For the Fairwind, I like to imagine that she's an adapted yacht, rather than a dedicated warship designed from the ground up to look like a primitive world's wooden galleon. My thoughts would instead be that the war's gone on long enough and been bad enough that they're scrapping the barrel for ships or ship designers. Primitive sail ship? We need more ships so, screw it, we'll find a way to adapt it for space travel. Alternately, you have a ship designer that's only designed sail ships, and now they're designing space ships on the only basis they have experience with, and the rest of the design team handles making it spaceworthy.
Fun move would be that the sails serve a purpose - shield generator emitters, sensor platforms, etc.

A smaller one, Hohass "Runt" Ekwesh served as a member of the Commando/X-Wing unit Wraith Squadron, featured in the X-Wing novels Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, Solo Command, and Mercy Kill. The Vie-vex fighter is the main Star fighter of The Imperial Horde Diamond Authority and is the backbone of their naval fighters measuring at a length of 39.1ft (11.9m) and at a Wingspan 30.8ft (9.4m) and at the Height 21.2ft (6.5m) this fighter is medium size of it's design and it's engine unit is a single ion engine that gave it a thrust to movie it forward it's atmosphere speed is about 2,300 mph while it's MGLT speed is about 400 MGLT while it's firepower are a mix of L-s1 laser cannon and Blaster Cannons, Twin used on the Single Trooper Aerial Platform or STAP (which are from star wars) and there are six in total three on each wing. The design of the Vievex fighter was base off of the The HYDRA Parasit fighter plane used by Hydra and when Steven was stopping a hydra agent he found a flash-drive he put it in his jacket pocket and later he was capture by Lex Luther it fell out of his pocket and as Lex Luther found it and showed everyone of this fighter they like it and made a few changes like the body of the fighter instead of it being a suicide bomber it's bod reassembles a f16 fighter jet while the wings and cockpit were move slightly a bit like WW2 fighter planes and the cockpit joystick is now a two handed yoke and when Veon told them about this manufacturing plant called Syeconn Fleet System they took it to them and they made several of them. They lack shields and a life support system and a hyperdrive built into them yet it's speed gives it the edge and the Imperial Horde Diamond Authority use them in massive swarms to overwhelm their enemies. with this deadly Star-fighter will ensure the galactic dominance of the Imperial Horde Diamond Authority.

Okay, I got a good one: The Hapan Battle Dragon.
The ship is just so freaking *bad*, it not only looks like someone accidently glued the observation platforms of some tourist trap together, which comes with a whole host of visual and structural issues by itself, the weapons layout is also completely *asinine*.
You see, unlike literally every other capital ship design philosophy , the Hapans thought that putting Ion Cannons and Turbolasers into fixed batteries was too boring, and instead put their guns on *conveyor belts* that run around the top and discs. The engineering implications I leave for you to figure out, and shudder once it settles in just what exactly that means.
The reason? The weapons have a very slow rate of fire, so, rather than compensate for that like a reasonable person, like alternating dual-barrels or rotary guns, the Hapans put them on these stupid conveyors so that, while one gun recharges, a fresh one can move into place, meaning the ship has a blind spot the size of itself whenever it is shooting at something.
What's more, the Hapans also figured they would use these ships in massed formations and gang up on single or small groups of targets, so they also skimped on the targeting computers, putting way too few for all their weapons on the ships to be useful, meaning that they are basically just throwing a random hail of gunfire at the enemy and hope for the best if a Battle Dragon is found alone.
This is the kind of ship that makes me wonder just what in the everloving grace of God the Hapans were smoking during that design meeting, and why the one suggesting it wasn't immediately fired or put to the firing squad for that insanity.

Spaceships made from gigantic hollowed out dead insects is pretty awesome as a concept, it just doesn't gel well with established SW
A sci-fi setting where that was the norm would be pretty wild

So... bit of a theory (really more of a headcanon) regarding the Millennium Falcon and the whole "cargo pod" thing that rectifies it with other lore about the ship:
The ability to act as a tugboat for intermodal cargo pods wasn't the primary role of the YT-1300, but rather a repurposing of the loading grapples of early-run YT-1300s that prompted CEC to make an intermodal docking system a standard option for the ship. The YT-1300 wasn't the first YT-series ship with an offset cockpit, that would be the YT-1200. But the YT-1200 has a single dorsal mandible containing a loading crane, which implies the side cockpit design was to facilitate front-end loading rather than any sort of attachable cargo pods. The YT-1300 replaced this crane with a magnetic loading grappler so that it could be used in microgravity, however this also effectively gave the ship a short-ranged tractor beam which some pilots started using to haul extra cargo in external containers. CEC did have an external cargo container option for the YT-1300, but it was designed to be attached on top of the ship and wasn't compatible with standard intermodal cargo systems. So eventually, after seeing how people were using the YT-1300's loading grapples (as well as having to deny warranty repair requests due to this unintended use of a ship feature), CEC decided to add a magnetic docking clamp for standardized intermodal racks to the YT-1300's mandibles, available as both an aftermarket upgrade and as a factory option. As for the unusually high flight performance and maneuverability for a freighter, CEC also prides themselves in making ships for starship enthusiasts. Most of their ships even up to the CR-90 Corvette have significantly better flight performance and maneuverability for ships of their size and role.
This rectifies the existence of the intermodal docking system with other, incompatible or just "nonsensical" options and features of the YT-1300, such as the front loading hatch, center cockpit and armored hull options, dockable shuttle and snub fighter options and the various internal layout options that vary in space efficiency.

I just found out about the "Darksaber" superweapon, which was basically the Hutts took the Death Star's main gun assembly, wrapped it in durasteel hull that made it look like a lightsaber (with some engines at the back), and boom, instant stupid design. Yes it made it smaller and more easy to maneuver, but it looks like a giant lightsaber in space, and that's just silly.

It wasn't stupid... it was just the weapon, propulsion, and power plant. Which made it completely vulnerable to... well... anything.

It's lazy planning, these designers seem to think we'll accept anything they copy out of a nature magazine or seeing a design in split spaghetti sauce on the table. Star Trek at lease takes the time to come up with reasonable designs rather than throwing spaghetti at a wall and watch it sag and fall.

From what I've heard, in novel it's resemble a bird and in Villeneuve's adaptation is more like a dragonfly...

I've loved the Ghtroc 720 since the early 90s, as it was the default starting ship for the "smuggler" character template of the D6 RPG, and it has more passenger and cargo space than the stock YT-1300. Perfect for transporting a party of PCs... ;-)

I think the AT-M6 is an example of an animal-like vehicle done well.
The AT-AT looked intimidating af, so I can see why the designers nailed in on that towering, imposing shape, and just beefed it up further, while evoking the design of some unknown ape-like predator creature
There's no downsides to the design, and it's good that the larger front legs and larger body to accommodate the mega-calliber 6 gun make sense and are practical

I hate cockpits that are not centered on faster ships. To me this make navigation significantly harder when you wnat to go anywhere that is not big empty space. Plus I find it goofy as you put it. Also for Savages ship, I dissagre with you. To me their is absolutly no reason for the engines to be put into such vulnerable spot other than give the ships legs. Seriously those thing slooks so fragile and house one of the most improtant component.

Impractical space-sails at least can be an opulence/wealth/indulgence thing. Consider that a space-only vessel doesn't need to worry about how aerodynamic it is, and also just say it's a radiator or something.
