Thanks for the video, just troubleshooting my old em650. Rarely used, was running a couple of months back but only with the choke on? Now it won’t run today, i swapped the fuel for fresh, followed your video and stripped and cleaned the carb the best I could without an ultrasonic cleaner, some tarnishing on the float but the bill was relatively clean. Starts with fuel in the spark plug hole but then dies too. Away to try taking the exhaust off, if not it must be a carb issue unless you have any other ideas? Fuel flows down the pipe when it is switched to run and not connected to the carb, and the bowl was full when taking it off. Thanks in advance for any help from Scotland!
I would assume it is the carb. If possible try replacing it. If not may be a good idea to get a container of carb cleaner and let it soak over night or for a few hours then try cleaning again. These have very small passage ways and the smallest of obstructions can cause issues
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn thank you for that, I was in the process of using it at work, as I’m busy cleaning out a unit with no power. I do have an ultrasonic bath I recently got at home for cleaning diesel injectors, but will give it a clean when I get it home. I managed to get her up and running, stripped down the carb again and took out the pilot jet and main jet, I’ve just learnt what they are! Cleaned them through with what I had to hand, some nylon bristles from a brush! Carb needed a couple of screws out before it ran, so thinking it need a clean out, but did the job for the meantime! Thanks for your help.
Nice job! Have any parts for these EM650's? I need the end cover where the electrical outlets are and a fuel switch/petcock. Have anything? Thanks in advance!

THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING SMARTER THEN THE HONDA DEALER IN CAMBRIDGE OHIO WHO COULDNT GET MINE RUNNING MUFFLER... !! FIXED IT... FIRST PULL NOW

i had the same isue with mine, i just hit the muffler a bunch with a hammer and a ton of carbon chunk got out, i then soaked it in diesel over night.
Diesel is a good idea. I didn't have any diesel at the time but that would be good
Its not getting petrol clean carb if still cutting out check oil maby low
