I have a 1090 r and I do love it! It still keeps impressing me every day and I can't imagine anything better than this bike both on and off road.

Im hesitating between this one and the 790 r...have you tried it ?
No, I haven't, but I know they are quite different. I sat I a 790 and it feels much smaller, more agile and offroad orientated though. Don't think you can have the same feeling of a smooth, solid, beast of the 1090.
Your height is a key factor as well. When I drive my 1090 it doesn't feel heavy at all, but I'm 6'2" and wide guy, it may be to bulky it you are no strong guy.
I have to tell you I couldn't choose between any other... I just turned anxious, nervous every time I looked the 1090... 😆
@@ignaciogarciadecarellan4225 thanx for ur answer, I will have to try the 1090, I've tried the 790 and it felt, like you said, so easy !! And 95hp was just enough, the front is so light you can do wheelies without knowing how to do it 😅 I'm hesitating also because of the price : you can have a 790 new for the same price of a 1090 r used with few kilometers
Great vid mate that's a good honest review of that bike I felt about the same on it when I test road one . I actually ended up buying Africa twin mainly cause of $$$ saving and I must say im very happy with honda . Still love katos tho

I don't know, I really liked the way the KTM handled the road.
I have a KTM 690 enduro and I am looking to replace it with either a 1090 or an Africa Twin for some longer trips. I will need to ride them both and make up my mind. I can tell you that the KTM is probably a bit more raw and edgy if my experience with the 690 is any guide...
I liked the 1090 a lot
Get the 1090 and add it to the 690. Two different riding propositions. Do not sell your 690, you will regret it.
If you want to gigantic KLR 650 get the Africa twin. If you want to feel liberated and spirited stick with the KTM.

Hey how tall are you? Able to tip toe both feet I would like to know what’s a good height or insame?
I'm 6'2", 32 inches inseam. Both feet on the ground, not flat footing it but not quite tiptoeing either. 👍

I'd demo'd an 1190 and it's got significantly more power than the 1090. The 1290 just feels quite large and heavy in comparison to the other two.
