 8-in pan but I think you meant 10 or 12-in pan, right? You make it look so easy I forgot to relook at the video and I have six toothpicks in the bottom of each one. I hope this works out! Looks like it will. Awesome.

I agree with most of what you said J, however at the same time, 2 fighters, undefeated, same weight class, saying they'll fight ANYBODY need to prove every one of those claims by signing these contracts. Apparently, staying undefeated is more important than taking real challenges in the sport. I have to give it up to Frank Martin for taking that Tank fight. A lot of people said he wast ready, but his resume looks better, he's gained experience and who knows, based on the 1st 3 or 4 rounds he might be able to get a fight 2 and the money should be good. So as far as the Boots vs Norman fight, I say do it. But don't let the reason you don't do it, be because your not sure you can win. That's what training is for, study your opponent and train like you want to win

wowwww!!! this is super deelicious Chris!!!!! First off, this was recorded in March and I am watching this in September 2020...hopefully things are much better where u are. Here in Qatar, things are 90% back to normal. We are stage 4 in reopening and have recorded a 97.4% recovery rate country wide -- mind u, Qatar is a small Gulf country -- lols :-D. Hoping u & yours are keeping healthy, happy, & safe. Secondly Chris, 3 questions over here: can i use processed turkey slices ?? and again, what can i replace the wine with and third..can i use shredded mozzarella ???? thanks soooo muchhhhh as always!!! Please keep safe, happy, & healthy. Cheers!

Thank you so much for watching my videos! I really do appreciate it, and am very happy to hear you’re liking what you see. As far as how we’re doing, we’re keeping happy, safe and have remained healthy so far. Regarding your questions...yes, you could certainly use the turkey slices in place of the ham. I’m guessing it’s precooked considering it’s processed slices - please make sure you’re being safe with your food temperatures to avoid getting sick. If it is indeed the ham you’re looking to substitute, you could use any thin sliced meat. I might suggest something with more of a contrast of flavor to the chicken, a beef or lamb product would work as well. Again, keep in mind food safety and proper temperatures. I’ve found that a suitable substitute for recipes calling for wine Is chicken stock. If you wanted to increase the flavor, you could whisk in a teaspoon of mustard at the end once you take out the chicken. Shredded mozzarella would be fine. And if you have access to fontina, a mixture of the two works very well.
I hope that helps. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any other questions. Be well my friend!

before you put the chicken on the flour, it needs eggs! so the flour can get stuck to the chicken. otherwise, it is not going to have the crunchy texture.

    • @MakingItwithChris
      @MakingItwithChris  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Thanks for the time to leave a comment, Rossana! In this case I’m not going for a “crunchy texture.” I know there’s a lot of folks that like that and will even roll the chicken in crushed Corn Flakes.
